NY style pizza spot that sells by the slice as well as full pies. They have classic combos available as well as some more creative slices. At night, it's kinda hard to see from the main street. And it gets overshadowed by some of the bars nearby. But it's not too hard to find. The guys here are friendly and the vibe of this place kinda has a punk rock feel to it. The space is not large, but they have a few seating/standing area areas to enjoy your pizza or you can take the pizza to go. A buddy of mine told me about this place and said it was his favorite New York style pizza spot in Orange County (and he lived in NY for a large part of his life). I have to agree. This is really good pizza. I got a slice of the pastrami and pickle. As well as a slice of the pepperoni and jalapeño. Both were crisp and had good structure. Really good flavor combinations. Definitely hope to come back soon
Yup back for more with former coworkers. Still a great pizza with great choices for topping. Got 1/2 white sauce & 1/2 Hawaiian and both are simple delish. Staff are alway friendly and chill. Great prices for the whole pie or you can individually or they have special Combe beer & a slice for $7 but at certain hrs of the days for the whole week (or they open). Still a YUMMY place to go for a great tasty pizza.
Friend spotted this place thanks to its high ratings, so we decided to check it out. It's a casual hole-in-the-wall spot dishing out NY-style pizza. As first-timers, we ordered the cashier's recommendations: the White Ferrari and a Slime Loosie. The pizza has that super thin, crispy, foldable crust, but the flavor just didn't deliver. The ranch ended up doing most of the heavy lifting. We even bought the hot honey hoping to kick things up a notch, only to find out it was missing the spicy "hot" part. I do love that they call their single slices "Loosies," and at under $5 a slice, it's an affordable way to try different pies!
Sorry to say, anyone coming here expecting to have authentic New York Pizza is going to be disappointed. Last I went to New York and had quite a few slices and this is better than all of them. Certainly the look and consistency, but the crest is similar to New York pizza, but the flavor of the toppings, outstanding better than anything I tried in New York. "Hawaiian" style pizzas seemed to often be disappointing, but this one was an amazing flavor on me, crisp Canadian bacon, and the thin wide slices of pineapple for so much better than the chunks usually found on most "Hawaiian"pizzas. The White Ferrari pizza was wonderfully unique and full of flavor. There's a nice eclectic selection of beer. There's a very relaxed, casual vibe here and service is outstanding.
If you're looking for the closest thing to NY pizza- this place is it. I enjoyed the supreme and the Hawaiian, but my bf loved the classic cheese as he's been trying to find good pizza in OC since moving from the east coast. You're able to order by the slice or a full pie. Good large slices they offer. The bread is light yet they pack a flavorful bite. They offer seating both inside and outside. Their decor inside is great too with the Napoleon Tony Soprano painting! FYI, you won't be able to get your pizza fix when they are closed on Monday and Tuesday. Will be repeat customers, handsdown!
Excellent, five stars NY style pizza. Not greasy, flavorful, and great price. Service is friendly, Caesar salad was excellent. Cool little hole in the wall with a relaxed vibe. Pepperoni and white Ferrari slices were sooooo good. definitely worth going out of your way for if you're nearby Santa Ana. We were tired of Disneyland food and wanted to venture out. Glad we did.
Loosies Pizza is a hidden gem that can be found in the heart of downtown Santa Ana. When I say hidden, there is no visible signage identifying the restaurant so you'll want to lookout for the address or the A frame sign on the sidewalk out front. We showed up late on a Saturday night, and I was stoked to try a slice of their Pepperoni Loosie and their Slime Loosie. I was blown away by how thin and crispy their crust was, and both slices were greasy, delicious and left me wanting more. Depending on when you visit, there may be a wait. FYI - seating is limited as they only have a few tables inside and out front but if you like NY style pizza, then you need to check out what the hype is all about!
My wife and I were in Santa Ana for a show at The Observatory when we wanted to stop and grab a quick dinner before hand. Thanks to Yelp we found out about Loosies Pizza so we headed here right away! This small pizza shop is located in a pretty busy little area, offers some seating, and is primarily focused on slices which is not done enough these days. When you walk in the first thing you see is the slice selection so we kept it simple and ordered some slices. I settled on a slice of pepperoni pizza as well as a slice of the Hawaiian pizza. Once you pick out what you want, the staff throws the slices back in for a minute before handing it back to you to consume. First I ate the pepperoni slice and it was fine, tasted like a pretty standard slice and did the job. The Hawaiian slice was my favourite of the two having a good amount of pineapple and ham and had a good taste, was a fan. Overall, Loosies Pizza is a decent pizza shop and even though it didn't blow me away, it's a safe place to grab a slice of pizza before walking around Santa Ana.

