when my friends and i decided on a craving for some italian, we had planned a little dinner date here tonight. we hadn't known at all what to expect, but it was the perfect girl's night simple dinner. when you enter, you go up to the counter to place your order at the register. then they give you a metal number to place on your table for the waiter to bring your dishes to you. none of us waited more than 10 minutes for our food to be ready, and they made sure to bring our appetizers first as well. the calamari was so nicely cooked (the server told us they bread it themselves in house) and the mozzarella sticks had some incredible cheese pulls. you could tell the bread was going to be delicious as well just based on the color and seasoning, and they did not disappoint. i had ordered the clam sauce with linguine, creamy style; this meant they added some alfredo sauce to the sauce to make it a little thicker in consistency. when i got my dish, the sauce was still fairly thin but i think the alfredo helped a lot for what i was wanting in flavor. the clams were exquisite and, if i hadn't stuffed myself so much on the carb appetizers, i would have polished it off right there. my friends said their dishes were also incredible. the only thing was the pizza; my friend didn't seem to detect any tomato sauce on her dough, only olive oil. she ended up using our dipping sauces to add, but she said it was still delicious. despite being so incredibly full, we still made room for dessert because how could we leave without trying the gelato? the strawberry cheesecake was exactly the perfect sweetness for me to balance out what i had just eaten, though the other flavors were just as good too. overall, it was an incredible dining experience. the staff was all very friendly, happy to provide recommendations or explain what deals came with adding on anything to your order. they were very attentive in checking in with us. the ambiance of the place is also so pretty and so quaint. i definitely intend to come back for another meal! read more

We picked up some food for Mother's Day from this place. They offer family style meal including salad, pasta and pizza. We called to place an order and it's ready within 30 mins. Everything was nicely packed and the staff helped us to load the food in the car. Everything was so tasty and portion was huge. Recommend this place in orange! read more

I came back for lunch w a coworker and had a great time! So excited for all of us beer and wine lovers.. they finally got their liquor license (happy face) lol I added a picture of their wine list and their beer selection. they do offer a corkage fee in case you want to bring your own bottle of wine. It's so lively here with Italian music playing in the background. And lunchtime was pretty busy. Everyone was attentive and friendly with us. I had their fettuccine Alfredo again but this time with a meatball along with a glass of their Broadside cab. We tried their slice of pizza that's sold for their lunch special. It was so good we decided to order an all meat medium to give it a try with other toppings. Crust and dough is so delicious .. I loved it.. all prices are very reasonable. The pasta with the Alfredo sauce was very good, the chicken parmigiana, at first I thought the sauce was too sweet for me but as I ate it more it was pretty good. I wasn't a big fan of the meatballs, not sure what kind of meat it was pork or veal but it wasn't beef and it wasn't my thing. Overall still good food. read more

I have visited Fratellino's several times in the past month. It is a cozy family-run Italian restaurant in a large strip mall. The interior is fairly spacious and comfortable, so the diners aren't crammed too close to each other. You order at the register and you are served at the table of your choosing. The menu is full of classic Italian dishes. I have had the chicken Parmesan and ziti with meat sauce. Both were very good, partly due to the great marinara sauce and a great garlic bread. For and extra $4 you can add a nice side salad and ice cream for dessert, which is a great value when compared to many comparable restaurants. And to top it off, the staff were friendly and efficient. Fratellino's is definitely a place to try for fast casual Italian food in central Orange County. read more

Didn't like the pizza at all. It took 30 minutes to make a pizza with dark meat. Use chicken breast on the pizza not dark meat. We live very close by , but won't come back. Thick crust pizza with low quality ingredients. You use chicken thighs and not chicken breast. read more

We stopped by for a late lunch and I loved that they had diverse options on their menu (rather than just pizza and pasta). I loved that I could choose the sauce and stuffing for my ravioli, and it was light and delicious. They also gave a generous amount of garlic bread slices with the spaghetti. Ok we just had them for lunch. First time. Saw their advert. A little Commercial on social media. And thought let's try it out! Besides being 12 minutes late on the order. When we got to the restaurant it had a nice appearance. What I thought would be full due to the parking lot. Turned out to be two tables. Sooo why was my food late? Ah yes the speed of molasses. When I asked about my order. They had just begun. No urgency. No moving quickly. Just kinda yea let's just move around slowly and get this over here and that over there. Yea. Now onto the food. We Yelpers will always judge, presentation, flavors, and value for what you get. Looking at the food as you will see from the pics, looks good. (Except for the packaged croutons, seriously if you can't cut up leftover bread and make your own you don't deserve to make Ceaser's salad.) Then came the test, flavors. Veggie lasagna just ok. No big bang wow. The wife said a little salty. The minestrone soup out of a can. Looked good. But flavor was dead. Garlic bread was the same. No pizazz. Where's the greasy dripping butter spread and heavy garlic flavor? The pizza looked good. But again the flavor was bland. The dough had no wow factor and the food literally tasted like it came out of the back, premade and heated up. The Ceaser's salad was fresh, very little Parmesan cheese (packaged) croutons (worse package with all kinds of preservatives) the dressing was fine and the chicken was a warmed up sliced something. At 54.00 I would not waste my monies again. Sorry for hay I was going for a great new Italian spot turned into a premade back room heated up frozen venue. Not for me. Only people who don't know Italian food can give this spot 5 stars. Two stars for their presentation. And not one more. Nonna is rolling over in her grave for eating here. Smh. read more

