After going through the crowds at Bayside Marketplace, we finally arrived at the restaurant and walked upstairs after we checked in to be seated. We sat near the glass view of the water and the Skyview. Our waitress came promptly and took our order. It took unusually long for our food to come out seeing that there was a light crowd there on a Saturday evening. It finally arrived after the waitress saw that we were looking around after about a half hour and she told us it would be out shortly. The chicken tinga tacos were delicious! It came with a side of rice and beans. The Cajun shrimp dip was flavorful as well. It took a while to get our bill, which I don't understand why the reason was for it. Stopped in one afternoon after some events and wandering around BaySide mainly because of the name. Well, it was okay, I guess. Not great, but okay. The place wasn't really clean, but it wasn't really dirty either. We sat outside and the waiter had to keep running back inside, so he didn't actually pass our table all that often -- which means our service was a bit slow and my glass was empty more than once. I decided to get the incommunicado, which was Margaritaville Gold Tequila and Silver Rum, Margaritaville Triple Sec, Wheatly Vodka, gin, our house sweet & sour, cranberry and pineapple juices with a splash of grenadine for $12. My friend ordered a Margarita and a side of fries. After another ten minutes, the bartender came over and asked what I order was again because he forgot.... Ten minutes after we assumed he put our order in. The drinks were good, very sweet and I don't even believe there was anything other than mixer in my friends drink because it was that sweet. My drink was refreshing and I could taste the alcohol but it was definitely not worth the price. The fries were good and had a nice seasoning to them. They were served hot and thankfully fresh but for the $6 it was not worth the amount given. As soon as we got our drinks, he already was back with the check and left us until we were ready to pay. We than understood why the guy didn't care about service because they had a gratuity automatically included. When we paid and he cane back he thanked us and then mentioned there was a spot for additional gratuity. Absolutely not. We paid, signed the check and left. It looked old and slimy. I could not believe they were willing to serve food to customers in that condition. My mom was grossed out by it too. I ordered my steak medium rare, and it came out mostly well done. I took a little bite of it just to try it and it was very salty and disgusting. The mashed potatoes and green beans that came with it weren't good either. I had to send back the food and they let me order something else. I ordered some kind of shrimp dip with bread I think, and that was also very salty and didn't taste that great. At least we were not charged for the steak, but it was a disappointing dinner overall. There's a lot of small shops, restaurants, and bars in this area, which is pretty cool spot to visit. I had made a reservation, but it wasn't needed as it was pretty empty for a Sunday. That have a few TVs on, but no audio. We decided to share the nachos which was plenty, but I will say we had to order an extra side of cheese because the nachos in the bottom were dry. It took an extra 10 minutes to get this side of cheese , which was too long considering there wasn't anyone else they had to tend to. I ordered a drink but can't remember the name. It had a good sweetness to it but didn't pack the taste of a margarita with alcohol. I like drinks with a good balance. Overall ok experience. Service really lacked. Didn't get checked on at all. Great location. Everything on the menu is spelled properly. That's about all the good I can say. Part of this is my fault, when I came in the hostess (when she came back to the hostess stand) was like "oh I don't know guys I think it's like a 30 minute wait". We said oh okay that's fine, she pulled out a random piece of paper and asked us to write our name and number down. That should've tipped me off. They asked us if we wanted inside or outside, and then someone came over and said something and then they asked us "is a booth okay?" We said sure, and they immediately sat us at a normal table, not a booth. Twenty minutes later they took our order and 45 minutes later we left. Of the four drinks we ordered, three were correct (sorry I should've listed that as a positive above). The A/C was cranked up so high we all had sweatshirts on. The staff walked around, and there was one guy really working hard, but the others seemed to just walk around, I never saw them like carry anything anywhere. It was a 'seat yourself' dining room where waitresses would pass our table as though we didn't exist. After ten minutes one stopped over, seemed irritated we were only ordering drinks, and after delivering said drinks didn't come back. Another one came by to drop off the bill. I love Margaritaville, but this one is the worst. By far. I started downstairs around dinner time. Went to the bar and the tall white bartender had an absolute look of disgust. It was off putting. He was on his phone for awhile. We didn't get served by him or the other bartender. We went upstairs and tried the upstairs bar and finally got service. Nick was very welcoming, and gave us recommendations for beaches, but the first 10 minutes downstairs left us with a sour taste in our system. We ALMOST went back after the Ferris wheel to go back up stairs, but decided we couldn't bare to see the rude bartenders any more. The place is hot, the air conditioners have mold next to them and the bartenders downstairs make this the worst experience ever. I came here after my exam one day as I was craving some seafood. The items on the menu looked appetizing so I gave it a shot. I have heard about Margaritaville mainly through products like shirts, cups or drinks but this was my first time seeing the restaurant. It started out alright, as I was seated pretty quickly. It took a while for someone to approach me for water or even place my order so that was a bit annoying. The crab cakes were calling my name so when someone came, I put that order in. At the time my phone was dying so I also asked the server if they could charge my phone or if they had a phone charger. Most of the time when I ask the restaurant, they will say yes and just charge it behind the bar counter or somewhere else in the restaurant but my server said no. I asked him if there was an outlet that I could use and he said no. I looked over and saw an outlet in the distance and felt a bit disgruntled. Another server passed by and I asked if I could use the outlet and pointed to it and they said of course. Maybe my guy was just having a bad day. The crab cakes arrived and they were tiny with a slight crisp to them. I've had crab cakes at other places and they are never that tiny for the price. 35$ for that is quite insane. I think being downtown Miami doesn't help either. The taste was alright, good flavor on the crab cakes but the string beans were too sweet with the sauce they had on it and the fries were bland. If you're going here, you're probably already a Parrothead and know what to expect, but if tiki trop-rock vibes are your scene, this is it. We were sitting outside but moved inside when it started to rain, and honestly the bay view windows on the second floor make a strong case for sitting inside. I actually think the food here is pretty good, and the Cheeseburger in Paradise is a pretty solid burger. You'd of course be remiss not to get a margarita here and there are plenty to choose from. I wish I could've brought the sun back with me because it's so cold in the "D". However, it was pretty nice on the inside. There was a leak coming from the ceiling though, not too far from where we were sitting and eating. The food was decent. They weren't the best fish tacos I ever had but they weren't disappointing. My boyfriend, friends and I visited this bayside restaurant over the weekend. It was quite packed and busy. The location was good. Right by the ferris wheel, pier and next to lots of shopping. We were super hungry and ordered bunch of appetisers for the table. French fries, onion rings, wings and a huge glass of Pina Colada. The apps were hot fresh and crispy to our liking.
