Enjoying deli..cious sandwiches with a stunning boardwalk view... count me in!…read more The Boardwalk Deli is the quick service option at the Boardwalk Resort for Disney. Is it high quality? Yes, the food is great. Is it themed excellence? Yes, this is a destination... on a nice day though. Boardwalk has no quick service option inside of the building, so if it is a cold morning or rainy... you are trekking down the ambience to get your food through the elements. That's the only reason I moved it down to 4 We grabbed a chocolate croissant, coffee, orange and breakfast sandwich through mobile order. The order was prepared right on time and they do a great job of making it easy to grab!

With excited, hungry hopes after a red eye flight, my family and I scurried over to the Boardwalk Deli excited for the usual resort quick service options of Mickey waffles, eggs, bacon, and typical quick service options the WDW resorts have to offer. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Breakfast sandwiches (mostly on limited bagel choices) and pastries were all they served. They were above average tasting, so taste was not that big of a factor. Totally bummed out at the lackluster choices for breakfast, we ordered what we needed to satisfy our hunger and had high hopes for the other meals of the days during the rest of our stay. To our dismay, the choices during lunch and dinner were also really disappointing. (Avoid the grilled cheese. Completely disappointing!) We ended up only utilizing the deli to fill our refillable drink cups during the trip. For what it's worth, the Boardwalk Deli did have the mobile order or standby options available. There are no inside options to sit down and eat your food, so rain or heat, you can only sit in the outside tables and chairs along the Boardwalk if you don't want to take the food back to your room to eat. Everything about our stay at the Boardwalk Villas was amazing except the Quick Service options. With a baby in tow now, our days are a little bit different and we find ourselves not spending every second at the parks. Having a solid quick service option on property is important. This was the only con of the property for us.

We ordered the Quiche Lorraine, filled with ham and Gruyere cheese which they warmed up before serving. The buttery, flaky crust gave way to a rich, silky custard that was packed with savory flavor. The Gruyere added a wonderful nutty depth while the ham brought just the right amount of saltiness to balance everything out. For dessert, we shared the Raspberry Macaron with Lime Cream. The macaron shells had a delicate crisp exterior with a soft, chewy center, while the filling delivered a bright combination of tart raspberry and refreshing lime. It wasn't overwhelmingly sweet, allowing the fruit flavors to really shine. It was a light, refreshing finish after the richness of the quiche. This bakery delivers on both quality and flavor. Everything tasted fresh, beautifully prepared, perfect for a relaxing break from the bustle outside.

After waiting in line for five to ten minutes, it was our turn to order. We discussed the available options with the server and decided on the Macaron Trio, Apple n Brie, and Framboise. Our food arrived quickly, within five minutes. It was delicious and satisfying, providing us with the energy we needed to continue exploring the park's other attractions. It was a great place to stop, especially with its variety of sweet treat options.

The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and had the best vibes. The best part about our experience here was our server. He was awesome and truly is what we love about being at Disney. We unfortunately did not catch his name but was one of the few servers still there right before closing. On top of that, the food is delicious! The star of the show was the velvet chicken noodle soup. It had so much flavor and had the same texture as clam chowder but with chicken bits. The onion soup also had so much flavor and so cheesy! The angel hair pasta was good for the price and the portion was huge but could have had a little more flavor. The steak was also cooked to a perfect medium rare. The drinks here were also great. We ordered the cosmo and espresso martini which tasted pretty strong. The raspberry champagne cake was a must for us. It was so moist and tasted so fresh. The best part of our experience was when our server took the time to pixie dust us and had us make a wish at the table. Truly such an amazing experience and we appreciated that he took the time to do that right before closing. Thank you Cake Bake Shop!

They've got a nice enough $22 sharable slice of cake ...but our experience at the quick-service…read morebakery wasn't exactly all pixie dust and fairy like. There's some limited patio seating (which isn't exactly becoming of a place for eating ridiculously expensive cake) and the straws aren't long enough for the drinks once the ice doesn't prop them up. Just sayin'. Butt for me, though, whatever was supposed to be special about this place, this experience, was lost with buggery hospitality, stoopid house rules/queue mechanics, and managerial apathy. So, I was here filling someone else's prescription for happiness and thought a beer would help dissolve my sticker shock but that only made things worse. You see, they basically card you twice, once at the point you order and again at the point of sale. It's sort of unusual to be carded in Florida anyway and I've never been carded twice within a few seconds of each other by two different employees standing a few feet apart from one another. It's not like I'm 20 something, I haven't been carded in forever. Anyway, it wasn't so much the inconveniece or how unusual it was, but it was like they were @#$%ing with me by the way they asked. Like they've got some Simon Says Squid Games thing going on. And because I half-heartedly balked about it in a teasing way because I didn't understand the kind of thing that was going on around me, it became awkward for them and so I changed my mind. Anyway, it became a whole thing and the manager had to get involved holding up the line just to take it off the check ...even though I hadn't yet paid for or received said beer. Was a dumbo experience all the way around and put a bad taste in my mouth. Didn't help the manager slinked in and treated us like mannequins who should only be so lucky to shop here. Anyway, whatever.