Had a wonderful experience at Loosies Pizza in Santa Ana. I took advantage of their $8 two slice/1 soda lunch special and couldn't have been happier. I had a traditional slice of the cheese pizza and a slice of the White Ferrari which was a slight up charge for a slice with extra virgin olive oil, garlic, Parmesan, mozzarella, ricotta and parsley. The crust was cooked just well enough to be crunchy without having a burnt flavor. The service was fast and inefficient and I like the low key local flavor ambiance of the pizzeria as well as a seating area outside that is partially shaded by trees. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for pizza on the go for a slice or even for a full pizza which seemed reasonably priced.
Came here as my son was playing with finger boards across the way to sit and have bit to eat. Pretty limited menu that's where my one star came off but pizza was good thin crust and they sell by the slice too.

I'm so glad I got to try out this place before going to New York! This pizza had me looking for similar over there. I tried the Italian Sausage with Jalepeños and the combination was amazing. If you can handle spice, this one's for you. The slice was thin and had everything sliding off with a bite. So delicious! I definitely need to come back when I'm downtown. read more
My friend highly recommended this pizza place, so I had to give it a try! First of all, the thin crust was absolutely my personal favorite. I love a good thin crust, and the fresh ingredients really won me over. The price is also very reasonable. A large pizza is under $30, which I think is a great deal--honestly, I'd even say it's on the cheaper side these days. They don't have different pizza sizes. You can either order by the slice or get a whole pizza. One thing I really liked is that you can split a whole pizza in half and choose two different flavors. That's definitely a big plus, especially when you're ordering for a group. The pizza itself is surprisingly light and clean-tasting. Even though you're eating pizza, it doesn't feel heavy or greasy at all, and I didn't feel weighed down afterward. Now, one small downside: you have to pay for water, and even hot sauce or ranch costs extra. Since the pizza itself is reasonably priced, I'm not really complaining, but... if I have to pay extra for every little thing, I can't exactly say I'm thrilled about it. I did really enjoy their habanero hot sauce, though! It had a slightly unique flavor that I really liked. After eating with my friends, I seriously debated whether I should buy a whole pizza to take home for the kids. I loved how thin and light the pizza was, but for my personal taste, it was a little... ordinary. It wasn't quite a "WOW, I have to have this again!" kind of pizza for me. Convenient location right in downtown Santa Ana. Went to the Frida Cinema nearby and finished the night with some pizza. On the staff recommendation, ordered the White Ferrari and the Hawaiian. Staff were super friendly and knowledgable about the toppings. The dough and thin crust were IMMACULATE! Some of the best I've ever had even on the east coast. That crunchy crust paired with a nice chew. Rare to find out here. And yet...both pizzas were just super bland. The Ham and Pineapple on the pizza seemed to have little flavor. The Ham just slightly salty, the pineapple with a vague essence that didn't really scream out loud. Both pizzas barely had sauce. Couldn't make out any tomato flavor on the Hawaiian. The Ferrari apparently had a garlic sauce but couldn't discern ang garlicky flavor. Even the ricotta was like eating nothing. Very disappointing considering they nailed the hard part! My guess is just low quality/old ingredients? I'm willing to come back to try another slice flavor before giving up on them. read more

