After our hike nearby Fitchburg, we were starving! Makarios came up and a chicken shawarma and falafel sandwich sounded good! My hubby didn't feel like having a pita sandwich so it worked out that they offered other things. He ordered chicken wings and curly fries plus a salad. To top it off, we shared a pizza cause why not!? The falafel and the white sauce were very tasty-and the pita was very fresh. The chicken shawarma tasted less traditional than I expected-almost like bbq sauce. The pizza was a bit disappointing. It was too underdone and the mushrooms were not fresh. The pics looked different - the pizzas looked more well done and the cheese was bubbly. My hubby enjoyed his wings and fries. The salad was OK, not much to it. Oh, we also ordered the jalapeño poppers but they were with cheddar cheese vs what I was expecting- cream cheese. All in all, this place was OK. It's right next door to FSU so they probably have a variety of options on their menu to appeal to the crowd. I could def see how this place would hit the spot after a late night out! read more

This is the best chicken shawarma I have ever gotten in the United States. The first time I had it I nearly cried because it tasted exactly like this chicken shawarma I had at this little halal place in Israel--it was a great day and great memory, and this transported me back there the way only food can. So I had seen this place advertised around town but never gave it much though as we don't eat Mediterranean food and it's just pizza, right? Well we decided to try it as our other favorite pizza place closed and this place blows everywhere in town out of the water including espressos for taste and ingredients The xl pizza is 18 inches and just insane. Also they use a unique cheese combo that is super stringy and buttery tasting and the sauce is fresh and sweet tasting but not overpowered with like garlic. All the toppings are fresh too. I've tried a few subs also and each one has been fantastic and I appreciate not coming home and having all the toppings like leaked out of the subs. Now knowing how awesome the American food tastes, I'm excited to try their Mediterranean dishes. We will definitely be a repeat customer in the future here! Just tried this place for the first time. Was a little worried because it's near a college so I thought the food might be geared more towards late night appetites, but I couldn't be more wrong! Got the chicken shawarma and falafel rice plate with the white sauce and also asked for a side of home made hummus and homemade hot sauce so I could try them all. They originally forgot to put the sauces in my to go bag, but when I went back for them the owner was very apologetic and gave me a dessert for free. It was all absolutely delicious! My favorite was the homemade falafel, because I really love falafel, but the chicken was great too. The hot sauce was exactly that - HOT - as the very nice owner warned me when he handed it over. Plenty of food that filled me up. I haven't tried the Kataifi yet because I am too full, but it looks yummy! read more

So one of my son's was celebrating his 24th birthday and said all he wanted was to have gyros for supper. The place closest to our house was not open, so I googled and found this place. We met up with our other son and his girlfriend who are both Umass Lowell graduates. We started talking with the owner and found out that he was the original owner of the Egyptian Grill truck up in Lowell. My older son and Marakio recognize each other right away and became a little bit of a reunion of sorts!! Anybody who knows that food truck in Lowell knows that this food is ahhMazing!!! Bbq chicken pizza was pretty rough. Chicken was dark and slimy and tasted like nothing. Best part was the ranch on the side. Curly fries were decent but not at all spicy. A cheese pizza might be better. Small business kinda place nothing fancy. read more
