Yay to Margaritaville right here in NYC! I came on a Thursday evening after work for a quick drink and bite before heading to see an off broadway play. I have to say this location in Times Square is sweet cause it's in the heart of the hustle and bustle and convenient to make a stop on your journey in NYC. I was impressed by the loads of spaces in this restaurant and the tiki bar section. I conveniently sat at the bar and was welcomed by a really cool bartender. I totally enjoyed a watermelon margarita drink and an order of fish tacos. Loved everything so much. Ahh the fish tacos hit the spot - super flavorful and filling! Yum! In the area on a summer Friday, so I thought I'd stop in but friend couldn't meet up. So, I went it alone! No wait at the bar so I ordered there. I finally, got a chance to stop in. It wasn't worth the hype. The food was salty. I know it's commercial boxed food hahaha what did I expect? The bar waiter who's like 6'2" rarely checked on me nor gave eye contact to see if I needed anything. A few times he was only feet's away from me. My friends were doing a challenge of having a drink on each of the 6 floors that had bars, but two of them were closed, which was a bit disappointing. Overall the drinks and food were good. The view on the rooftop bar was nice. The espress yo sef martini was the best cocktail, while the truffle fries and charcuterie board were good snacks (although portions were pretty small). The rooftop has plenty of seating outside Saturday evening, but as it was chilly we opted for inside, which had more limited seated. We were able to snag the last table for the five of us though and bring some more chairs for it. The Statue of Liberty in the restaurant was pretty fun. read more

I booked this hotel for mine and my daughter's birthday to go see the 9/11 memorial, American girl, etc. we spent one night and had a premium room with a city view. The room is small but cozy, beautiful view, clean, the staff are all very nice. The location was great. We ate by the pool and got drinks. We had the breakfast (which we got food vouchers for but still ended up paying more for). The service was very slow-at both places, the food was not bad but not good. Burnt, etc. I was disappointed in that. And expensive too. The pool was really cool, but seating is limited. Also wear water shoes or sandals. The ground is HOT! The view from the rooftop bar was so gorgeous. But no kids at nighttime, unfortunately. I would come again and definitely recommend. Parking was confusing, I googled and even called the hotel and still ended up parking in the wrong garage, haha. But they honored the hotel's price. $45 for overnight. They will hold your luggage for you if you still want to explore after checkout which is nice. read more

I came here for an adventure after seeing the YouTube video where these brothers tried every Margaritaville in America. I was surprised intrigued by the giant Statue of Liberty statue holding a giant margarita but I was hoping the vibes would also be larger than life. I was hoping for a fun silly time. Instead we had very long wait times to be seated even though the restaurant wasn't busy, a waitress that was very hard to get a hold of, and the vibes were overall more low key than expected! For our food we got the seafood platter and fish tacos, and both were not very good, unfortunately, and were quite pricey! I was hoping to find a silly little enclave of peace and weirdness in the middle of Times Square but instead it's disappointing beyond the photos! read more

This was a very fun place to visit. The hotel is very large, with more than 30 floors. The top two floors feature a rooftop bar with amazing views of the city. The restaurant has great food and also offers happy hour, which makes it a great place to come with friends to drink. Even though it's located in the middle of Times Square, the hotel really gives you a resort vibe. There is also a rooftop pool there as well. I had the chance to view one of the standard rooms, and it was very nice. The room also offers a beautiful view of the city. The room I view was on the small side but I'm sure they have bigger rooms. My friends and I had never been to Margaritaville, so we decided to come for dinner. While it was busy, the restaurant is pretty big and we didn't have to wait to be seated. We each had a different cocktail and all of them were good but STRONG. I had the "perfect" margarita. While I don't like ice in my margaritas, it was wonderful. We shared the Cuban flatbread as an appetizer, which was topped with carnitas, ham, Swiss cheese, and pickles. For my meal, I had the Greek salad with chicken. I was pleasantly surprised with the food; everything tasted great. Our waitress was nice but the service was incredibly slow. We were a group of three and we were in the restaurant for about three hours. If you're counting, that's three times watching the special light show. read more

