Marco's has been a solid pizza place for me during the pandemic. Easy online ordering,fast delivery and pizza ready at quoted pick up time. I've been satisfied with every order, my favorite is the grilled chicken florentine on thin crust. The taste of the pizzas I've ordered, have always tasted fairly decent and fresh for a chain pizza place. This location on the day I went was clean, employees seen washing their hands, masks worn, and hand sanitizer available and friendly lady at the counter greeted me. Unfortunately not a positive experience for a Thursday night. Pizza ordered at 8:30.. Promise of delivery by 9. Gave a call at 9:20 to check in, was told they were backed up on deliveries. Totally get it, was told we would receive our order in 15 and it was headed out now. 9:45, no order yet. Called again, different person speaking. Everyone has been kind. Said they would call the driver and then call me back. Trying to call at 10pm for an update... no one answering the phones. When I called fifteen earlier, I could hear other phones ringing. We saw Marco's ad for their cauliflower pizza and since my husband is now gluten intolerant we knew we had to try it! The young lady at the register was Fantastic! She quickly took our order and applied our coupon code and our order was ready in 9 minutes! There is plenty of room to eat in and it's a great atmosphere and very clean. Ours was a carry out for the football game. Our thin crust Deluxe Pizza was Delicious! Full of toppings! My husband said his was The Best Pizza he's had in a year...and we have tried them All!! I come here a couple times a week for lunch and pretty much always get a calzone. They're quick, usually 10-15 minutes and customizable. It's hard to find a decent lunch for $8 these days. So the first time i had Marcos was when it first opened at this location about 4 months ago. I had ordered the Deluxe Uno with the Roma crust topping. I was very surprised on how good the pizza was along with the buttery roma seasoning on the crust that was a complimentary option. This is the best thing imo and no other pizza place does this. But then the 2nd and 3rd time I ordered I specifically asked for the roma seasoning as well and did not get it but on 1 of the 2 pizzas that i ordered. The order was even repeated back to me both times and i had ordered 2 pizzas each time. So technically they screwed up on 3/4 pizzas. Its just a crust sseasoning i know but thats the best part of Marcos pizzas is that you can order the pizza with the crust toppings. I would give Marcos 4 stars but bc of repeated screw up of my crust toppings, i have to give them only 3 stars. Pizza was good, not great. Sauce was average, seemed a little too much on the plain side of tomato sauce. Crust was best part, fresh and chewy. Cheese Bread was very good. I would order again, but not my top choice in Memphis. We dined-in on a Sunday night. Place is clean and convenient located on Hwy 64 in Lakeland. PIZZA - (3 Stars) We ordered a large cheese pizza with Roma seasoning on the crust. Two other crust seasonings are available. Price was $9.99. Honestly the pizza was ok. Nothing extraordinary, good not great. I'd say its about equal to Dominoes or Papa John's. CHEESYBREAD - (4 stars) Actually this is one of the better cheesy-breads I've had. Was a touch on the greasy side, but chewy and full of flavor. Price was $4.99 per the receipt although we got an unexplained $1.99 discount, which was nice! OTHER We were welcomed by the staff upon entry. Staff provided helpful answers and suggestions to our questions. This location is spotty at best. They can make a great pizza but consistency is a problem. We ordered an extra large pepperoni with extra cheese last night. Sounds simple, right? Well I thought so until I open the box at home. All the toppings slid to the center pizza leaving 4-5 inches of thick crust around the edge with nothing on it. To top it off, not a single slice was actually cut through the crust. Hint for owner: As a customer I would like the pizza I buy to look like the pizza you advertise. My order was incomplete, when I called Marcos their employee said I need to reorder it and pay again. So I proceeded to ask that Marcos is allowed to send out orders that are incomplete and the customer has to pay to rectify their mistake and the employee simply replied yes. Marcos Lakeland has the best food and service I've come across for a chain. It's a running joke with my wife that the food gets to us in half the time, which is always a pleasant surprise. Awful customer service!!! There were three people in area to place an order. Two of the guys were pretending to be busy talking among themselves. The young lady was helping the customer in front of me mean. When another customer came in one of the two guys immediately asked the customer if he needed help. If they were actually busy (which I doubt) and all of a sudden was available, what he should have said is I can help the next person in line. Pizza was a little greasy. The wings were grade D when our order was right. They did immediately bring out the right order which was a plus. I think they will get better over time. I love marcos, and I'm giving this location the benefit of the doubt, since it's new. Their "well done" pizzas seem to be cooked light and good Jesus alive it's the greasiest pizza I've ever had. So I've ordered from here twice. Last time, our well done pizza was limp and undercooked so we stuck it in the oven and all that grease, in our new oven, started a fire. i was SO pumped to have a marcos here, but these people need more training. read more

