The server was good. I liked the strawberry and pecan salad as well as the corn cob and Brussels sprouts. That's all the good. Every steak was cooked wrong. All five. We only sent one back and the treatment we got for doing that was not pleasant. The manager needs training. She stood over my wife when she brought the steak back and TOLD her to cut it again. She also made a comment like "oh, you want it very well done." Is that a thing? Well done means no pink....period. It want cooked that way. After my wife cut her steak, she said it was good and the manager just turned and walked away. Rude. We won't go back. It's funny how they have a sign that says, "steak done right." It was very cold for lunch today. Huge Icicles hanging dangerously from the restaurant roof near the front entrance. It was not warm inside either. We had to eat with our coats and hats on. Way too cold inside Longhorns and staff unable to control the temperature inside. Uncomfortably so. No issue with the service. Ambiance is the same olde same ole. Food was ok, No gluten free bread available. Longhorns stuck in the past. No specials , no new decorations, same entrees and same desserts. Soups often too salty. Let me start by saying I made a Yelp account specifically to write this review. I've always been one to have low expectations for eating establishments and have a lot of sympathy for service workers as someone who has worked many customer service jobs. But let's start with the motto: "Steak done right" *loud buzzer sound*. More like "Steak done left" because most of my family got steak and not a single one was cooked the way we asked. It wasn't even mixed up plates, we each got a different cut and each was wrong. Some of my family also got the wrong drinks but that was a quick switch. The waiter was nice. I don't blame anything on him. But the manager on the other hand could use a class on charm to say the least. When my mom asked for her steak to be cooked more, the waiter took it and the manager came back with my mom's steak. She put it on the table and in a very stern voice like my mother was 5 said "Who asked for the VERY well done steak" (my mom just asked for it well done after she got it back medium) so my mom replies that it looks great and the manager goes "No. I want you to cut it somewhere new. Do it." So my mom does it and once again says it looks great and then the manager whips her head around and walks off. I don't know what kind of bad day that lady was having, but my sweet mother did not deserve the tone Mrs. Manager was giving off. I was really offended for my mother but she wanted to let it go. My mom isn't the first person in the world to ask for steak to be cooked more (and definitely not the last at this place), so cool down, oddball. My brother asked for medium well and got overly well done and I got medium well (how I asked for it) but it was white inside and my fries drowned in steak juice to the point I couldn't even eat my darn fries. I've gone to this Longhorn multiple times with family and not once has the food come out right and the service has always been forgetful of us (which I would usually let go but this was the straw that broke the camels back... never talk to my mom that way when she didn't do anything wrong). When the manager incident happened the waiter came back and wouldn't look us in the eyes. We were still very nice to him because it isn't his fault his manager is a jerk. Gosh, where to begin? We showed up with a big group of 8 (we called ahead to let them know we were on our way as they don't take reservations) and they welcomed us right in! We also had a pretty difficult group, we jokingly refer to ourselves as "The Allergy Trinity" but LongHorn in Leominster was SO VERY NICE to us, we had gluten, dairy, and soy allergies and they accommodated all three of us very smoothly and without judgment or annoyance. The food was excellently prepared and we had so much fun, LongHorn is grandpa's fave place so it was a blast to enjoy this dinner with him. I met a friend here last night and it made me question why I don't come here more often. From the moment I stepped inside I was greeted with a smile by the hurried hostess and grabbed a drink at the bar while waiting for my friend. I was immediately greeted upon sitting and the bar was wiped down. I wanted a nicer wine and asked if I could compare a couple before deciding; the bartender id'd me and obliged (despite being in my mid 30s this diligence is appreciated and important). Furthermore, she kindly denoted the wines by writing the names on their prospective coasters and that personal touch is what made me not want to leave the bar. When my friend showed, we got a booth and our server was also fantastic! Once we put our drink orders in, she preemptively asked if we'd like waters, w/ lemon or not (simple but important detail) and proactively and attentively kept our waters topped! (personal peeve but when food and alcohol is involved I don't like having to ask for water ). We got the Wild West shrimp app which was excellent quality, a very generous portion & the banana peppers tossed throughout was the perfect addition! My t-bone steak was cooked near perfect, plus, I had leftovers for another day and am still thinking of those crispy Brussel sprouts, omg do not miss out! Ambiance was quiet initially around 730p but picked up by 830/9 - I was impressed for a Monday. Of the chain restaurants, Longhorn's has always stood apart to me for their consistency and last night, was no different in that department. However, in a world where customer service feels like a lost art, I LOVE to see it; and what makes me want to return more than anything else is the ladies that were so patient, kind and made me feel as warm as the wine did :). The server came over, took our drink order and gave us our menus. Food came promptly and was exactly as ordered. I have no complaints! This was our first time at a Longhorn Steakhouse. The menu was pricey but we found some food options that fit our budget. I got the chop steak (basically a huge hamburger with mushrooms, onions and gravy) and my husband got the burger. Honestly, I was shocked by how much food I got for under $14.00. Our bill was less than $31 for the two of us! They didn't charge for seltzer water. Honestly I can't remember the last time we had a meal out together for under $40. Our server was pleasant and we enjoyed the hokey decor. There were actually some very beautiful paintings on the walls. read more