We hosted our daughter's 9th birthday sleepover at Margaritaville Times Square and had a great experience overall. The service was smooth, friendly, and accommodating, which made hosting a group of kids much easier and stress-free. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and most importantly, the kids had an absolute blast. The only downside was some noise outside my room in the middle of the night (my room was near the elevator bank), which was a bit disruptive to my sleep. My room was very small and I couldn't really do what I needed to do. Me and my wife were on top of each other during the stay. You check in on the 7th floor and go to your room. They delivered my package to my room promptly and I appreciate that. We ordered a bottle of Rosé at the restaurant and it was $58- wow. The room was clean and it didn't have an iron, it had a small steamer that spilled Hot water on my clothes. There was not enough space for me and my wife to put our suitcases in the closet. They did, however clean our room daily. The shower didn't have a door it was an open one. The tv was large and the bed was comfy. Then, we needed to stay an extra few days and the room was $461 a night starting Monday. I don't think that the small room was worth that on a Monday. read more

Had a staycation with a friend over the weekend and this truly made me feel like I was away from NYC while being in the heart of it. The beauty decor took me away to an island that's not Manhattan and it was a very comfortable stay. The only food we did have was a coffee from their kiosk but it was still really good. read more

I came by one evening for a drink by myself to decompress after the week. I had heard they have a stellar rooftop so I made my way up a series of elevators (the employees weren't the most straightforward with me as to which floor was actually the rooftop, I believe the floors were labeled in a way that made it a bit vague, so it took a few tries). The rooftop was a touch confusing because there wasn't exactly a sense of how to go about ordering a cocktail and finding a seat, you were kinda on your own, but there still seemed to be servers around so I'm not sure if I was supposed to find a place to sit first and then wave over a server to take my order or if I did the right thing just ordering at the bar and then finding a spot to watch to sunset. In any case, the cocktail tasted well balanced and paired wonderfully with the gorgeous view! I wouldn't say the cocktail itself was amazing for the price, but I don't think you come here for best of the best mixology, you come for the rooftop views and kitschy theme. read more

The food is all good, but the service is great. The atmosphere inside is pretty fun with a giant Statue of Liberty with graphics. We also stayed at the hotel and, though the rooms are small, works very well for a family of 4. Everything was clean and in great condition. For the food, the margarita fell a little short as it was warm and no salted rim. The jerk salmon also wasn't a jerk, but a sauce; however you have to expect good food vs great at a tourist venue like Margaritaville in the heart of Times Square. Tourist trap run make sure you look over every item on your receipt. I ordered a margarita on the rocks top shelf so they charge you for it. You expect that then they charged me an extra $3.50 per drink per person for making the margarita and I said hold on I said you get a paycheck in tips and they said if you want tequila on the rocks then you get one price if you want it made with margarita mix then we charge you for the margarita plus another $3.50 for making the margarita is this insane or what?. then there's an operational charge. It was six dollars and something cents and I said what is this for even the manager didn't know what it was and he had to look on the menu. He looked at the menu several times and in small print all the way at the bottom of the back menu, it said that they would charge this fee still didn't say what it was for and that he would take it off the bill because I told him I didn't agree to this. He goes well it's on there. I said doesn't mean I have to pay it. I would not go back here was such a tourist trap. If I go back there, I would just have water or soda someplace where they're not gonna rip you off and try to make up their Covid money. read more

