I prefer Marco's Pizza to John and Mary's Arcade, which has absolutely trash customer service and quality the past several years. By contrast, Marco's has excellent customer service, but I gave it 3 rather than 4 stars due to a clear and consistent obvious lack of consistency. I generally order stromboli from them, but it's really hit or miss depending on the day. Some days the stromboli is big and golden brown and amazing. I'd give it 5 stars. Other days it's tiny, completely undercooked, and even missing ingredients. I'd give it 1 star. If they could make the 5-star stromboli consistently, my rating would be 4 or even 5 stars. The pizza is decent but the chicken wings consistently disappoint. I was in there recently and a sign said the wings were so small that they'd offer more than usual to make up the difference. Again, I'd much rather have consistency. Eat here on occasion because they can't be consistent, but I do love a good stromboli. Wish they could get it right read more

After a day of swimming at a local town park, we needed an air conditioned place to take the kids for dinner. Marco's to the rescue. The aroma of freshly baked pizza was so enticing, and drew us up to the counter without hesitation. The kids ordered the standard KID Meals: fingers and fries and a kid's personal pan pizza. Both come with a juice box. Our smaller boy, aka the "picky one" began devouring the fingers like nobody's business. I was glad to see that they were "real" chicken cutlets, not reformed chopped chicken product. Ok, so it was the best thing he ever ate! Our bigger boy eats pizza every chance he gets, as his mom works at a pizza shop in another town. He eagerly expressed approval of Marco's sauce and cheese! Life is good! I had the chicken souvlaki salad with a garlic breadstick. Very delicious and a great bargain at only $8.99! I strongly suggest that you put Marco's on your bucket list! read more

I have gotten food from here for the last 15 years and from the past it was good but now it's starting to be burnt here and there on the bottom, but the rest of the food is good. I keep always getting a cream cheese pretzel, which are amazing 100% recommend if you have it Other than that the food is pretty good. The prices are pretty good and the chicken wings are amazing. read more

Shawn's Pizza Reviews REVIEW # 2 MARCO'S PIZZA & SUBS ARCADE, NY Score 8.1 Interesting story. So we walk in and order a small pizza. They guy tells us 15 mins so we sit and wait on the bench outside. A gentleman pulls up and jokingly tells us to keep an eye on his minivan and make sure nobody touches it, typical pizza guy. Guy comes out of Marco's a few mins later and told us he was going to pay for our food before he found out we already did. So he offers us money which I decline. He then tells us that he was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor but found out today that it was a mis diagnosis. He then handed me $20 and said it was something he must do because of the great news. You could really see the relief in his actions knowing he still has a lot of life ahead of him! Onto the review! Marco's Pizza & Subs is a cool location on West Main St in Arcade, NY. Seating was not available probably due to covid. Customer service was good. Once we received the pie, we found it must have been cut with a very dull slicer because we had to basically tear the slices apart causing cheese mayhem. That was the ONLY downfall though! I was here again recently but this time I found the food less enjoyable. I ordered a smaller pizza and the crust was just as "spongy" as ever... I can't be sure, but I suspect that they might use preformed crusts. The crust didn't really taste like pizza, and it didn't remind me of bread either. Somewhat odd, actually. The bigger issue is today at least my pizza tasted strongly of dehydrated herbs. You know, the shaker Italian herbs that are in everybody's cupboard. The sauce didn't taste fresh or acidic but just like bad spaghetti sauce from a school cafeteria. There were more herbs sprinkled on the top. I don't know if it is always like this (I don't come here much) but I didn't enjoy the pizza at all. The staff... I counted at least 7... were extremely helpful and friendly. I'm visiting a family in Arcade, NY!!! The boondocks of all boondocks. I've never been out in the country before and this is definitely the country. But you'll still be surprised that you'll still find some good eats in this little town! Marco's seems to be a hometown establishment. The family I stayed with even has the restaurant number stored in their cell phone. So on the way back from Niagara falls we call and put in a pick up order: 1 large pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms. 5 subs 1 order of pizza balls And a 2L soda. Total came out to about $60. Not bad to feed 6 grown adults! Everything I had was really good. The best thing was the sub...it was so good we had it again the next day. They have these chicken finger subs that are super popular. You can get them with hot sauce, so it taste like a hot wing sub. Very good. So if you are ever in the town of Arcade...make sure you grab a chicken finger sub! read more

Our family LOVES Marcos Pizza... in fact, my hubby says Mark is a Pizza God ha! But as good as the food is, his staff is just awesome! Always friendly & courteous, & my order is always right. Mark and his crew also help our community and help with children's events. He has gone above and beyond many times over! Tried this place out specifically to get the pizza balls I read out. I couldn't have been more disappointed with them. When I received them served in a basket with no utensils or napkins the bottom of the basket was lined with grease. I found the utensils, plates, napkins and forks were located up front which was nice..... But why not serve them all together? The first bite was ok not anything to write home about. As I got closer to the center of the pizza ball it got colder and colder. At almost the center the cheese wasn't even melted. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. I continued to eat a few of the others which were oddly cooked enough. My question is for ordering the cheese and pepperoni balls where was all the pepperoni??? Literally each pizza ball had 2 pepperonis in them!!??!! I find the order size more than enough with 5 balls to an order but why does it seem like that is the only item on the menu that does not contain a price?? Do they charge you whatever they feel like charging for the day? They give you 3-4 options of configuring the pizza balls but all 5 have to be the same kind which is also kind of lame. I think judging on stopping in at prime time lunch time during a weekday finding 4 people inside should have been reason enough to abort. Needless to say I won't be going back. If I do it will certainly not be for the overpriced pizza balls. read more

So repulsive I actually threw up. My salad was packed with raw onions and I could smell it when I opened it so I saved myself there but wow, those in my burrito (which they called a taco but it wasn't) got me unexpectedly. I got a big mouthful. All shredded. And I specifically said no raw onion! Also ordered 10 wings which can with a thimble full of dressing for dipping but several were broken pieces and not intact wings. I love this place. I order at least once a week for my son and I. He usually gets the kids meal pizza, which comes with goldfish, a juice, and a sucker. I usually get the chicken fingers with medium sauce on the side. The chicken fingers are actual real fingers and not those weird flat things people call fingers. The sauce is a bit weird, but other than that the food is great. I've tried pretty much everything off of their menu. The tacos are gigantic, worth the price. The pizza balls I received weren't that good, but I'd order them again. Their drivers have always been very curteous and polite when at my house, and the owner is very personable. The people who answer the phone seem somewhat knowledgeable on the prices and what's on the menu. The only thing I don't like is that is seems the bakers at the restaurant don't know what well done means. I've asked for it numerous times just to have a soggy pizza delivered, that's why I stopped ordering the pizza. It's good, but not my thing. The sauce is good as well and they use a decent amount of mozarella. Their dough is fluffy and doesn't taste of yeast like other places around here. All in all I give the place 5 stars. read more

I sooo wanted to give them a 5 star rating because this place is that good. A few mistakes in orders doesn't allow the 5th star. Honestly, we had only one mistake recently which was picking up our order which contained one wrong sub out of two. We got home (which is 12 miles away) and called. We barely got the words out of our mouth about the error when the young lady was apologizing profusely. She had tried to catch us before we left but missed us. They offered to deliver the right sub and included a 2L of pop as well for the mistake. We were impressed! The delivery guy was at our house in no time. After this, we had placed another order specifically asking for no onions on a sub as my husband is allergic - and there were onions on it. Him and I switched our subs and I just took the onions off as I don't eat them either. Aside from these two mistakes, their food is excellent and priced well.
