Highest recommendation! A+ all the way. Tire Town Express (formerly Marbren Tire) is as good as it gets. I have been using this service center for over 15 years, principally to mount new tires I buy on-line from Tire Rack and ships to this location. Tire Town is one of their few approved installers in this area. Manager and crew are fantastic and very friendly too. They love their work and take great care doing the best job possible. The team member who replaced my worn tires balanced the new ones just-so, investing extra time doing it, and double-checking his work. The interested engineer I am, he let me watch the process up close. He also took the time to show me very uneven wear on one side of my left-rear tire. He pointed out such asymmetric wear can only come from poor wheel alignment. He left the decision to choose alignment entirely up to me. 'Turns out he was right! Their alignment expert invested well over an hour aligning all four wheels one by one to close tolerance, availing himself of the latest sophisticated laser-based equipment Tire Town has for this goal. It was inspiring to watch his intense focus on his craft. He also gave me a before-and-after printout, showing how especially one of the rear wheels had gone way out of spec. The practical result is that my little two-seater cabriolet, a car for enthusiasts, tracks better and no longer wonders around ever so slightly. It is refreshing to know and trust a company in the car business that puts the client first, does not upsell, does a great job every time, and has a superbly skilled team working to the highest standards. I can't recommend Marbren Tire (now renamed Tire Town Express) highly enough. I got new tires there in 2019 and their prices were reasonable, they were friendly, fast and efficient. After hitting a bad pothole on the LIE in Aug. 2022, they had a replacement tire in stock, suggested I only needed 1 new tire when I thought I would need at least 2 and I was in and out in about an hour. Vinny, the Manager is friendly and awesome as is Roberto in the shop. They don't give you a hard-oversell and suggest unneeded parts and repairs like some of their nearby 21st Street competitors. They are very conveniently located in LIC near the LIE, and near the 59th Street bridge and Queens Midtown Tunnel. read more

These guys are great. Super nice, honest, and affordable. I've used them multiple times for tires, and most recently was in and out within 30 minutes for a patch for a flat (they had an issue with their card reader and took a few bucks off, charging me $20 for the patch). Failed my annual inspection for dry-rotting tires and sidewall cracks on all four oem tires. As a result I was headed out to the Vernon Blvd Costco when I spotted Marbren Tire. Decided to get a quote versus having to wait hours while Costco did their magic. Price quoted by Marbren Tire for four Michelin Defender 215/60R16 were priced approximately $30 more than their competitors. Decisions .... continue going to Costco or give these guys a shot? Total cost (out the door!) was $732.93 ....kind of high and not exactly V-rated tires but close. WTH..decided to give Vinny and Marbren a try. I was "in and out" in less than a hour. Will keep them in my rolodex simply because they have a decent selection of tires, provide alignments and appear honest. The Employees at this business are Fantastic! They truly care about their customers and potential ones as well who spend nothing but just need there help. I came here because as I was driving my car started to smoke. A man came out and looked at my engine and checked my tires. He gave me an assessment of what was wrong. He Even tried to wipe some of the oil off the inside of the engine for me. Something was wrong with one of my tires they were very honest in that I was able to get to get to my destination and back home safely. Gave me a very fair price on how much it would cost o change my tires. I think they have a liable and very trustworthy and I know how hard that is to find. We truly were looking to help a gal out in need of help and I'm not trying to push business on me. I will definitely be back to get my tires changed and will continue to come here for my car service needs. I think they are great. read more

Quick, efficient and friendly. I walked in around 9:30 AM to have a tire patched. I had actually messaged this place and several others requesting a quote before deciding to head here. I got a response earlier in the morning that said just bring in the car. I did just that and about 30 minutes later I was on my way with a repaired tire. $18, cash only. I don't usually write reviews , but in simple words this place is great. Excellent service. Excellent people. When there on a Saturday morning and they right away help me with my tires. I had order the wrong tires thru the internet services. They pointed out why it would not worked and luckily for me had the set that I need it. By the way cheaper than the internet service. Again to my surprise 8 tough looking guys run the garage but the main attraction was the CAT that is there. They share their story about their cats specially the owner and they just made my Saturday a pleasure to get my tires change. I took their business card and for sure I will return to this place for any tire needs. I will recommend them to any one who likes great service. And 'cats' dogs or any animal lover. read more

We needed a run flat replaced and all the shops in the area were on backorder for the tire including the dealer. However, this place has come thru again. When we called them in the morning at 8 they said they didn't have the tire in their system and the guy took our phone number down and said he would check again. He called 10 minutes later indicating he checked another system and they did in fact have it. We brought the car in right away and they had it done in half an hour. These guys seem to be pretty honest and straightforward. No BS. They have the largest selection of tires available. I would definitely come back to them the next time I'm in a bind. Service is friendly and they don't try to upsel you on other things. They are busy but they are pretty efficient. We were in and out in about half hour. Prices are also pretty fair. read more

Over the past two years I have repeatedly come back to Marbren tire to get my winter/summer tires switched over, which any other shop usually makes it a chore. January 17, 2019 Good installer. They know their stuff. Convenient for those of us living in Manhattan provided you go before or after rush hour as they are off Van Dam St near the 59th st bridge in Queens. My first time using them. they took about an hour to change out, all four of my old 20inch Low Profile Hankook V12 Ventus EVO and balance, mount, new 20inch Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+. I arrived at 8am left at 9am. $40 per tire. Will definitely use them again on my second car when those tires are gone. read more

I was in this morning with not one but *two* flat tires - right front and back - on my beloved Subaru. The tech I saw took one look at my tires and told me I needed new ones (these had 58k miles on them, so I sort of knew that was in my future). However, at my last service appointment, the dealer had said the tires still had enough tread. Moreover, as a young woman walking alone into a tire shop, my level of trust was not super high. Peter K. and his team showed me where the leaks were and why it would be dangerous to repair tires with punctures so close to the side. They showed me where the tires were worn and cracking, and explained why repairing tires in that state wasn't a good idea. They also presented me with a number of options, including moving tires around so I only had to buy two new ones, as well as the pricing on several tire brands. They waited patiently while I called my dad (a mechanic) and discussed options with him. Pete even said I could put my dad on the phone with him if he felt I what they were doing wasn't standard. In the end, I left with four new Continentals and a rebate form after only about 45 min. I had 100% confidence in my decision and felt great about the way I was treated. The price they charged me was also right in line with what I found online for the same tires. Thanks, guys. I hope I won't be seeing you again in the near future :) but I definitely know just where to head if I encounter any tire-related issues. read more

I've only been there once so far, but it was great. I had a simple slow leak in one tire. The tech found the issue within minutes. He gave some advice on some other issues I should fix/upgrade on the car, though, no pressure to upsell me anything. Quick, efficient, good service. Excellent service. They didn't have my tires in their massive warehouse but they got them in an hour. And did I mention, their warehouse is massive, so chances are, they'll have your tires. Their service center is right off 495 and easy to get to. Everyone there is knowledgeable and friendly. They explained how to get a $60 rebate, even topped off my windshield fluid for free. Plus, they are very prompt at getting back to you via email. We basically worked out the tires I wanted and the price for 4 including mounting and balancing all within two emails and a matter of an hour. The waiting area could be a little more comfortable which is why four stars and not five. I highly recommend this service center for your tires. They also offer full service on your car, but I can't comment on that.I would assume it's very good if it's anything like their tire service. Great place. read more