This review is purely for the happy hour. They have pretty tasty magaritas for $9!! Which is not only a steal for NYC but for Times Square alone. It truly was better than magaritas you get at dive bars. Magaritaville is one of those places that seem like a blip in the matrix like why is there a tropical resort in the middle of times square that has 6 different bars?? The food was on, she service was good but my family did not enjoy their meals. My sis ordered a drink that didn't taste like it had alcohol in it at all, very bland. My mother got burnt sweet potatoes fried that were hard. She also felt her drink was weak and watered down. I enjoyed my food and didn't order a drink though because of their poor experience. It was a weeknight so I'm not sure why they were so underwhelming. Also my mom complained about the fries and i stead of comping them she offered us a cheesecake slice to go and the upcharge of the fries was still on the bill. I've traveled and experienced multiple locations in Atlantic City, Puerto Rico, Cancun, and Costa Rica, and without hesitation, the Times Square location is the best I've been to. From the moment we arrived, Alphonse delivered top-tier customer service. He didn't just check us in--he took his time explaining the different floors and encouraged us to explore the full experience. His professionalism, knowledge, and genuine approach set the tone for the entire visit. When we went up to the 32nd floor (with the 33rd closed), Alberto and Jeanie continued that same level of excellence. They were welcoming, attentive, and very respectful. What stood out most was their awareness--they allowed us to enjoy ourselves without rushing us, without pressure, and without missing a beat in service. They stayed on point, checked in appropriately, and created a comfortable, enjoyable atmosphere. That balance is rare, and they executed it perfectly. Now, I take customer service seriously, and this team exceeded expectations across the board. However, I have to be very clear about the one major issue--the food. It was unacceptable. My meal came out cold, I sent it back, and it came back the same way. I gave it another chance and sent it back a second time, and even then, it still did not improve. After two attempts, there's no justification for that level of inconsistency. To make matters worse, I still had to pay for a appetizer I did not enjoy. That was extremely disappointing and honestly the only reason this review isn't purely flawless. With that said, the service was so strong that it still deserves recognition. Your staff--Alphonse, Berto or Alberto without the A, and Jeanie--represent your brand at the highest level. I just strongly recommend that the kitchen matches the same standard of excellence as your front-of-house team. Overall, an incredible experience driven by exceptional people. Excellent resort with great staff. The location is perfect next to Times Square. We had breakfast there as well, and the waiter, Douglas, was a very cool guy who took very good care of us. He was very friendly and patient, and he provided us with a lot of good information about the hotel. Food was excellent too. They gave us breakfast coupons to use, so breakfast was complimentary. The ambience was also amazing. So many cool decorations everywhere. The outdoor rooftop pool, which we did not use, was very nice. They gave us a bottle of water every time I asked for one. If we are in the town again overnight, consider staying here again. I recommend this place for those looking for a great place to stay. read more

This is a great spot to eat particularly preBroadway. It is close. Parking nearby. And most importantly, the staff is totally mindful that people are concerned about making it out on time and it shows. The second we sat down our server told us our food would be out in 20 minutes and from then on we were able to enjoy our meal without a care in the world. The drinks at Margaritaville are amazing and the Havana bananas is my favorite. I had a delicious salad with grilled chicken that was tasty and moist. The atmosphere is fun. We had tickets to see Aladdin, and we parked on 40th between 7th and Broadway and decided to take a walk and ended up here. So glad we did. We got there at about 5:15 and the food was delivered to our table by 5:45. They didn't rush us at all, but they were mindful that we might have to be ready to leave for a show and when we got there they said food will be out in 20 minutes. Our server was fantastic. She was quick and friendly and kept stopping by. The atmosphere was fun. Very New York. We sat overlooking the street corner three floors up with the best people watching. We Walked in and we were seated quickly, it wasn't too busy. Cool atmosphere with good music. Now you'd think the drinks would be really good right and decorated nicely, I mean it's Margaritaville! The decor was cute, especially with the big Statue of Liberty replica that projected the light show in a big margarita glass. I'm a huge Margaritaville fan. I've always had great experiences there and plus I love Jimmy Buffet's music, so when I discovered there was a location steps from Times Square, I was quite excited (to put it mildly). I showed up around 5:00 on a Friday and the bar area was packed. There was one stool available, though, so I somehow wedged myself in there and began perusing the menu. Obviously I knew I had to get a margarita but there were so many to choose from I was momentarily flustered. It's hard to turn down something called the Perfect Margarita ("Margaritaville Gold and Silver Tequila, triple sec, Orange Curaçao and lime juice on the rocks... For margarita aficionados only"), however, so I decided to go with that. It's a terrific drink. The balance of flavors is right on target, and it's neither too sweet nor too tart. It might actually come pretty close to living up to its name, which is no small feat certainly. I was pondering what to order next when I heard a server tell the person next to me about the happy hour menu, which wasn't listed anywhere on the menu. Anyway, there was a House Margarita that I couldn't resist trying (and for only 8 bucks!), so I got that. (My super awesome server realized I didn't know about the happy hour menu, I guess, and so he said he'd give me the happy hour price for the Perfect Margarita. How freakin' cool is that?) The House Margarita is fine, for what it is. It tastes like it's been made with a mix and it's flavorful enough, but I wouldn't say it's a must order or anything. For my final drink, I was curious about the Loaded LandShark ("LandShark Lager topped off with Margaritaville Island Lime Tequila"). I wasn't sure what to expect but the combination actually works surprisingly well. It's quite a refreshing concoction and it was the perfect way to cap off a really fun visit.
