When he saw me trying to solve the coffee dilemma, Starbucks vs Dunkin' Donuts he suggested Dunkin'. He explained that for a couple years he was a Starbucks manger but he thought the Dunkin' Donuts coffee was better. I gently accused him of being a turncoat but took his suggestion. He owns the place, you hope he'd know what's best inside it! I walking out and noticed the attached Post Office. As a dude from the suburbs this sends the cutesy-tootsy meter into the red zone. Then I hear the cashier say, "Hey Irv, got your medicine in yesterday. Hang on, let me get that for ya." That's why guys like me love businesses like this!!

We ordered a margherita pizza and a few beers. We generally stick to more basic pizzas to establish the baseline of trying others later. This pizza was really good but not on the excellent side of the scale. It's a safe, really good option. I noticed alot of "designer" pizzas that were unique to Pinky's and some sounded really good. This was our third summer in a row in the Daniel/Merna/Pinedale area but our first time giving GRB a try due to a few people saying the slaw dawg was good. The first night we arrived in Daniel I went in and a lady served me at the bar and she was attentive and somewhat friendly. A couple nights later I went back with my wife. Nan (the owner) was running the bar and cooking. Nan is hands down the sweetest lady we've met is Sublette County, and that's saying a lot as most everyone you meet in the Sublette County is super friendly. Nan will guide you through the menu, tell you about the area, and give you recommendations on things to do. She runs the place with a smile, even with the bar/restaurant being busy (and it does get busy). When we go back this winter, or next summer, we will definitely go to GRB a few times. My boys loved the Shirley temples and Roy rogers with a heaping handful of cherries! Please know that the building is over 100 years old and it looks old. But it's not dirty, I saw it being cleaned and mopped while we were there. Also keep in mind that it's a bar frequented by locals who support local business establishments and life long friends.
