Stopped by this pizza spot for a slice on our first visit, and overall it was a pretty good experience. We ordered a cheese pizza slice, which comes with mozzarella, and added cheddar, Asiago, and garlic ricotta. The garlic ricotta was absolutely delicious! They also offer a great variety of meat, veggie, and cheese toppings that can be added to slices or whole pizzas. We'd rate the pizza an 8/10. The crust was definitely our favorite part--it was cooked perfectly with a nice crunch. They were generous with the cheese, and the overall flavor was really good. The only thing we felt was missing was a little more marinara sauce. We gave the restaurant 3 stars because, when we walked in, no one greeted us. There were only two other people in the restaurant, which were the workers who were sitting down having a conversation, so the customer service could have been more welcoming. When I walked in only the owner? was in there. He took my order and got my slice out in maybe 6mins? It was quick so I wasn't sure what to expect. I got a HUGE slice of cheese pizza and a soda and paid less than $10- a steal. I couldn't wait to try this pizza and it didn't disappoint. It was cheesy but not overwhelming. Ordered a pizza with extra mozzarella, parmesan, and cheddar cheese. The "cheddar cheese" was cold cut up pieces thrown on top of an already cooked pizza. Photo is from seconds after delivery. Called for a refund and was told there was no manager, and that I could come pick up a replacement pizza, or call a number hooked up to a machine for a refund. Groupon generally does me no wrong - sweet deals, some steals, and pizza meals. When I saw a Groupon for Pizza Love, somewhere I've been wanting to try for a while, I snatched one (okay, maybe two) up and called myself a winner winner chicken pizza dinner. Walking into Pizza Love on a Saturday night, I realized I was no winner once I saw the large "Manager's Special" sign. The Manager's Special was one large 14" 3-topping pizza and an appetizer or salad (up to an $8.99 value) for $14.99 before taxes. My Groupon was almost identical, but more limited because I could not get a salad or an appetizer, just an appetizer. I asked the cashier if I could get a salad instead of an app with my Groupon and she was quick to say no. Just a warning - you don't need a Groupon! Don't limit yourself with the time sensitive restriction of the Groupon. No, the Manager's Special may not always be there but honestly, the pizzas and apps wouldn't have been much more had I not had a Groupon. Don't get me wrong, pretty good deal but you could get the same quantity and quality at a Papa John's or Dominoes. Pros: - The crust! If you enjoy thin crust, this place is for you. Each bite was crispy and crunchy! - Our waitress/cashier was super sweet - We received a free Garden Salad for our long wait time (see below) Cons: - Wait time - there was one person ahead of us with a take out order but it still took our garlic knots 40 minutes to come out, and pizza about 50 minutes - Garlic knots were rather oily and not as soft as I thought it would be - The hot sausage we got on our pizza was sliced SUPER thin. We barely had any meat on our pizza - The pizza flavor itself was a tad bit on the bland side, still okay but could have used more flavor The shop is small, with only a few tables. Ambiance is of a normal small pizza parlor. There's an empty gelato freezer at the front where you order, where the ice cold gelato use to live before global warming (RIP gelato). Try this place if you really are just running out of new pizza places to try. Skip this place if you are expecting something to knock your socks off. read more

Pizza love is located on Montrose, right by Walgreens in the shopping lot where berry hill use to be and where Starbucks is. The place is relatively smaller in size with limited seating and a few seats outside too. It's best to carry out. You can call in your order too. They currently have a groupon offer available for this location, so take advantage. What the groupon offer is a large 3 topper plus an order of appetizer (up to 8.99) for 15.98. The regular price is 24.98. Also groupon usually has an extra 20% promotion weekly so u might end up paying only about $13.00. I usually get the large pizza with mushroom jalapeños and beef, and an order of BBQ wings. The pizza is always prepared fresh with plenty of toppings bursting from the pizza and the cheese just stretching away from the pizza. They have a wide selection of toppings and a good selection of specialty pizzas which I haven't tried yet. Their Wings are pretty flavorful too. They have an order of either 10 or 20. My two favorite are the BBQ or hot. They are served with your choice of dip. This place is open till late nights, and serves as a great late nite snack. The employees are friendly and pleasant. Hate to give two to three star ratings but wow this pizza is just not that great. It's okay but star pizza down the road is much better than you have romanos down the road as well. If I could give this place zero stars I would!!! Me and my son ordered 2 slices of pizza before they closed. The lady in the front said they were closed but the two open signs were on. She told us that we could only order sliced pizza or wings and we chose the slices. We paid $15 for two slices of pizza that were not edible and had no cheese!!! I could not call about my concern because they were close. I did call the next day and some guy argued me down that they always put cheese on their pizza. I have been coming here since 2015. They have always been great with a lot of ingredients on it. I ordered the same pizza I have always ordered to go. When I got home there was really nothing on it. NO is my answer..., here is my experience. I ordered the Greek Salad - which would have been nicely presented as an appetizer; however, it was supposed to be a main course item..., at least that's what I judged from the price. (But that's on my side.) The item came out on a plate with two balsamic vinaigrette's in plastic ramekins, and two slices of a French bread that were neither toasted, nor even for fast-food, prepared correctly. (I was especially taken by the little green items on top of the bread which resembled something topping a kid's ice-cream cone. ) I would recommend the establishment if you are taking kids out, and want a place where you can watch them. It is a small dining area and it might be fun with the Gelato stand, etc. For a quick, work-hour lunch that's filling and you feel like you have received value for your money - I can't recommend. Salad, water plus $2 tip..., wasn't worth it. Just so much more value out there today. This place is ETS! {Every-Thing-SYSCO!} It was not a $10.00 lunch. The pizza was pretty tasty. Good crust (thin and a little chewy) and the topping tasted fresh. The calzone was nice too. Smaller than other places but good. They were both greasier than I expected, but not too bad. The sauce was ok, but I'm not a big sauce person anyway. So we are looking at a four star review, right? No, the cheesecake was so bad they lose a star. It was a small piece of Sara Lee-ish quality. It tasted awful and was still freaking frozen. Meh. I've experienced better. If you're looking for good pizza and fast delivery, I think Pink's beats Pizza Love on a lot of levels, but I'm not completely throwing Pizza Love to the curb. We've walked over to their thin little storefront for a slice of pizza and some gelato and have been happy. They just don't seem to do anything on an outstanding level. There are plenty of choices when it comes to their food options. Pizzas of course, but they also offer sub sandwiches, many various calzones, 4-5 salads, and gelato ice cream for desserts. We had the ziti with artichokes which arrived steaming and covered with melted mozzarella. We also ordered a veggie calzone that was full of chopped fresh veggies and black olives and cheese. Crust was perfect and brushed with garlic butter. Served with hot marinara sauce. The ziti also came with garlic bread that was buttery and fresh. The interior of the place left much to be desired. The pizza is just wonderful. I recommend getting their white sauce on your pizza, in place of the usual tomato based sauce, because it is absolutely delicious. It adds a whole nother layer of flavor, and makes for a nice change from the usual. Another great thing about this place is their party sized pizzas. They prepare your food "in the back" which is completely obscured from sight - uncommon for a pizza place and especially disconcerting when you notice the place isn't the cleanest and your slice looks like it's been kicked back and forth on the floor, Shenaniganz style. 1 Star. 2. You feel robbed. I thought I might be getting robbed when he showed me the $4 price for a slice, because $4-$5 is what's being charged by top Houston pizza places which this place obviously is not.