First time at a Marco's and came on the rec of another yelper. It was very good and we'll be back. Early lunchtime today (Saturday), with nobody in restaurant. People streamed in to pick up orders the whole time we were there. VERY friendly cashier who answered our questions and pointed out deals. I missed his name. Tall guy, brown hair, with a light beard. While we were there, he helped another customer who had never been there and talked her through all the choices and specials so she'd get exactly what she wanted for the best price. We got 2 lunch deals, a thin crust medium Hawaiian pizza and 2 drinks for $12.99 and an Italiano sub, chips, and a drink for $7.99. My guys devoured the pizza. If you like your crust thin and crispy, this will work for you. They cut it in squares instead of triangles, so note that if you like to hold it from the edge. Flavorful meat and pineapple. Sauce was ok, not anything amazing but still tasty. The sub was so good! Exactly the way I like them made. Toasted so the bread is crunchy, with the meats crisped a bit and the cheese all melty. The sandwich had onions and banana peppers, too. I had them add mayo, and next time I'll ask for lettuce and tomato. But it's delicious just as it is on the menu. I can't wait to try the ham and cheese and the club. Unsweetened tea was good and fresh. Store was clean and tidy. This has been my family's go-to delivery pizza spot since they opened up this location and at first the food was amazing with tolerable service. We always order online and, let me just say, their online layout is very clean and easy to use! They've never missed anything from our order and were able to deliver it within an hour which is longer than Pizza Hut but we knew the quality would be worth it. Whenever the delivery person knocked on the door, they always had something polite to say, whether it be about our cute dog, our outdoor decor or even an apology for a slightly delayed delivery. All good. All dandy. Good stuff. However this all changed last night, a Monday evening. The family was getting ready to go back to work and school the next day and nobody could be bothered to cook so we ordered from "ol' reliable" Marcos. Our food took the average 45-50 minutes to be delivered and the woman gave an attempt at an apology by then complimenting our landscaping. We then noticed we were missing half of our order so I ran outside to her car to tell her and she said she would call the store to have someone bring it to us within the hour. She sped off with her music loudly playing through the speakers of her Jeep. I return to my family to at least serve the children their pizza. The rest of us sat in wait for our sandwiches and Cheesy Bread. I went upstairs to watch TV while I waited and then when I thought i heard a knocking at the door, I fell going down the stairs at a hunger-induced speed to see if our food was here. I twisted my knee as a result, have to wear a knee brace now and to top it all off; no sandwiches or cheesy bread was ever delivered to our abode. Another Pizza Hut convert here. Got tired of the PH across the street screwing up orders and decided to give Marco's a try. I'm glad I did. It was good. The flavors are more robust and hearty than the bland flavors across the street, and the thick crust is very good. The crust reminds me of PH crust from 25 years ago. The service was great, the staff is friendly, the pizza was hot and on time, and I have no complaints. Taps still sounds over the Pizza Hut across the street. read more

Have tried this place twice. The service is awful. The first time I ordered a salad to go. There were no more than 3 other customers in the restaurant. After waiting 20 minutes and seeing 2 other customers come in after me to place order only to receive their order ; I inquired about my salad. No one had even made it. The young female who took my order kept disappearing and did not come to check on my order even after seeing me standing in front of counter for some time. The next visit was as a dine in. I ordered a small meat lover pizza and drink. I waited at table for over 25 minutes. The 2 men who ordered after me received their meals. No one acknowledged me as I sat there staring. I had to find someone to ask where my pizza was. The guy who took my order was no where to be found. The new person found my pizza and brought to table. It was almost cold. I gave up, asked for a box(was told they didn't have one) I pointed to boxes and said what is that? Another employee grabbed a box and gave me one. I brought pizza home to heat up. On July 11,2018 I decided to try the Pizza at Marco"s. I ordered 2 Med with just Pepperoni. and cheese sticks and a 2 liter drink for $20.99. With a delivery charge. I paid the driver and added a $10,00 tip. I open my order and found that I got someone's order instead of mine. I had the the p ersons phone number so I called and he said that he called and that they were send him the right pizza out. I waited to see if they would call me and I never got a call. I ended up spending $36 for 2 pizzas I didn't want. For a first time customer, this was the worst service ever. They lost a customer. Very poor quality control at all levels.A waste of hard earned money. $36 is alot to pay for bad service. read more

The crust & sauce are very good with fresh, flavorful and ample toppings, plus they don't skimp out on the cheese either!
