I could not get my online transaction to go through so I called in my order and the person answering the phone would not listen to what I have to say. Asked for my number and I gave it to her four times before on the fifth time and she repeated it. She still had it wrong. She eventually got it right, found my account online and when I tried to tell her what I wanted, she interrupted me several times to where I just told her never mind I'm just gonna hang up. I was so frustrated.! Being from Ohio this is my favorite place and best place all around for pizza, atmosphere and socializing with others. This was a poor experience for me tonight! First time ordering Donato's. Thin crust pizza with mushroom and onion-the toppings were plentiful and not over cooked. Good balance of cheese, sauce and toppings. The crust was thin but seemed a little underdone and a tiny bit sweet. Overall it was a good pizza. Not amazing but quality. We also ordered the share meatballs. Those were very disappointing. Very salty, mushy texture and they came room temp. They aren't cooked in sauce. They're small plain meatballs that had maybe a half ladle of marinara on top and shredded mozzarella on top that wasn't melted. I put them in the oven to heat but there wasn't enough sauce to really make it anything more than just dried out. They honestly looked and tasted like factory meatballs. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. People rave about this place but I really didn't feel the hype or thought it was better than any of the other popular pizza chains. read more

Waited 40 minutes for terrible pizza. I ordered the Ultimate 4 cheese without sauce and add a balsamic drizzle. When I picked it up, it had sauce and no balsamic. This is their meatball sub. Came home and opened this up, and lost my appetite real fast. Had to drive back there. They initially said it wasn't their sandwich despite their bag, box, & receipt and their meatballs. I told them I lost my appetite and didn't want it. They made another one which I didn't eat. Wasted an hour of my life & gas. No apology or goodwill. They said the manager made it but had to leave for an emergency at another Donatos as if their excuse justified the inconvenience they handed me. I wouldn't have posted this if they apologized, or had some goodwill, or responded to their useless survey. In addition to that, the wait to pick up a prepaid order with tip takes longer than ordering on-site at any other restaurant. You would be crazy to tip ahead there. read more

Usually we are partial to non-chain/franchise pizza's but we have been seeing a lot of action on Social Media with positive feedback so we gave Donatos a shot. Pros: Convenient location with plenty of parking. Lots of staff, perhaps even too much. Even though you ordered at the counter if you dine in, they bring the food to your table and the manager even came by to check on our satisfaction. Cons: I'm pretty sure they forgot our order, or perhaps thought we were a carry out. We waited a little over 30 minutes for our pizza, and after a staff member stopped by asking if we had gotten it yet (acting a little surprised when asking the question), we heard a bustle of activity and it came out shortly after that. Dine in is limited with only 3 booths total in the main area. They did have a "community room" that was also open with additional seating and perhaps additional tables will be added to the main area after COVID restrictions are loosened. The pizza itself was pretty good. We enjoyed it more then something like a Domino's or Pizza Hut, but as picky pizza people I wouldn't put it on par with a family pizza restaurant. I'd consider this a solid take out choice, but not our family's cup of tea for dinning out. Give it a shot, again, much of the social buzz is strong. read more

I stopped in for a quick lunch. I was the ONLY customer in the entire place and I could see that there was zero activity in the kitchen and no takeout orders prepared for pickup, so I knew they were very slow. I now know why. I ordered a sandwich, was told it would be about 15 minutes. I sat down in the dining area. I waited, and waited, and waited. Twice I went to the counter. Twice I was told, "just a few more minutes". 25 minutes after I ordered my sandwich, I was given a small, greasy looking pizza. I took it back and got a refund (I hope). My entire lunch break was wasted because 3 teenagers and an adult couldn't seem to make a simple sandwich. Pathetic. The only positive was everyone was friendly, but I think I'd prefer to have grumpy people giving me the right food quickly instead of friendly people wasting my entire lunch break then giving me the wrong food. read more

I'm only 2 miles from the location I order from and they will quoted a 1 hour delivery time. It was a half hour late, and cold. Tonight was my last. Pizza is pretty good, we always ask for light sauce, so it wasn't greasy. I do like the thin crust though.....cheese bread has a really nasty taste, almost like a gross beer taste.. This restaurant did not mandate people to wear masks as several had none despite pandemic. Place was way to small to social distance as people were standing in line. Kids behind counter were running into each other. I understand first week in business but it was chaotic. Why would you have someone who ordered on line sign a credit card slip. Oh- only one pen and pens not disinfected between customers. Pizza was burned on the bottom. Agiago cheese bread was actually raw! Salad was small and not worth the price.
