We just had the best experience with this place, They messed up our order on complete accident and we didn't notice it till we got home. When we called instead of giving us a credit or telling us to go and pick it up they drove all the way to our house to drop off the pizza for our toddler! I love Double days... In fact in Georgetown, I got two dozen of the pepperoni rolls so I could bring a dozen and a half home... And I have been enjoying them in my air fryer. haven't grown up in Bryant College Station. Double Daves is part of my childhood. And sometimes I just need a pepperoni roll. We had the delight of being at a friends house when they ordered DoubleDaves pizza! We got an all meat thick crust and a cheese pizza for the kids. Normally I'm not a think crust fan, but this was extraordinary! The crust was buttery, crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The meats were a perfect blend of salty and spicy. The sauce was minimal and the cheese plentiful. It was a pizza made in the hall of Gods by magical titans of cooking power! Ohhhhh my Goddie it was tooooo hottie!!! It was so good that when we left our friend place our whole family wanted more! We ordered more... went and got it... and took it home! I don't know if this was just a one time deal... maybe the stars were all aligned and the pizza god's divine touch landed on doubleDaves that night? I don't know... but I do know... This restaurant was dirty! There was at least 10 tables dirty with plates, cups, food, crumbs. The manager kept saying he needs to get out in the dining room and clean the tables but yet we were here for about an hour and nothing was done. There was also no toilet paper in the restrooms. It's hard to find great pizza here in Texas. Once Jets closed in Cedar Park we were at a loss to find a good hand tossed pizza. Well we have found it here at Double Dave's. We like their specials and the dessert pizzas are amazingly good. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because they only use fresh mushrooms. Canned mushrooms belong on the pizza. Fresh mushrooms dry out too much. And I love mushrooms on my pizza. They have one of the best pizza buffets I've been to. You can special order any pizza you want and they make it for the buffet. $10 and it includes your drink, the salad bar, and many different pizzas. They also put Stromboli, bread sticks and pizza rolls on it so there is a nice variety. In Georgetown the buffet is M-F during lunch and Wednesday and Sunday dinner buffet. I have driven by this place, and have ate next door at Pok-E-Joes (also good) , but had yet to try this place. Last night, my Fiancee and I ordered delivery thru their website (easy to use, by the way). The only bad thing about the order, was the wait (and not tracking, like Marco's pizza), so didn't know the status until got email "it was on it's way" (*they did also send e-mail of confirmation of order). When the delivery guy showed up, he apologized for taking so long (a little over an hour). He said they were very busy. But, the pizza made up for the delay! I got an hand tossed, all meat pizza (Large) for my Fiancee. It was huge! It was not greasy at all (which tends to happen when you have a lot of meat on it). I tried one slice of his, and it was good! I got a thin crust Margarita pizza (Medium). OMG, sooo good! The crust was perfect! Crunchy, but still had good texture. And the tomatoes, you could tell were fresh! I could not get enough! We will definitely order from them again (*just hope for shorter delivery time)!! read more

First off this review is only on the thin crust pizza we had. We did not try their rolls or desserts. On a Sunday afternoon, hubby and I were the only ones in there. We each got a medium pizza, he did a build your own and I had the meat lovers. It took about 25 mins to get our pizzas even though we were the only ones there. We weren't in any hurry so were ok with that, as long as they came out hot...which they were. Other folks did come in for pizza pickup so the kitchen was busy. I do have to say the pizzas were good, not overly sauced and with crispy crust. Only negative I have to say, and it's nothing bad about the food, is that while eating there you could smell cigar smoke from the cigar lounge next door. I have seen some crazy things in all my years, but I am truly shocked at the lack of professionalism in this place. I called to place an order, go with my 65 year old father to pick it up, and the kid at the counter says, "...um I remember you calling, but I guess I lost the order." He then tells my father he can place it again if we just wait for it. My dad sighed and said, "You know...just forget it." Then he proceeded to walk out. Visited for the first time today. Me and the kid walked in the door 3 minutes after they opened up. $10 each for buffet and drink. There were no pizzas out, which was great. I don't like walking in to a buffet right when it opens and finding it fully stocked. That means the clock is already ticking before I've even walked through the door. Pizzas and other delicious items started coming out just as I was finishing my salad, so perfect timing. Speaking of the salad-don't come here for the salad bar. Yes it has lettuce (giant strips 1in x 6-10in long) and 18-20 toppings, but if you want a salad bar buffet go the only other buffet I've seen in town. This place is all about the hot items. Crispy thin pizza with slightly greasy pepperoni, more traditional crust pizza-both good. The great-peproni rolls and Philly cheesesteak stromboli. The peproni rolls look like bent breadsticks but they had pepperoni and cheese hidden on the inside of crisp yet tender dough, amazing. The stromboli was filled with delicious steak and melty white cheese, ridiculously tasty. If I had tried those two things first, I probably wouldn't have eaten anything else. I'm not sure if they always have both on the buffet, but if they don't you should ask for them to make some. 3 different dessert options: cherry strudel (meh, pizza dough is too sturdy to use for strudel IMO), cinnamonstyxz (dough with cinnamon sugar on top-tasty), and chocolate chip pizza (awesome-sauce). The CC pizza is their thin crust with some brown sugar cookie dough-type topping and chocolate chips, soooo good. Get it early after thry put it out because the crust does lose its crispness (it is still good, but not as good) after a bit. Great pizza buffet overall. read more

Pizza is exactly what you would expect. However, there's a cigar lounge called 'Zodix' right beside double Dave's. The smell/cigar smoke from the lounge has entered into double Dave's. The smell of cigar is super strong when you enter DD's, to the point you can't dine in and eat there. Pizza taste fine, but definitely do carry out and don't eat inside. read more

I ordered from DoubleDave's in Georgetown for the first time, since we recently moved to Georgetown. When I arrived for my order I chatted with the cashier about their specials and beer prices. A manager, I believe came from the back and apologized because they had created the incorrect pizza I asked for and said it would be another 10 minutes. He was kind enough to allow me a complementary beverage while I waited. I really enjoyed the customer service at this location. They were even kind enough to also give me the pizza that was incorrectly made. I will definitely be back to this location and hopefully share my experience with my friends and family. Love it. Well, we've been here three weeks in a row. First week was GREAT. Good pizza, college football games were on TV - along with several other sports programs. Like watching games while eating good pizza. Second week (Saturday 9/9) went in and none of the TV's were working. Was told that the cashier "didn't know how to turn them on". Well, we were there, were hungry and decided to eat and then go somewhere else to watch games. Today (9/17) we expected to watch some NFL. Must to my surprise, the TV's were still "off". We were told that someone was on their way to fix it - and should be there in 20 minutes. We ordered, ate and left - with still no TV's. Buffet was good - but salad bowl was virtually empty when we got to it. Pizza selection, along with the dessert selection was OK. If you are going to have 8 TV's in the place, it would be nice to have them working. Pizza was good - but not better than some of the other places in town. Next week - no TV - we won't be staying. Visited on a Saturday at 5:00 PM. Hardly anyone there. We had a large group and ordered about $90 worth of food. Sat down with our drinks and waited and waited for our order. After what seemed like 30 minutes we asked what was going on with our order. Manager said they were swamped with orders and was just putting ours in the oven. Very strange since we were the only ones that hadn't got our food. After finally getting food, after waiting about 40 minutes, at least it was decent pizza.
