Decided on a glass of Prosecco which was good and Old Fashioned for cocktails. Complimentary nuts (some were spicy) to snack on while there. I've stayed at the Warwick for business travel several times and the bar is one of the biggest draws for me. I love the cocktails, the dark wood and the intimate setting. Service is terrible. Wait staff simply do not care. The overall experience at Randolph's is substandard and frankly a poor reflection on the Warwick hotel which is otherwise such a top notch hotel. Ordered a drink and what was delivered to my table was nothing like the drink I had ordered. When I sent it back they apologized and said they did not have the ingredients to make the common drink I had ordered. Another disappointment at Randolph. Returning for the 5th time and true to form they suck. I now declare them a lost cause and they are a true embarrassment to the New York bar scene. read more

Interesting joint. I had a business meeting at this bar. It's primarily a tourist joint since its connected with a hotel. The decor is not my taste. This Irish heaviness of wood and leather is not of today. I prefer light and open. And i believe this place got a make over! Ahum.... Anyway i only had drinks. What a great place to chill, have a bite and watch people. I checked in on FB and the manager came by to say hi and offer a drink. How do you not have cucumbers for a Hendricks Tonic in 2022? Stepped into this clubby paneled room for drinks with an old friend. Vibe was fine although there was some sort of post-convention meetup there which monopolized the space. When they left, instead of cleaning up after them and reorganizing furniture set up as normal - the place was left cluttered and unimpressive. read more

We stopped in at Randolph's after a show at City Center. The windows were decorated with white Christmas lights and it looked like a warm, inviting place in a cold night. It was about 10:30 and the bar was pretty full. We were greeted immediately and seated at a table by window. Randolph's has a nice, warm feeling, with dark wood walls. We ordered a Negroni and a mojito. Both were good. We also ordered the charcuterie plate as we wanted something light to eat. This is a very large assortment of cheeses and meats. All were very good. At $26, the charcuterie seems expensive but it served as a light meal for two, so the price wasn't outrageous. All in all, Randolph's was the perfect fit for what we wanted - a nice place to have a drink and snacks late on a Friday evening. The service was good, attentive and prompt. read more

This is an attractive, comfortable and inviting place. Seating is plentiful and makes it easy to sit back, relax and have a drink from the full bar. It's a convivial atmosphere and tends to get loud after work. The food is really terrific, and they offer an expanded bar menu. They offer a great Angus/bacon/cheese burger and the menu now includes an outstanding chicken and sautéed onion/apple sandwich on Rosemary focaccia. The Warwick salad is my favorite: crispy romaine lettuce, chicken breast pieces, cranberries,apples and lots of delightful goodies. The French onion soup is FILLED with onion and cheese on a tasty piece of bread. The Vichyssoise is excellent,as is the tomato soup. The folks who work here are the best. They are knowledgeable about the food and drinks and are truly nice people. Look for Laura, Diana and Chris to be sure you have a good meal and a pleasant time. I have to add to the reviews saying the bartender hates his job and hates his customers. I was here last night with my mother. It was busy, I will give him that. But I very politely said when you get a moment, I would love to get a drink. He walks away and serves a group of men and then texts for 5 minutes. When I called him out on it he threw down the glass and practically poured the drink on me. And by the way, I was not ordering a Bud Light - I was ordering a Johnny Walker Black (again for my mother who maybe gets into the city a couple times a year). I don't like writing negative reviews but I feel the need to call out terrible bartenders as it ruins the experience for everyone. Loved the bartender, an older gentleman who thought the Foursquare check-in offer should be applied to more than one drink and he made lovely cocktails. They are some interesting regulars if you sit at the bar - makes for a fun evening, even if you don't engage, but just listen. Even though we had the Le Bernardin tasting at 5pm I needed a bedtime snack and decided to ruin my classy palate with some rock shrimp tempura - maybe a bit too much batter but they were tasty and the aioli was great. Hotel bar for the Warwick Hotel. It's a comfortable lounge to have drinks. Although lots of dark wood the windows provide light that allows you to enjoy the world passing by. We have had drinks prior to return to our room after long days out and about doing tourist stuff. The drinks are professional and reasonably priced in the heart of Manhattan. The service is nice and the Lounge chairs and tables are comfortable. Snacks good such as wings. Did not have meals here as Manhattan has too much to offer, but if on business by myself I wouldn't hesitate to eat here alone. Overall I liked this place mostly because it had professional service and comfortable lounge. read more

