Cute homey restaurant in the neighborhood w good food, beautiful space , nice bar and parking! We tried few of their appetizers which were tasty and their bread was also unique and delicious. Oak & Orchard Tap & Table is a casual neighborhood restaurant & bar located in Bolton, just east of the Clinton TL. Formerly Baba & the Legacy Kitchen/Fotini's, this place was redone nicely with a full service bar with soft chair seating and table seating with booth backs & soft chairs along the front windows and right side & back walls. There are several flatscreen TVs mounted on the walls and behind the bar. There is also a nice outside patio in front of the building with table seating and soft firm pillows on the seats. The food offerings include a selection of appetizers, soups, chili, salads, burgers, handhelds, pasta dishes, bar pizza (10"), steaks, seafood, chicken dishes, desserts, and a childrens' menu. The pricing here is moderate. The bar offers 10 draft beers, beer bottles/cans, wine list, sangria, spirits, and cocktails. I stopped by Oak & Orchard for a late lunch over the weekend. Since it was a sunny clear day outside, the outside patio was open with partial shade covering and moderately busy. I requested to be seated out on the patio and and I was able to relax out in the sun and given lunch & drink menus. The server arrived promptly after being seated. I got an ice water and ordered the Chips & Dip ($8 plus tax), Chili ($10 plus tax), and Mac & Cheese ($12 plus tax). The Chips & Dip came out first, which had homemade hot crispy seasoned salted potato chips with a dense creamy French onion dip & chives. Next, the crock of Chili with tri-color tortilla chips and the Mac & Cheese arrived. The chili served very hot had a soupy consistency with seasoned beef, cumin, beans, tomato, melted cheese, sour cream, red onions. The tortilla chips were a nice & crispy. The mac & cheese was creamy and saucy mixed with al dente cavatappi pasta, topped with parsley. I requested a box for some of the mac & cheese, so I could get dessert. For dessert, the Orchard Crisp ($8 plus tax) was served hot, which had apples & pears, cinnamon oats, vanilla ice cream and caramel drizzle, topped with fresh apple slices. After I was done, the check was presented which was $40.66 with tax and before tip. Overall, the food tasted pretty good for the most part. The potato chips were on the saltier side and the chili and mac & cheese had soupy consistencies, though I prefer thick chili and denser sauce pasta dishes. The Orchard Crisp was excellent. The service was adequate as my food was served in good time. I would come back here for dinner. read more

Cute concept and great atmosphere, but the food really missed the mark. The décor and layout felt homey and comfortable, and I genuinely wanted to love this place. Unfortunately, that's where the excitement ended for us. We started with the pretzels and "assorted gourmet mustards." The pretzels tasted like they came from a distributor and were simply warmed up, and the mustards were clearly just three bottled varieties. It doesn't take much to elevate that dish, but the opportunity was missed. Next was the hummus platter--which arrived with no hummus. Instead, it was pre-cut carrots, boxed crackers, a few grapes, sliced cherry tomatoes, and premade tzatziki. When we asked, the server let us know they had forgotten to make hummus for the day. It's confusing to sell a dish without its main component and present it like something my daughter could pack for lunch. For our mains, we had the steak frites with chimichurri and the French onion soup. The steak itself was the only thing we genuinely enjoyed. The "chimichurri," however, was chopped yellow peppers with no fresh herbs at all--definitely not chimichurri. My French onion soup was 99% onions and maybe 1% broth, topped with stale, chewy bread and semi-cold cheese. I don't want to be hard on a new restaurant, because I really do hope they succeed. There's clear potential here, but there were a lot of avoidable misses that made the experience disappointing. (And I won't even hold it against them that our server was mining for gold at the POS--honestly the biggest dig I've ever seen, lol.) I hope they take this feedback to heart, because with more attention to the food and menu execution, this could be a great spot. read more

We visited the Oak & Orchard for a family dinner. We had reservations and were escorted to our table right on time. The restaurant was clean and nicely appointed. The hostess was very welcoming and kind. The menu has many options of both food and drink for adults and kids. Unfortunately, our waiter didn't take drinks orders until 20 minutes later, and food took over a hour. Our meals were very average. Our waiter was overall not attentive. read more

