I want to share a recent experience at Marco's Pizza on Main Street in Houston. Today I placed an order, picked it up, and unfortunately discovered flies in my food. I immediately called the restaurant to report the issue. I spoke with the manager, Dan, who was very rude during the conversation. When I asked what could be done to resolve the situation, he described me as "hostile," even though I was simply trying to understand next steps. He mentioned a refund but said I would not be refunded for my drinks since there were no flies in them. I never requested a refund for the drinks--I was only trying to address the contaminated food and find a solution. The tone of the conversation felt dismissive, and I was ultimately passed off to another employee without any proper acknowledgment or closure from him. Fortunately, the second employee handled the situation professionally and resolved the issue by issuing a refund without any problems. I've supported this location for about four years, but after this experience--receiving contaminated food and then being treated dismissively when reporting it--I will not be returning and cannot recommend this location. read more

We enjoyed a delivery of some items we've never tried before and loved them....I got a chicken n bacon n ranch pizzoli and a pepperoni pizzoli, never had these before and they were very tasty. My wife enjoyed a piiza bowl and a meatball bake. read more

Pizza was tasty but it was one of the oiliest pizzas I've ever had! Not sure if the dough of the chicken pizza roll was undercooked but it was gooey and strangely fluffy. We ended up throwing this one away mostly because it was so oily and wet. Service was quick and nice for an online takeout order. The store is quite big with table booth seating... probably one of the few fast food pizza places I've seen with seating! Nice to try and it fixed the pizza cravings~ probably great for those that don't mind the oil, but I'll personally try elsewhere next time. read more

I have had Marco's pizza in the past, but never ordered it myself. I ordered for carry out and picked it up. Food- pizza/cheesy bread was nice and hot and ready, when I came to pick up. My order was correct. Owner who rang me up was courteous, kind, and customer service oriented I could tell. It was quick in and out which I really liked. I enjoyed my experience, would vist again. Great pizza ordered late at night for delivery. Service was quick, but just barely warm upon arrival. This was due to Grubhub. Due to the pizza being delivered, I'm not sure what the ambiance at the restaurant is like. I would recommend if possible to pick up the pizza. The pizza was $22.18 for a large chicken Hawaiian. Was hanging out arount the South Loop and family wanted something quick and easy for dinner. Searched for pizza delivery and checked out Marco's. It was close to us and had delivery service. The on-line order went well and was delivered to out hotel room promptly. The delivery person was very professional. When the pizza entered to room, the smell told all of us that the pizza will be awesome! The presentation of the delivered pizza showed Marco's cares about their business. All ingredients were smartly placed where each flavor could be enjoyed-not over-bearing with any one flavor. BTW we only ordered the special pizza. ALL ingredients were fresh and the salt level was actually perfect (I find most pizzas are too salty) Bottom line, at least on this day, my family and I really enjoyed this pizza and highly recommend them. read more

If I could "0" stars I would. I purchased a giftcard from this specific location for a graduation for a child. The child has been trying to use the gift card but now his mother is being told they do not sell giftcards. I called trying to see what is going on because thankfully I have my receipt from my walk in purchase. I have been given the run around about this. I tried to call a manager but someone started there wasn't a manager on duty. How ironic? I would stand clear from this place. Outraged by this place. It was my first time, I got a flyer with coupons and figured why not give it a try. I ordered the deluxe pizza to go and come to find out This place gives false advertising. The deluxe pizza I ordered wasn't anything like I was expecting. The pictures online and on the hand flyer, she big juicy long looking peppers and onions. I got some budget cutting micro bell peppers and onions chopped on my pizza. Nothing like what was on the photo. I mean the box shows what it's suppose to look like. Pizza was ready faster than expected. Tasted great, all ingredients were fresh and toppings were distributed equally.

While there's no lack of pizza options in this neighborhood, there's definitely not that many places with such fresh and balanced ingredients and a proper airy, crispy, flavorful crust. Wanted to also note how pleasant and welcoming the greetings were from whom I can only imagine were the franchise owners. Think I found my new go-to pizza place! read more

