Many of these 5 star reviews I say are questionable. I'd definitely say it's 5 star commercial grade good, but that's it. I actually decided to try Marcos because of the reviews of taste and amount of toppings. My pizza wasn't even close to the pics and the pizza was tasteless. We came here as our regular spot was closed and we still wanted to get a pizza. This is now our 2nd favorite spot for pizza. We ordered the Meat Lovers pizza to go. Got home and it was still hot and fresh. The pizza was really good. The ham was slides nicely and the sausage was to die for. We will definitely be back again as this place is legit. I've ordered from here a few times now and have probably tried 5 different pizzas already. So far, they've all been really good. The crust has a nice texture, the toppings are fresh, and nothing tastes cheap or thrown together. I've heard a lot about Marco's Pizza, and couldn't wait to try it. I prefer ordering online, since it's easier and faster. The store does offer a variety of coupons. I also like that they give you 1 free sauce with your pizza. The store has a large parking lot. The inside of the store is pretty small. There's not much space to stand. So, it does get cramped and crowded when more people wait for their pizza. The workers are friendly and greet you, once you come in. It's also nice that the worker will open your pizza and have you check to make sure your order is accurate. My to go order is the hot honey magnifico. It's nice that the pizza is always hot when I grab it. I enjoy the thick crust of the pizza. Every bite of the pizza is an explosion of flavors! Also, the ingredients are fresh. I definitely taste the high quality ingredients, used in the pizza. Don't forget to sign up for their rewards progra. I'm definitely picking Marco's Pizza over any other pizza chain. Compared to all the others like dominos, papa John's, etc. this place is at the top, definitely not as good compared to sit down restaurants that specializes in pizzas. Ordered the pepperoni and sausage pizza and the meat is super good! Can really taste the quality in the pepperoni and sausage. The crust is also really flavorful. I thought the dough and undercarriage was a little too soft and floppy, I wish it was more crisp (Once I threw it in the air fryer it was amazing). The cheese and sauce is also very subtle, you don't really taste it (This could be a good or bad depending on your preferences), the meat really takes over, but the meat is really good. Hands down one of my favorite pizza spots in Orange County I almost don't want to write this because it feels like a hidden gem but this place truly deserves the hype. The ingredients are fresh daily and you can taste the difference right away. The crust is soft fluffy and full of flavor with the perfect chew. The cheese deserves its own moment because they are extremely generous. Stretchy gooey and melty in the best way. The pepperoni pizza is my absolute favorite and a must order. The crispy cup pepperonis are unreal oozing with deep savory flavor and little pools of spicy oil that melt into the cheese. Every bite is rich bold and addictive. I could not stop eating. I also tried a deluxe slice and it was loaded hearty and super satisfying. Everything tastes balanced comforting and high quality. Do not skip the dessert. It is warm gooey and comes with icing you drizzle on yourself which makes it even better. Sweet sticky and the perfect ending. Glad to be back on Yelp! This time I decided to try out Marcos Pizza down in Santa Ana. Located in a pretty spacious strip mall parking was relatively easy to find. I walk in and it's a pretty small pizza joint. Basically some seating area with no tables and an order taker at the counter. I ordered ahead online and for pick up and the pizzas were ready once I got there. The guy at the front was cool and the girls making the pies in the back looked like they were working hard so props to the staff! Once I arrived home and opened both boxes, all I thought was wow! The pepperonis looked very crispy. They definitely did not skimp out on the ingredients either. Now how did it taste? I'm happy to report this pizza place is legit! The toppings on mine included pepperoni, old world pepperoni, old world sausage and Italian sausage. Each bite consisted of either but I was an immense fan of the pepperoni because of how crunchy they were! The dough was delicious and the sauce was sweet where it wasn't too overwhelming! And I'm more of a fan of white sauce if anything. There's really nothing I could complain about. They have plenty of coupons online and make sure you take advantage of those because we only paid around $35 for both pies not including tip. My medium included eight slices which was plenty for me and a friend of food for me and a friend! I'm hoping to see more Marcos pizza places open around the OC. Place is really a hidden gem! They have a good menu not only pizza but subs, salads , bowls and side stuff like the breadsticks that I got. I wish they had slices but of course you have to order a whole pizza which I will next time. The service was good and pretty quick. The staff was friendly and the gal w/ glasses who helped me was great and helpful. There is no indoor or outdoor dining or pickup and takeout. Very small inside just a bench you sit on while waiting for your order it's like Dominos and Little Caesars where you just go in to pick up or place an order and take it to go. There is a bench for customers to be able to sit at while they wait for their food and a restroom to the left. Everything else behind the counter is where the pizza magic happens. Going in, you notice everything just feels bright, clean, and you can really get to see how the pizzas and food are being prepped. The owner JD is usually in the front greeting customers and he is super friendly and personable, which makes the pizza experience that much better. THE FOOD: I've never had Marco's Pizza before until last week and now I'm a fan. Their dough is made fresh daily and I can honestly tell the difference. What we got: -Pepperoni Magnifico Pizza (they are really generous with their pepperoni - every bite is full of the classic and cupped pepperoni) -Bone In Buffalo Wings (I mean, who doesn't love bone in buffalo wings?) -Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizzoli (this one was my favorite after the pizza. Super creamy, carbs, cheesey, and with the ranch? *chef's kiss* -Cinnasquares (it almost has a donut consistency. You get to drizzle the icing on yourself so this was fun to eat.) There are lots of options on the menu, so it seems like there can be something for everyone. Was super excited to hear the Marcos pizza had opened a location near my home . Finally I was able to try it and omg it did not disappoint. Was very delicious and one of my favorite things was that it was fresh and super hot . I love love love my food to be hot . Another thing o enjoyed was the customer service , most of the staff looks very young but every time I've gone in there they welcome you and communicate that they will be with you shortly if they are super busy .