The restaurant is beautiful!! Our server was wonderful, took good care of us with helpful information and humor. We got to have a quick chat with one of the owners and she was lovely. The food was yummy- I had the lobster ravioli and my daughter had a flatbread which she enjoyed. We both enjoyed cocktails as well as cheesecake for dessert (my birthday)! Enjoyed dinner with my family at Oak & Orchard, as I had been curious to give it a try. I got the smashburger, and although it tasted good, it was very greasy - the bun was saturated and soggy with grease, so it was difficult to eat. The fries were great, and the Raspberry Lemon martini was amazing! Service was good too. However, unless you are sitting in the bar area, bring a pair of sunglasses - the lighting is ridiculously bright, which forces me to give it one star for ambiance. They need to get some dimmers installed! read more

Went on a Sunday night. Service was epically slow, never came back to offer second drink. Food took well over 30 mins and once served, some was cold, risotto had zero taste. Told the waiter meal was cold. Took another 15 to deliver new meal, which we refused since everyone else was done eating. No apology, no checking in on our other meals, no visit from any management. AND still had to wait to request our bill! Will not be going back read more

well this spot has been serveral restaurants over the years, and it is a lovely spot now after a recent redo...spacious inside with a lovely bar and wonderful seating....too chilly to try but it has a wonderful looking outside patio...service was pleasant but busy, we had the pretzel app very good and the pastrami and cheese steak sandwiches, both were ok...new so probably still learning, very lovely spot to get a bite to eat!! read more

Started out great! Welcoming host staff and server but quickly went down hill. After serving us our drinks and ordering our food it took forever for the food to come out. I would understand if the place was busy but it clearly was not! One dinner came out (after asking our server) followed by the other 3 a few minutes later. Only to send back the first dinner (which was an appetizer) because it was cold. The waiter never came back to the table to check on us, ask if we wanted another drink etc. Finally when everyone else was finished with their meal the returned appetizer came out which was turned down at that point. Again the server never came over to see if the problem could be fixed. We then had to find the waiter to get our bill. The food that was eaten was disappointing all around! Will not be back which is disappointing because we love the location! read more

I really wanted to love this place -- and honestly, with just a few small changes, it could be great. The biggest issue was the ambiance: music was cranked up so loud our server misheard our order, and even after moving to a table farther from the speaker, it was still uncomfortably loud. The salad had nice flavor but was drenched in dressing, the fries were excellent, and the French onion soup was just okay. What struck me most, though, was the atmosphere -- everyone seemed busy, but hardly anyone had food, and the staff all looked tense and unhappy. I'm rooting for them, though -- with a few tweaks to the volume, vibe, and service flow, this place could really shine. read more

I agree, the food was a huge disappointment. The patio, inner decor was very impressive, great wall paper, great lighting, super-comfy upholstered chairs at some tables. And the menu reads wonderfully, with "French custard", "whipped ricotta" etc. But the food sucked, I had the Monte-Cristo, and it was a doughy super-market croissant, with a couple slices of ham cold cut, with no discernable cheese flavor, squished flat on the grill, a greasy mess. This place needs a new cook who can live up to the menu. read more

The Oak and Orchard service and staff were topnotch. Ambiance is warm and inviting, and the food was flavorful and delicious. We walked in at the end of Sunday brunch, the owner took the time to speak with us and even offered us the branch. Nice experience - comfortable seating in the bar area. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was good - I had steak tips - cooked perfectly. My only complaint was the mashed potato's were cold as were the green beans. Husband had chicken parm and he was happy with it. I think a couple more entree type salads and a couple more sandwich options would be valuable to the menu. One thing of note to the owners - the front parking lot/entrance area is very dark. Very dark. Please put some lighting outside so someone does not take a fall. Otherwise we really it - we'll definitely be back! read more

The restaurant is lovely and has a great ambiance. Unfortunately the food so far doesn't rise to expectations. I had the shrimp poboy which was incredibly bread forward. Even if the roll had been half the size, it would still have needed double the filling to feel balanced. My mom had the burger which was ok, but definitely cooked past the requested medium. this place is so good I have nothing else to say but about how amazing this is I have no mean words for this restaurant. I don't know how anyone possibly could.