Ordered from here for the first time during the super bowl. Thankfully delivery didn't take hours. We ordered cheese sticks and a large 1/2 pepperoni 1/2 cheese pizza. Cheese sticks were terrible - wouldn't order them again. Tasted mostly like bread, nothing cheesy about it. Pizza was pretty decent. Nothing to rave about, but also I think it's better/different than the normal chain (pizza hut, dominos etc.) restaurants. Where do I start? oh I know! THEY CHARGED MY CARD WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION!!!!! I called in for a pizza, wanted to use their deal I saw online but there was no way to order it via online the way I wanted. Called instead & the dude handled it & said my total was $8.31 - cool, I get to the $hithole of an 'establishment'. I go in & PAY the $8.31 and I'm ready to go about my night. Get to the car to make sure I double check the pizza before leaving. And they made it wrong...I specificially ordered it as intended over the phone but the dude clearly misheard me. I go back in and tell them the issue & they say it'll be a little bit since they have to run it back through - mind you they also hesitated bc they didn't want the pizza to burn (that was understandable the next part was not!) & looked like they were going to throw it away & make a new one. I told them that wasn't necessary, just fix the one I already bought and it would be fine. I walk out to go sit at my car & notice them at the POS screen pointing and whatnot & I'm like maybe they're just checking on my order to see where they got it wrong at? NOPE When I walked in they said nothing to the effect of "hey there was a mistake" NOTHING. Also mind you, I waited damn near 10-15mins for it to be 're-done'. When I go back in the pizza was sitting on the rack thing (not in a warmer - just the wire rack that's off to the side of their prep line table) and I'm like hmmm..you couldn't wave to my car to Lmk it was done? or hell even walk to the door & say 'hi your pizza is done'. Anyway, I double check this time before leaving or even walking out their door, it looks fine now, a little burnt but whatever. Something told me to check my statement so I did - 1.5 weeks ago I check my statement & see they charged me twice! Two separate charges - different amounts! I call tell the issue to who answered, then the manager was put on, tell the issue again...and he looks it up. Then says yea everything looks fine. I say no it's not. I was told one charge on the phone, went into that place & actually paid and authorized that ONE PAYMENT which I signed for. The other payment was without my knowledge, I even asked what it was for. And he's like "well what you bought, no matter how I put it in it adds up for that". Thats not the point idiot! Fast forward his smart ass says "well you already ate the product, so unless you have the receipt.." wtf? Do you not understand the bigger picture here? You charged my card without my knowledge. If there was a mistake on yalls end LET THAT BE KNOWN TO THE CUSTOMER THAT FUCKING DAY! THE MINUTE I WAS IN THERE!!!! You DO NOT just charge their card without their notice! That's unethical and bad business practice!! I told the 'manager' that and he just said "well we've been on the phone for 12 minutes & theres no resolution..." YEA DUMMY BC YOU WONT PROVIDE ONE NOR APOLOGIZE! He mentioned that it was a glitch, but this is the first time it's happened in over 1yr - thats not a glitch fool, is that the best lie you could come up with? You purposefully charged my card - & I put together that's what they were pointing at when they were glaring at the POS screen, fucking charging my card But conveniently TOLD ME NADA when I walked in? Marcos just unseated my long time go to pizza in town (pepperonis). Much Better sauce and ore of it (the right amount, not too much, not too little), better crust (add the garlic to the crust). Ordered a large cheese pizza and what I got was disgraceful (not to mention very small for your average large). When I say it was the worst pizza I've had in Houston, I'm not exaggerating. Avoid this place at all costs unless you enjoy rubbery cheese and cardboard undercarriage. The pizza tasted like it sat out for hours before it got to me. Horrible. Will never order from here again. Really nice customer service and clean restaurant. Food took about 20 to 30 minutes to be ready, but we did order a lot of food for our party of six and we weren't in a rush. Everything was hot and DELICIOUS!! Those little cinnamon squares were out of this world good, I loved them! 5 stars for sure !!! Today is 2/16 the day of Houston's winter storm and majority of everybody on Main is closed. Marco's pizza was packed as sardines when i pulled up and it only took 47 min in total . The line wrapped around the table of seating in the restaurant and they were only serving pepperoni and sausage at the time. I ordered a thin crust pepperoni(which i don't like but that's all they had at the time of order) . We stopped by the location on 73 where Elijah was the manager. He made the experience. We came in late and ate in. Picture perfect deluxe pizza and salad. Marco's is a good go to for pizza. No it's not NY pizza, coal fired pizza or the like. But for a decent pizza franchise, I would give it an 8 outta 10(Dominos-Pizza the Hut and PapaSellout are all 5 or less for a comparison). The toppings, sauce and cheese were all on point. The only things I can take off for is the dough. Don't get me wrong, it is made fresh, with the dough mixer in view. But, with all franchise pizzas that use the conveyor belt ovens, the dough seems to never be cooked completely. Ovens need to be calibrated frequently FYI! read more
