I love the idea of Big Lots - you come here to save and get deals on furniture and other houseware…read moreitems. They even sell groceries here. I came here on a Saturday (30 September 2017) looking for lamps for my living room. After walking around trying to find lamps, I finally found someone to assist me. The employee told me that they had run out of lamps so there weren't any for sale. He pointed at the area where the lamps normally would be located. He probably could have explained better when more lamps may return but at that point, it didn't matter because I needed to buy a lamp that day. Besides not finding a lamp, this store; however, is clean and ideal for those looking for reasonably priced furniture. I remember living in Columbus (Ohio) and actually purchasing a LoveSeat from Big Lots after someone had told me that they sell furniture. It was a beautiful (gray) and quality style loveseat which I had to sell when I moved to Cleveland in August of this year. So you can find a great couch/sofa here. Overall, the customer service at the furniture section could have been better here but I still ended up leaving with some great bakery items (organic Coconut Flour and Organic Cocount Sugar) and other snacks.

The store itself is well set up, clean and well organized. Because of the location this store gets higher quality donations, and higher end items. The store has two colors each week, one color is half off, the other is 75% off. The store is organized with 2 levels of clothing, I have found a number of nice shirts and suit jackets here including a really cool Las Vegas themed jacket that was virtually new. I also find interesting art and decor pieces at this store. The back half of the store has the art, kitchen ware, electronics, toys, sporting goods and other assorted stuff. It is also well worth your time to check out the glass counters with the jewelry and the higher end items on the shelves behind them; this is where you can find some of the really premium finds. Looking at some of the other Yelp reviews it seems that since the VOA moved from down the road some people are disappointed since the current store is generally more expensive, but for me it seems that there is still really good value here, the question is whether you want to pay a bit more for better purchases. I really like this thrift store, one of the best looking, best organized stores with great values, you just might not find really cheap stuff.

There are days and times when it is not crowded at all, hence why some of the businesses close up shop. But it makes it inconvenient for customers who sometimes just have to gamble that the place they want to visit is open. All of that being said, I still enjoy Market 42. The businesses are all small and local, no large chains. They have a variety of food options, coffee, ice cream, and a bar. It is not overly crowded, so it's a great spot to catch on work or spend time with friends in a newer, clean building. Goldberry Coffee apparently just closed, so that is a big loss in my opinion. Now I'll have to find a new stop for my coffee here. Any suggestions? Give Market 42 a shot. It's a cool place that if things start to iron out, could become a hot spot in Brunswick.

I currently use there brand of artists loft sketch markers which are decent quality. They also have copic markers in the front and a bigger quantity than other craft stores i've been to. They also have a lot of crafts options for all ages and some cool toys too. The workers at this store are pretty friendly. I will continue to visit michaels and buy things here.

The store was clean and bright. It was not crowded at all. There was a decent selection of most things. The produce section was the first thing I saw and I was surprised at how fresh food looked. The tea selection was pretty bad, but I did find one tea to try. The staff was helpful and kind and even suggested items that were on sale. If I ever find myself in the area, I will absolutely return.

It is my go to store. As I travel around many places I find myself wishing there was a Drug Mart…read morearound. One thing I have noticed, as they build new stores, they are bigger. There is an older store near me that just has the basic necessities like milk, bread, hot dogs, OJ, toothpaste etc. But on one trip I went to a new store it had a bakery, meat market, deli, and it was huge. If you didn't find it there, you don't need it. The staff in all their stores is pleasant and helpful.
