Once through the paths, you come out to the small-ish lake where there's a path that leads you all the way around, with plenty of opportunities to go back out to another path. It was semi-busy when we went during a weekday afternoon, but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I'd like to come back with my bike and to bring my dog back to possibly swim. I saw a swimming area, but people were fishing nearby, and I knew that my dog would ruin their game! Lovely for a solo / family or date outing on a sunny afternoon or sunsetting evening.

I often play spikeball here with my friends too, and it's a great space for that. The park always feels clean, and there's usually plenty of parking, which makes it super convenient. That said, a few weeks ago during Steel Days, they held a carnival at the park, and it was packed. Parking was really difficult to find with so many people there. But outside of special events like that, it's usually not a problem. Overall, it's a great place to hang out, get some fresh air, and enjoy time with friends and family.

Bark is what you will start out on and then turn to a single track sandy trail. There are many off shoot trails and you can easily go from one trail to another accidentally. Not to worry, you can't get lost. All roads lead to home (parking lot) or your home if your lucky enough to live in one of the houses that line the bark trail. No shade on these trails, an evening walk would be perfect with the fantastic sunsets we have. This trail meanders until you get to Dimple Dell Park which has a playground for the younger kids, and a pavilion for family outings. Most of the trail is single file and is the perfect trail for all, including horses, bikers, runners, dogs on leash and the slow poke like me. *Dogs allowed on leash. I grew up just up the road, so I found my teenage self here plenty of times. Meeting up with the ladies. You know how I be. These days it's more of an attraction for the tennis courts or pavilion. But either way, it's a big park with lots to do. If you like to run, but don't want to map a route around the neighborhood, they do have a nice, paved jogging path around the whole park. You'll probably have to fight with the stroller moms a bit (this is suburbia, after all) but it's a nice alternative to wandering around the 'hoods or bustling on busy roads. A small playground sits near the pavilion and parking area. It's a little tricky to get there. I just used to climb down the hill from Sterling Drive, but that's probably not going to work via the family sedan. From Sterling Drive (accessed quickly from 9400 S.) you can turn east on Plata Way and get to the parking lot by turning left at the park.

They kept the "castle park" feel (that's what i called it as a kid), but made it more all-abilities friendly. It's well built, cute and fun for all ages. The bathrooms are decent. They have automated flushing toilets and faucets, no mirrors, but functional and open. There are baseball fields across the parking lot as well. Great park.

I "wood-n't" be lying if I said it's lost it's cool and while it has shadows of the past with fun equipment all of it is waaay too hot on a sunny day! My 2 year old tried climbing on the equipment and started to scream when she sat down trying to go down a slide that was waaay too hot! Another young toddler had the same thing happen to her. We arrived at the roughly same time as 3 other family and all of us left within 10 minutes because the equipment was too hot. To some extent I get it's out of anyone's control but there is playground equipment that is less conductive of heat creating a better experience for everyone.

If you come from out of town it's $10 parking. If you live in Springville you get a free parking pass but you have to get it from the town hall. I did notice they have great bathrooms and changing rooms you can use there!
