Marco's sends coupons in the mail and advertises very good deals in local publications. We were having friends over, so the three medium pizzas with one topping each attracted my attention. Price about $21 plus tax. The pizzas were ready for pick up when they said: mushroom, sausage, and extra cheese. All three really good. Everyone liked. We had some leftovers and reheated in the air fryer. Very good again on day 2. Great taste and great value...we will order from Marco's again. The Venice location was very clean and parking was easy. May 5, 2024 - 1 for a slice in my garage at my new to me home in Venice. My painter dropped by who has lived locally for many years and claims Marco's is his go to on many Friday nights!! He actually had just picked up a pepperoni on his ride home, but forgot stuff at my house and came back. Pizza is always good and delivered promptly by friendly people whom I tip V-E-R-Y generously...but I'm gonna drop them because they ABSOLUTELY CANNOT GET AN ORDER CORRECT...you'll pay for what you order--but you won't get the order you paid for--guaranteed. So, it's back to Dominos for me. Dominos is excellent in every regard as well and they seem to have perfected the art of delivering to the customer exactly what was ordered--maybe some day Marco's will crack that code as well. read more

Their website was very easy to navigate an online order. We were able to track the timing well and it was hot when we picked it up. My parents loved the pizza. I forgot order the cauliflower crust, but will for sure next time as they do have a gluten free option. read more

We live so close to Marcos on Shamrock in Venice Fl. it's so convenient. At first their pizza was great but now very disappointing, nothing is consistent. If I wanted to bake my own pizza I would just make the entire thing myself instead of coming home with a pizza with an unbaked crust and having to put it in the oven. read more

We've been ordering from Marco's through their app for take out sporadically for the last 6 years. (We have never eaten at the shop.) Their pizza quality has been consistent. We typically choose one or two of the specialty pizzas. The flavor and quality is good. The dough is puffy/bready and great to dip in dipping sauces. Their staff seems to get the job done. Normally Marco's on Shamrock is our go to pizza place, but last nights pizza was not up to their usual standards. It looked like some one had measured ingredients for a medium pizza and put them on a large crust. The sauce didn't even reach the last 1 1/2 inches from the edge. There was a large popped air bubble on the edge, creating a crater like depression void of anything but crust easily 2 inches in diameter. I know you guys can do better. I've had better from your store. Will definitely start visually checking before I accept the pizza, from now on. read more

Pleased to report the pizzas were very good. The customer service was great and on time.

We were at Marco's pizza the day they opened years ago and have been loyal customers ever since - often times going once a week. This past Monday 6 family members were there enjoying our meal around 6:30 and one of the workers started mopping the floor around us. We politely asked them to wait until we finished our meal. She left and shortly after another staff member came out, which we later found out was the manager, and she resumed mopping right next to our table, as if to spite our request. We voiced our objections again noting the smell and the obvious slippery floor, to which her almost clever reply was she put the wet floor sign up and if we didn't like it we could leave. We all told her how rude she was which visibly angered her as she told us to leave. We said we were not leaving until we finished our meal, at which time she said she was calling the cops. We are all seniors and could not believe the way we were treated. The cops arrived noting they thought they were responding to unruly teenagers and were surprised when they saw us calmly eating our meal. This manager lacks any modicum of business acumen and/or social or interpersonal skills. She is a detriment and an embarrassment to the establishment. We won't be back - there are plenty of other pizza places around. read more

Takeout pizza was very dry, even though it was ordered with double sauce. Toppings were 2" from outside of crust. Usually your pizza is great but today's was poorly made. I will check under the lid from now on. read more

As a patron that lives close to Marcos, my family and I have occasionally grabbing pizzas from this Marcos. We usually use the coupons that come in the mail or with our orders. Last week we ordered our usual (2 pizzas 2/toppings) and the order was incorrect. I called the store to tell them and ask them how they wanted to handle the issue and the manager told me that she would simply attach a note to my phone number for a correct replacement order for whenever we ordered pizzas next time. I called tonight to order those pizzas, and apparently the pizza coupon was a lie, and also the note said not to fill my order because we ask for free stuff all the time?! I knew something weird was going at this store, but WTF? Seriously. This was the most insane thing I have heard in a while. If you're going to treat people portly for using the coupons you send out, then stop send coupons! Shameful.. read more

last Sunday I ordered a pizza online at 5:30 from the Venice Florida store and was sent notice I could pick my pizza up at 6:40. when I arrived at the store there were 30 or 40 customers trying to get the attention of the cashiers to get there pizza. when I finally got the attention of one of the cashiers I was told it would be another 30 or 40 minutes for my pizza to be ready. I cancelled my order immediately and managed to squeeze past all of the irate customers. the parking lot was crammed full and the overflow was parking on the island of the road on front of the store. I have liked the pizza when previously ordered, it the service or lack thereof has turned me off from ordering again. read more

This is for the Marco's on Shamrock Blvd in Venice, Fl. We have been ordering from them for about 5 years now and it started out great. Last 2 years you just never know. We have now had 6 bad experiences with them. First 3 we never mentioned to them the 4th and 5th we did and they made it right with us but it was still an inconvenience. Tonight, once again the pizza we got wasn't even cooked. Cheese barely melted. We could have put it in the oven and bake it but then what's the use in ordering it anyway. When I took it back there was no one in the store but the two people working there and no orders on the shelves to be picked up. I asked for a manager and one younger guy said he was the manager and he was the one I had been talking to so I opted to ask for owners contact info. Well, they said they have no way of contacting him but said his name was Gerry Brockholder, I find it hard to believe they can't contact him. Maybe he should be a little more involved with his business. They gave me my money back. That's it for us. Never again. There are plenty of other great pizza places in Venice. Guess it's time to try them out. Maybe others have had great experiences at this store but not so for us. read more

Well I am a regular customer, order a pizza about twice a month. All I can say it that its a crap shoot! Tonite I picked up a pizza that had No garlic butter on the crust, altho I asked for it, all the cheese, pineapple and pepperoni was thrown in the middle of the small pizza making the crust wet & mushy. I asked for it well done so they burn the top of the pizza crust but the bottom isn't even cooked. Oh and no one cut the pizza, they just threw it in the box. I am really sick of this. read more

I recently moved to Venice Florida as a "snowbird" since the winters up in the Adirondacks were just too brutal for me. I was invited to a party at someone's home and they had pizza that was delivered from Marcos pizza and we absolutely loved it. I then was having was having a few of my friends over and decided to order from them as well and what a wonderful experience that was. They send you an email confirming what you have ordered and when it is to be delivered. They let you know when they will be arriving and the salad and pizza were wonderful. We especially loved the crust which sometimes can make or break a good pizza and their's is great. Everything was delivered hot and the prices were just right for everything...will definitely be ordering from them again. read more

We've been going to Marcos for years and have never been disappointed. We recently ordered food for pickup and were surprised that only one (older) employee (out of 6 or 7) was wearing a mask. If the other employees don't respect me, at least they should wear a mask to respect him. Anyway, the food (chicken sub, wings, salad) was good, but as I later told the manager: "See you when the pandemic is over". If you can't tell a bunch of high school employees that a mask is a condition of employment, you don't deserve my business. We'll find our takeouts elsewhere. read more

Everyone serving and cooking were masked and gloved when we entered to pick up order. Had almost given up trying to find a decent pizza in this area, but glad we gave Marco's a try tonight. Love having different options for crusts, toppings, amounts of sauce/cheese/toppings. We had a meatball/banana pepper pizza and a garden pizza. Both with extra sauce. Very tasty!!
