QDOBA is your new utopian chipotle. In what alternate universe are guac and queso free toppings? QDOBA offers build your own bowls, salads, burritos, tacos, nachos, and quesadillas with FREE gauc and queso. This was my first trip here, and honestly it exceeded my expectations. The inside was incredibly clean and we were immediately greeted. I ordered be build your own salad, which came with the option of a fried tortilla bowl (also free)- say yes, you won't regret it! I got the birria brisket as my protein and then added almost every topping offered. My boyfriend ordered a build your own bowl with steak and lots of toppings as well. I downloaded the app and signed up for the rewards program, as you can redeem a free chips and queso side upon registering. Overall, the food was delicious and all the toppings tasted super fresh! I am definitely returning.

The downtown area already has several fast Mexican places, but I was ready for a Qdoba since we've never had one around us! I was disappointed the first time I had it, but I gave them more chances and can say I've been pleasantly surprised! The queso and queso diablo are amazing! Their chips are really good too! My go to has been the mini burrito bowls lately! It's the perfect amount of food that you just can't get at Moe's or Chipotle for a fraction of the price!

Quick service and good food. Price is reasonable for the amount of food too. The place is clean. I sat and ate my meal there

Wow! A spot-on real deal Mexican restaurant in the outskirts of Tuscaloosa! Who would have thunk…read moreit? OK, we're big-time Tex-Mex food fans, but we find it quite difficult to find high-quality Tex-Mex or even Mexican restaurants in the US south outside of Texas. This place is a game changer. When we stopped here, we were prepared to be disappointed in issuing two or three star rating at the most. Every single item we ordered was tasty and delectable. Our entrées were Carne Asada; and, Shrimp of the Devil (Camerones el Diablo). Both were fresh, tasty, and delicious. The shrimp were prepared in a special hot sauce, which was in an of itself, delectable (but only if you have a big glass of water to drink). My wife liked it so much she just wanted to taste the sauce! We weren't going to have dessert, but after watching several dessert pass by via the waitress to other tables, we decided order Flan and a mixture of a sopsvilla with fried ice cream. Ugh! Spectacular! If you're in the Tuscaloosa area, go and enjoy. It's worth it. Prices are reasonable. There's a happy hour for drinks. We had two margaritas each: very very good. This restaurant is located directly across the street from brand new Holiday Inn in Tuscaloosa at Cottondale, AL 35453.

Love when new businesses can repurpose one's closing. This one used to be a Pizza Hut!…read more It's a simple and traditional Mexican restaurant atmosphere, with tables, booths, and a full bar w/ bar seating. Even with a few staff, they're very efficient. My waitress was sweet and prompt. I was hungry & craving good Mexican food and this spot did just that. Also, noticed yelp & google are lacking so... here ya go! I ordered the Pepe Special, 1 Carne Asada street taco, and 1 chicken flauta. Everything was hot, fresh, and tasty! I wasn't a big fan of their corn tortilla for the street taco but, that's a preference. All this for less than $20!!!! Take a moment, and stop in for lunch or dinner. You won't be disappointed.
