This is my second time here since its right in front of the hotel and really like it. This is a true tex mex- fresh made chips and salsa, friendly attentive staff, and a large area to eat with a great menu. The bar has smoking but is on the other side and they have an outside patio with live music- so they aim to please. Like the layout. Had 3 of us to eat and we were tired, not really hungry so got a cold beer, ate some chips and made our selection. One had the fajitas- chicken- and we all should have ordered it or just shared hers. ! Huge portion and tons of chicken, homemade fresh guac, hot flour tortillas- these were really good. I had the cuban...Not sure why but when I saw it and really didn't want mexican - go the cuban and fries. It was not a true cuban as I"m not sure it had all the right pieces ( I couldn't taste the pickle, the pulled pork was the key meat) but it was good. No great- but ok. I loved the small steak and shake style fries which i woofed down so all in all it was pressed, I've had better but it was good. My other buddy got the fish tacos. He said they were great! I didn't try one but the waiter is very attentive, great service, kept us lubricated with beverages which never ran dry, so have to say this will be a standard when working near Pelham. The waitress's were really cute and made the view even better- but well managed place. Will be back and do recommend especially if you are hungry!! read more

Met up with someone for happy hour here. I can't comment on the food, because I didn't eat, BUT. . . THE DRINKS! Are super amazing! The vodka cherry limeade is beyond radical. May be my new favorite mix drink. The margaritas are freshly made(none of that nasty sour mix) the authentic way. Bartenders were really nice too. Great place to go to escape from kids, with a good friend, for a few hours. I'll definitely be back and leave a food review next time lol. read more

I'm kind of surprised that I haven't written a review for Margarita Grill yet. Plenty of parking around the building. Large outdoor seating area, spacious bar, and main restaurant has plenty of booth and table seating. Staff is quick to greet you when you walk through the door. Always friendly and quick to get you to your seat. Chips and salsa arrive as you set your things down (A+ for speed). Drink orders are also taken and delivered quickly. Really good sweet tea! Today I tried the Hawaiian Punch. Great vodka based drink. Really flavorful...goes down really smooth on a hot summer day. Also, didn't have to ask, but a water was also brought out with my drink. Really good menu and I haven't had any issues with anything they serve. They have the most unique smoke flavored chicken I have ever had at a Mexican restaurant. Today I had the Ensalada de Mesquite - $9.99 - Cool, crisp lettuce, mesquite-grilled chicken with crunchy tortilla strips. (steak or shrimp can be subbed for an additional charge). They have so many good options on the menu! Tacos al Carbon, Fajitas, Crunchy Tacos (w/Chicken are really good) and Chimichanga are all really good. Lunch specials are served daily between 11:00 and 3:00 (even on the weekend) and are discounted from the dinner menu. About as close to a five star rating as can be given. I need to go back and check out some of the live tunes...they have somebody almost every day. read more

Solid four stars here. I started off with a Lagunitas on tap with chips and salsa. The salsa is very good and the chips are light and flaky. Beer was cold and the bartender was spot on. I ordered the beef enchiladas a la carte and the meat had good flavor but not over powering. They were served within five minutes and piping hot. In and out in thirty minutes for less than $18, with tip. Live music sets a good vibe. Parking might be a challenge but there's a reason, good food and service. read more

I get it. They have decent margaritas but that's it. 2nd time was supposed to be a "charm" but that fairytale never happened.... This place is normal, festive, bright colors Mexican joint. After a while, they all start looking the same. Menu is small and typical and very over priced. I ordered a side item of a cheese enchilada. It was good, just queso and flour tortilla cooked. Guacamole was tasty, a little to many jalapeños but still good. Ordered 2 Negro Modelos and cashed out. Ticket was $30 bucks for 2 beers, dip and cheese. Waiter was not interested in serving us and was basically nonexistent and the place was pretty dead for the lunch time crowd. I was happy to leave to say the least for that kind of money. I wouldn't put this on to go list with your family unless you want to spend an easy $100 bucks. read more

Margarita grill never disappoints! Consistently good, hot, fresh and fast food. Ordered their guacamole- made fresh at table side and you can opt out of anything that's not your liking. I order extra cilantro because I love that stuff! Chips are some of the best I've had - light, thin, crispy, always fresh and warm! Hands down fantastic! Salsa is the same- great flavors and doesn't have that overdone tomato paste flavor at all! We ordered the chicken fajitas. Came to the table quick sizzling on an iron skillet. The one thing I do love about Margarita Grill is the way they cook their meat! They have a delicious smoked grilled way of doing it so no matter what you get - the meat will be seasoned great- no need for sauces to cover or create a flavor! Fajitas came with onion, pepper, grilled chicken, tomato on the iron skillet. Lettuce, pico, avocado on the side with 3 hot tortillas wrapped in foil. I do wish they'd serve extra shells up front but you can ask for more and they will bring it! Today I didn't get a margarita but they do have a variety of flavors, including low calorie ones, that are very good, generous portions and are not stingy with the tequila :) One of my favorite Mexican restaurants to visit read more