Any restaurant would easily charge $5 for this salad a mini-antipasto pepperoni provolone olive tomato peperoncini Parmesan tasty dressing and croutons. The picatta was a classic preparation chicken cutlet pounded evenly dredged in flour and sauté to perfection shallots white wine and capers great. The only reason it didn't get five stars needed a bit more seasoning garlic lemon S&P. A generous portion of angel hair also perfect. A restaurant quality preparation with true value. read more

I have been here a couple of times now and with the loss of Conca D' Oro and Genovese restaurants in my area this quick serve location of Fratellino's Italian Kitchen has surpassed my expectations! The minestrone soup is probably some of the best that I have enjoyed and what a deal with the lunch specials!! I will be returning this week to try some of their soup with a chicken meatball, I heard amazing! Will be trying most of their menu over time, I'm sold. read more

This is the newest addition to a string of Italian restaurants across Southern California owned by the same family. I started going to Lomelli's in Gardena 30 years ago. They all are amazing values in Italian cuisine. I am pleased to find the newest addition which is the closest one to my house is no exception. I have had the lunch special three times. New Italian restaurant in our neighborhood. I liked the design of things. No servers. You just walk up and order. So that's different. We ordered a pizza, chicken piccata and a small salad. It was a lot of food. Big portions. The Chicken Piccata was very tasty, especially if you love capers. Even the small salad was very good and had that Italian feel to it. Like a mini antipasto. The pizza was their basic Marguerita pizza. It was just ok. Maybe not quite cooked enough for us. Not sure. We will just have to try something different to see how it turns out. But it definitely looked like the pictures. One funny thing we noticed is the ice comes crushed, not block. A small detail but we liked the difference. The inside of the store is very comfortable with lots of room. So very nice setting. We will be back to keep testing things out. read more

This was our first time here. The staff were super helpful and sweet. We went here for dinner on a Saturday night. It's like a restaurant with no waiters. You order everything at the front and they give you a number. We ordered two dinner combos. One chicken parm with a salad and you get an ice cream (not gelato) and one baked pasta Christian with shells with minestrone. The minestrone soup was yummy. The baked pasta Christian was delicious. I would definitely get it again. Could easily feed two people. Took half of it home. The cappuccino ice cream was really good too. Overall a great first experience. Amazing restaurant that my girlfriend and I decided to try when we went to try a different place nearby. We had the beef ravioli with marinara which was simple yet perfect, creamy pesto penne with chicken, mozzarella sticks, gelato, and the poggio chianti wine. Everything was great and the service was even better. Everybody was incredibly helpful and kind. It's a smaller place with a more laid back atmosphere compared to other Italian restaurants which I enjoyed. I will definitely be coming back and recommending this place to others. Definitely wanted to like this place since it is so close to our home but it wasn't that good at all. Got the chicken parm and meatball sandwich. Both were bland and just boring. I was looking around at other peoples dishes and they didn't look to appealing. They didn't have music playing and then they played music but it was like crazy loud. Even the staff kept telling the other staff members that it was still too loud. Then it started to play a commercial for like 3-4 mins. It was really strange and I just kept looking around wondering if anyone was going to change the station lol. I wouldn't go back or recommend this place. This was my second visit, and just like the first time, it was excellent. On my first visit, we ordered pasta, pizza, and wings--the kids loved everything. I was reminded about the restaurant after seeing their coupon at the Stater Brothers grocery store across the street, so I decided to stop by for lunch on my own this time. As before, the service was fast and welcoming, the restaurant was clean with a delicious aroma, and there was plenty of parking. What a hidden gem! I feel like finding Italian food is so hard to come by and this delivered! Staff were friendly, service was quick, and the ambiance was fantastic! Great service and delicious food. TVs showing the Thursday night football game. Bread was very good, light and garlic buttery. Order chicken parm and my husband liked the cutlet size and taste.
