Let me start by saying the service was exceptional. Becca was waiting on us at the bar and she had a great personality and was very attentive. If it was just for service, I'd rate them a 5. The food was just a miss across the board. 2 stars at best. Not pictured was the Garlic Bread Service which was good, but not really garlic bread. Caesar Salad with the vinaigrette version which just didn't taste like a caesar, unfortunately. The roasted potatoes were good. Little side of ranch was definitely good. The chicken castrioti and veal parm seemed like they were sitting on the pass for quite some time. For the castrioti, it was in the sauce so long it lost all its texture. The sauce was meh despite sounding awesome. The veal was definitely not served fresh. The mozz had congealed and it was luke warm. The portion size at $37 was highly disappointing as well. Friday, 10/17/25, we did date night at the Villa Castrioti in Lakeland, TN. We had enjoyed several lunches there, so we sat at the bar as usual. However, tonight was a disappointment compared to our previous dining experiences there. As usual, the Creamy Caesar Salad was delicious. But, the Margarita pizza and Lasagna were a big disappointment compared to our previous dining experiences here. Additionally, their drink prices are questionable (i.e., $16 for a glass of Kendall Jackson Chardonnay, when a bottle is $13-14 at Kroger's and $34 for a Margarita with an extra shot of Tequila). read more

I went here Saturday for a birthday lunch. Let's start with the positives...great location, my food was good and fresh, and my serverMikayla tried her hardest, she was a sweetheart. The negatives...her crew failed her. She was the only server for a party of -25, and they appeared to leave her high and dry. Apps and entree mishaps were chaotic to say the least. We were served our food an hour after ordering. The manager seemed annoyed and slightly rude. He separated our party and did not let our server know. I never received my sweet tea, and I was charged dinner prices for the lunch menu. I was in a rush to leave, so did not have time to correct my check. Nonetheless, do better and be better. We had reservations for Easter Brunch. We were told it was the regular menu. It was not but it was ok and we ordered from that menu. We ordered drinks and after waiting for over 10 minutes, we still had no drinks! But here comes our food! Our food was lukewarm and not hot at all. Our drinks finally came out. Then the ticket was wrong! We were overcharged $4.00 for an extra side dish and $2.00 on a drink. Waitress kept saying it was the computer. Hmmm. Villa Castrioti is a great Italian spot located in Cordova and Lakeland. Their prices range from $10-$20 at lunch and $20-$60 at dinner. I found that their more affordable options, like the gnocchi and the pasta primavera, are just as good as some of their more expensive options. Their grilled shrimp is rather expensive ($16 to add to my pasta) but it is some of the best shrimp I've tried. The cocktails are my favorite in the area. The service is always excellent. The front room is rather small and well lit, while the main dining room is warm and cozy. I highly recommend trying the gnocchi appetizer, the mushroom risotto side, and the pistachio martini for dessert. I did not care for the veal scallopini nor the ravioli. read more

The ambiance is beautiful, especially the dining room ! The service was moderate..me and my husband sat down at the bar and it took a while to be greeted. There were several dirty dishes at the bar , but the manager came and grabbed them. The drinks were really good which is consistent with other reviews .. there was also live music which was a nice touch . The pizza was okay..it did come out fast which was good , the crust was crispy but the sauce was bland . My wife and I had an opportunity to visit Villa Castrioti in Lakeland. The first thing that you notice when you walk into this restaurant is how nice and classy the restaurant looks on the inside. The second thing that you notice about Villa Castrioti is the service. I would rate the service as top notch. The reason as to why I give Villa Castrioti 4 out of 5 stars is because of the flavor of the food. I thought that the calamari appetizer and the seafood platter, were both a little bland. This is just my opinion of course, but I just thought that both dishes could use a bit more seasoning. I had the salad that was delicious, good home made dressing. And an oil and garlic pasta (my favorite but they don't sell it in most American places). Plus a tiramisu. It was all great. My husband and I have been to the Cordova location, a few yrs ago, and loved it. We were excited to try the Lakeland location being closer to us. I made reservations two days prior for a 5:30pm, Saturday night...pretty early for most Saturday diner's. We walked in...love the atmosphere and decor. Greeted right away and we were Seated. As we were walking thru the restaurant, I was impressed with the decor and was happy to be going deeper into the restaurant to be away from the front. We were disappointedly placed at a table RIGHT BY the kitchen entrance ( no door) and where the dirty dishes were placed in a bin. I asked our hostess if we could be seated somewhere else, a booth preferably. She said no, all have reservations. I saw TWO reserved cards on about 75-80% empty tables ( again it was early. 5:30). I sat on the "booth seat", against the wall, my husband sat across, in a chair. The booth seat was too high from the table, his chair was kinda low from the table. Very uncomfortable I have to give great praise to our waitress, ( Jackie, if I can remember correctly) she was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We both ordered the Castrioti salad....delicious!! The complimentary bread and marinara sauce....bland. We shared the chicken piccata ( with white wine cream sauce) and mushroom risotto. The "cream sauce" was more of an oil cheese sauce, the risotto had a great fresh mushroom flavor, but the risotto was a bit crunchy....I know Italian cuisine...pasta should be al dente, this was way undercooked! However, the chicken was tender, juicy and delicious....we both loved every bite of the chicken....couldn't eat the risotto. If we ever do come back, I will reserve a booth away from the kitchen!! VC hosted our party of 15 tonight for my daughter's 21st birthday dinner. We were on the covered patio, and even with tornado warnings and torrential downpours , that did not stop nor waver the great service we received from Alaina and her staff. So, where do i begin? When a friend recommended this place based on the "Yelp" reviews I gave her the side eye but would indulge. I'm so GLAD I did!! Now if anyone has ever eaten at Owen Brennen's then you "think" you have an idea. WRONG!!! This dish was delicious!! The Marsala sauce, mushrooms and lobster were cooked to perfection!! The sauce was the right consistency, TON of lobster but uh rah for $49 it should have been. Oh, and bread Sky brought out upon request sopped up with that sauce was unimaginable. Just TRY it, you won't be disappointed. Now for presentation, I get why the left the lobster tails but in my opinion, it wasted my sauce. As uncouth as this my sound, I licked ALL the sauce off each tail AFTER ensuring I got the lobster out, a bit sloppy but who's judging?!?!? The Asparagus was my side, nothing fancy but cooked to perfection as I ate yet ENTIRE stalk, yes, I sure did! The Ambience was nice, lightly deemed, good selection of music.