First time here stayed at Fairfield inn so we could walk over in a couple minutes. We ordered top shelf margaritas and they were perfec. For dinner I had the tilapa dinner which came with rice beans soup and guacamole salad. It was delicious. Hubby burrito witch he loved. Great place and not priced to high. Great food. Fresh cooked chicken not frozen off the bone. Great staff! I had the Pollo Asoda and it was great! I usually don't care about the rice but his was fluffy and fresh. My customer had chicken quesadilla and it was huge with real pulled chicken not shredded or frozen and heated up. First time here and it won't be my lasts. My server Bruna was awesome. Ahhh people. This is just a bar. This is not a good place to eat Mexican food. If you want that, go somewhere else. My husband and I had chips and salsa, cheese dip, and the large beef nachos. Plus I had a side of guac. The chips were stale. Greasy. And just blah. The salsa had no zip to it. The nachos were not overwhelmingly bad nor good. Maybe using stale chips hurt the overall effect for us. The queso was blah too. Not sure how you can mess up white melted cheese. But this place manages to. Plus side. Lots of seating. Lots of TVs. They had good chips, they were thin and crispy. The food was like average americanized mexican food. The main reason I refuse to give them a 4 star review is because the service just wasn't there. We stood in the front for 5-10 min to be seated (they weren't even busy). We had to wait for a while for our food, not a terribly long time but long enough to notice. Another big reason for only 3 stars is because they were better when I came the first time a couple months ago, which could just be the specific staff but I was really just hoping it would be as good as it was the first time. Switch & Bait. We had a party of 8 that arrived Sunday around 5pm. We asked if there were any specials. The hostess and our server both told us margaritas and Budweiser products were reduced. Margaritas were priced at $5, so almost everyone order margaritas. When my bill came the margaritas were priced at $7.25 each, i was charged $29 vs $20 for 4 drinks. Complaints fell on deaf ears, we were told then by the manager that happy hour was only Monday thru Friday. This was a bad experience and we'll never eat here again. This is the worst Mexican restaurant I have ever been too. You would think for $25 the burrito would have some flavor but there wasn't any. They put so much cheese on the outside it was not edible or flavorful. The prices are ridiculous and you will find better Mexican food at a Chili's. The only thing we got that was good was the churro so that is why they got 1 star. It was close to our hotel but would rather eat gas station burrito than go back there. read more

Margarita Grill is my family's go to restaurant in town and frequent a few times a month. Between my husband and I we've tried at least half the menu and haven't been disappointed. Fan favorites for us include the Jody's Gold Chicken & the Crazy Felipe. The made at the table guacamole is a must as well! I love the outdoor patio with lively music. My one year old loves the music and the people watching. Who doesn't love dinner and a show?! Great food, drinks, and atmosphere! read more

We were traveling through and wanted to eat at a local, not chain restaurant, so this was closest to our hotel. Seating us was quick but service was not friendly at all. The chips and salsa given upon seating were not good. Salsa had little flavor, no heat at all and the chips tasted of rancid oil to both of us. My boyfriend and I had the chicken fajitas which were, we agreed, very bland. There was no preparation to them and it was like they cooked the chicken and dropped it on top of some bell peppers & onions and a tomato slide (we wondered if the chicken was boiled since there was no char to the chicken and it almost just melted in your mouth - no texture & no flavor at all). We had to wave our waiter down a couple of times for refills on drinks and waters. We thought the chicken fajitas price was expensive at $16.99 each and the seafood fajitas (Fajitas Del Mar) were $29.95 per entree. We requested some corn tortillas along with the flour and they charged $.50 for the extra tortillas. Fajitas came with rice and refried beans. The beans were stretched with flour and why would you stretch refried beans? They're cheap and easy. The rice was delicious and was the best part of the meal. The plus side was the Coors Light was cheap (I think $1.99) and they had several TVs to watch, if you're interested in TV. The bar area of the restaurant (which included an outdoor area) was smoking section but the restaurant indoors was not smoking. read more

I've heard good things from Margarita grill's customers. I was excited to try it so I got some to go food from Margarita Grill. They do close at 11 PM and I did place an order at 10 PM which they gladly took the order. Upon returning to the business 15 minutes later to pick up my food I asked if I could add some dessert on to my to go order she made me feel very uncomfortable and said that it would be very hard for her to add a dessert to the order which wouldn't even have to be prepared since Flan is served from the cooler. Either way it would've made the perfect ending to my meal the food was good but I would've loved to been able to try desert and would not have liked to feel like I was uncouth for for asking if I could add something on to my ticket upon picking up my order. read more

Very good service. Had my water filled repeatedly and never had to ask once. The chips are absolutely delicious - thin, crispy, and come to the table warm! Went with a party of 7 and we each got our own little salsa container. Salsa was chunky and fresh tasting with the perfect amount of spice. Both the chips and salsa were repeatedly filled before even being empty. I definitely ate way too many chips here! For an appetizer we tried the queso with chorizo. Got the large portion which ended up being way too much but it was delicious. Creamy cheese with spicy chunks of chorizo. I love chorizo!! For my entree I got the carnitas. All I can say is o"h my god." The chunks of pork were huge and juicy inside while being crunchy on the outside. The flavoring was just perfect. The beans were delicious as was the rice. I enjoyed mixing my fresh pico de gallo with the rice. Yum. There was also a side of guacamole but this wasn't really anything special unfortunately. Other things ordered by the table included the beef taco salad, a burrito, pollo asada, and fish tacos. Everyone was very very pleased. The portions here are huge. We all had enough for leftovers. Oh and I almost forgot to mention the happy hour! Included cheap beer (not sure of the prices) and $4 margs. I tried the original and the strawberry which were both so yummy. Chips and salsa are great, service is great. Food is average, nothing special. I got a chimichanga in the small size with rice and beans. The chimichanga was over cooked and was far more tortilla than fillings. The menu has been redone since my last visit about a year or so ago and the prices are unreal for regular Mexican food. This place is popular so I guess others don't mind exorbitant prices for average food. My small chimichanga, rice, and beans, with tip was $30 and that's simply ridiculous.