We just love the food here. My Beau and I go here for an early dinner at least once a month. We order the bone-in ribeye cooked medium (warm, pink center here) and mix it up with soups, apps and salads each time. The french-onion soup is a go to as well as the house salad with Italian. My only issue is that I like horseradish sauce with my beef and only one waitress out of all our visits actually found out how and made it made it for me. Most times I have to make-shift a version at the table myself and it usually comes after we are half way through eating. Other than that, we love it. read more

My Girlfriend and I went out for dinner recently at longhorn. Ordered a couple Medium steaks and both came out rare. We asked to have the steaks sent back. One came back medium, the other came back rare once again. Never had this experience with Longhorn before. Asked to speak to the on-shift manager. She communicated that this was unacceptable. Steak still came out medium rare the third time, but my girlfriend was getting irritated with my complaints. I kept my mouth shut thinking I'd get some type of discount, minimum 5%? Maybe more for the inconvenience. Bill came, no refund, no apology, nothing. I kept quiet as I promised my GF, but it hurt not speaking up for what's right. I went there last Saturday for lunch me and my two daughters it was pretty busy for lunch time. Our waiter was very nice and polite and did an excellent job, clearing the dishes and bringing stuff out and refilling our drinks. I had the 12 ounce ribeye with mashed potatoes my two daughters each had steak tips with baked potatoes and my wife had a bacon cheeseburger with a loaded potato. Everything came out hot and quick for how busy they were. We had strawberry shortcake and chocolate cake with hot fudge, and ice cream it was yummy. we definitely recommend going in here and will be back soon read more

Many times at this Longhorn. Not only is this exactly you imagine it is, there are zero rough edges - staff is very on top of everything. Ambience great. Pick-up process is amazingly efficient - a staff member brings it all to our car because you told them when and what your car looks like. Also! Came in tonight to the bar at 9. Took about 3 minutes to be greeted with 1 other person at the bar and maybe 3 tables in the whole place. Karissa did tell us she would be right over at about 2 min...we asked what appeared to be a manager for menus and she seemed quite annoyed with the request. While karissa was kind and bubbly, the service was poor, at best. Staff mopping the floor in front of us as we ate dinner, not a great look. When she shut some of the lights off over us before we were out of our seats, that was a nice touch. She was very distracted the entire time and overwhelmed by her 3 patrons. But seriously, if you're good with those things, GO because everything I've ever ordered in my over 15 years of frequenting this place has been so incredibly delicious! IMO the best starter is the Wild West shrimp and you can't leave without getting some of that over the top chocolate stampede! Don't try to make that at home, I have and it is a multi day project.