Heard about this place a little while ago and it was worth our little trek to DTSA! Perfectly made thin and crispy crust so delicious. Very simple from the Ferrari to cheese to Pepperoni all fantastic. Love that we found a great simple pizza spot read more
Closest to NY style pizza I've gotten in OC! This hidden gem is located in a fun corner in Downtown Santa Ana. They are open decently late so I love coming here after a few drinks and grabbing a yummy thin sliced pizza. Pricing is affordable and the slices are good size! This little hole in the wall place in downtown Santa Ana has the best thin crust pizza! Less than $5 per slice and less than $30 for a whole pizza. Hubby was craving pizza one day and I found Loosies on Yelp. The staff were very friendly. The place was chill, whether you're sitting inside at the high tops watching TV or outside on the patio tables people watching. He enjoyed it so much we came back another time that week and bought a whole pie the following weekend. Metered street parking was easy or the pay to park public lot nearby. read more
Found this hidden gem after searching for NY style pizzas near me! Once we walked in, my eyes were glued to the decor as it consisted of so many classic portraits and pieces of art! The cashier was very friendly as well and took our order with no problem. We ordered a whole pizza consisting of half margherita and half white ferrari. After waiting about 20 minutes, we got our pizzas and decided to sit inside since outdoor seating wasn't ideal especially in the heat. Thankfully, we got seating inside especially considering how small this pizza shop is! After trying the margherita pizza first, I was surprised at how thin and crunchy the pizza is! The flavor was phenomenal as well even though it is a simpler pizza than other combination pizzas. The white ferrari was also delicious but I personally liked the margherita pizza more. I finished eating very quickly and had to comment to myself how this is some of the best pizza that I have had so far. For the price of about $30 for a whole pizza seems pretty fair in my opinion considering it is an 18 inch pizza and high quality. I am planning to get the margherita again in a future visit as well as another type of pizza like supreme or pepperoni! read more

A New York-style pizza spot in the middle of Downtown Santa Ana? Yes, you heard that right! Loosies has been around for several years and they are serving up tasty slices of pizza. I came by recently for lunch and I got their lunch special which was 2 slices and a drink. Prices are pretty affordable I got their White Ferrari & Margherita slices. The White Ferrari was a great white slice with loads of cheese on top and a crispy and chewy crust. The Margherita was a classic slice and it had great flavor with a nice bit of pesto on top with great crust. There's plenty of seating available outside at the patio and some seating inside where you can enjoy your pizza. Service was friendly and quick and I had my food out in no time. The inside is colorful and nicely themed. They also have merch for sale. You can find parking on the street or at one of the structures nearby. read more
Loosies definitely brought back some nostalgic of the NYC pizza vibes once you walk in. The Christmas colored lights, the wall decor and all the wonderful smell of fresh pizza. Everyone that walked in seemed like they knew the hosts/servers. Service was quick and there was a wide variety of beverages to choose from, so we opted for the lemon lime seltzer. It feels so nostalgic coming here, when as a kid I would come here with my mom when it was a Pizza Loca and there was a carousel right outside. I love that Loosies is here carrying on those fourth street pizza shop memories for kiddos now. The inside is so cute, I love checking out the new art they put up from time to time (peep the Tony soprano original). Also the pizza is really good, and I'm not a huge fan of NY style thin crust pizza but I find myself craving loosies from time to time. Definitely try the hot honey and ranch! read more
Loosies pizza is bomb! I have been doing a lot of research on best pizza in OC, and this one kept popping up and decided to give it a try. If you want just a slice or two of NY style pizza this is the spot. I was really impressed by the pizza here. The crust was perfectly crisp and crunchy, the cheese had the right amount of oily goodness and the sauce had a nice tang. Overall, a near perfect slice of NY style pizza, highly recommend! There's not a whole lot of seating in the area, so probably more of a grab and go type of place. The service was quick and helpful! read more

Who eats pizza and then goes for a run? Me! Yum, yum, yum! I had some time to kill before run club and was actually looking for tacos on Yelp, but when zooming in on the map, I noticed Loosies. And the NY-style pizza looked amazing, so scrapped the taco idea and came for pizza instead! Indoor and outdoor seating (note: it was quite warm inside). Really enjoyed the flavor of the sauce. Just the right amount of cheese. Crust was cooked to perfection; I actually ate all the crust (I'm usually guilty of leaving some "ends.") Highly recommend! 2024: 36/100 read more

White Ferrari is white hot! Nice n thin with an East Coast feel. Wasn't crazy about the cheese pizza (ordered half Ferrari and half cheese) but the White Ferrari is worth a whole pie experience. Great taste, just enough garlic and herbs with cheesy goodness!!! read more