This hotel bar has the quaint charm of an old, storied venue but not really the glamor. The selection of whiskey is limited but they can make a lot of cocktails. The service is attentive and nice. There were three tables with people, that's it, and yet, it took the waitress 15 minutes to come over. When she finally bothered to come, she was indifferent, borderline obnoxious. We arrived a few minutes before noon. By 1:15, our food still hadn't arrived. I left to go to a meeting and my friends brought it back for me when they finally got it. Wow, so many one and two stars reviews.....I guess it's all about timing. But we want to say we have never been disappointed. We just spent another week here and for this is one of our favorite hangouts when we come to New York. Opens at noon. We think the food is great, especially the French Onion Soup, which is some of the best I have ever had. We most always sit at the bar.......excellent service, and lots of fun. A Great Hotel Bar just a short walk from Central Park and perfectly located at the Warwick Hotel in mid Town. This became our go to place while staying in Manhattan for Thanksgiving. We had the kids and the outlaws in tow, but even though its a bar the kids were not made to feel unwelcome. They had a decent but limited range of Scotch (my drink) but a good selection of wines. We didn't eat, but we did visit 3 or 4 times to get out of the cold and people watch the busy streets of Manhattan. The waiter service was good, After the first visit Benjamin remembered what we were all drinking even though we had only been once before, even down to the brand of Pino Grigio my wife was drinking. This is a quaint bar, it does have a couple of TV showing ball games but its not a sports bar. The dark furniture and the stools and sofas make it really cosy. Loved it! My only gripe was they offer potato chips at the bar. I am a firm believer that a upscale classy bar should serve nuts (cashews,almonds, etc..). I work in the restaurant industry so I'm usually pretty understanding about things...but my experience here was pretty horrendous and I don't quite know why. The 2 stars are for food and ambiance; the service made me take off the other 3. I came here with my mother when I got out of work at about 5pm, and was treating her to dinner and drinks before we went down 5th ave for the holiday windows. So I was looking forward to a nice dinner, and this place looked great. But apparently this was a terrible time to go because it was the shift change between lunch and dinner staff. We had about 7 different servers and managers come to our table in the time we were there, and none of them got anything right. First when we ordered the food, my mother asked if there was any cheese on the salad as she's highly allergic. (To our second waiter). She wanted there to be no cheese on the salad. For some reason, the waiter had to call over another waiter to see if this was possible. Both waiters assured us that it would be fine and there would be no cheese on the salad. We get the food, and there was a huge pile of cheese on top of the salad. So we had to call someone over to have them bring out another with no cheese. The fact that we had told our waiter that she's highly allergic, and then he brought over a second waiter to confirm this was possible/ok; the fact that it still came out with cheese was pretty bad. When the error came out, those first 2 waiters didn't come to our table again. A woman showed up, and asked if my mother wanted another drink to make up for the error. At this point, I had to eat my food by itself while it was still hot while we waited for them to bring out another dish for my mom with no cheese...so, when the woman comes back with the drink; it's the wrong cocktail. It then took a really long time for her to come back with the correct cocktail. After that, they finally brought out the second dish without cheese. And then we sat there...and no one came to our table to check up on us, ask if we wanted another drink, or anything. After some time, a new person came to clear the table and didn't ask if we wanted another drink, dessert, or the check. We sat there for half an hour after they cleared our plates and no one came to ask if we wanted the check/dessert/or anything else. My mom then had to get up and go near the computer to grab someone and ask for our check. Then when we got our check, we were charged for ALL the drinks. Including the drinks that the woman asked my mom if she wanted to make up for the food error...mind you, she offered the drink as an apology for the mistake, brought out the wrong drink, then brought the correct one. We were charged for her mistake drink, and then the correct drink that was supposed to make up for the dish with cheese. Then we sat there for another 15-20 minutes waiting for our check to be taken. It seemed like after they made the error with the food, no one wanted to come to the table anymore; despite the fact that the original waiter was still working. We got some of my food wrapped up and they wouldn't even give us a bag... Finally my mom had to go talk to the manager to get the check taken and to talk about the fact they charged us for 2 drinks they shouldn't have...and to share the experience. The manager was very nice, and did take off those drinks we weren't supposed to be charged for (the mistake drink and the "let me make it up to you drink"), and she ended up taking off my mother's dish which was more than expected. And she got us a bag for our to-go food. But regardless, the whole experience was actually one of the worst I've ever had at a restaurant. Ever. Which is a shame because it had great food and great ambiance, but for some reason the staff wanted nothing to do with us. We weren't rude or anything, and were very nice. Asking no cheese is hardly a complicated modification...especially when it's made obvious there is a food allergy. And the way we were treated by the staff afterwards, and the continuing mistakes; as someone in the industry there is no excuse for. SO I DON'T KNOW. Beware of the shift change/switch to lunch/dinner? The food was good though, maybe we just caught the staff on a bad day... read more

Came here once because a friend of mine wanted to get a quick drink. 1) The place is very expensive. We spent nearly 100 bucks each. 2) The ambiance is nice. You feel like a you have made it in NYC. But we were NJ folks. 3) However, I will not recommend anyone visiting this place, unless you can afford the expense. It may be a good experience to try it once. As the place is very posh. After a busy day with dinner and theater we like ending up at Randolph's. Yes it is pricey, but it has such a welcoming, cozy atmosphere, attentive service and great drinks -- a nice way for 4 of us to review the next day's activities. 10:30 on a Friday night not that crowded and we had to tackle the waiter to get him to talk to us! Several tables around us left after their inability to tackle a waiter. Finally gave up and tried to order from the bartender only to have the waiter follow me and tell me he would get my order, only to have it delivered to the wrong table. Finally got two glasses of wine but the glasses are so sticky that the napkins are sticking to the bottom of the glasses! !!! We are staying at the hotel which is lovely but the bar needs some serious serious attention to detail as well as service! Find another place to give your money to! read more

I decided to have an impromptu lunch here one day. Shouldn't have bothered. Decor/Seating: It's a very run of the mill hotel dining room with a bar. Nothing fancy. Nice to sit at the window and watch 5th Ave shoppers. Kept getting wafts of the most disgusting smell - like sewage. Service: Our server was earnest but clearly had very little training so management gets the blame this time. Food: Average - just about. We shared the shrimp sliders to start. These were nice and turned out to be the best part of our meal. I had the linguine for main and it was forgettable. My friend had the steak frites which was not inedible but very bland. The frites were more like soggy potatoes. He didn't finish stating that the poor flavour was not worth the calories. Drinks: We both ordered a glass of the Merryvale Cabernet and I'm pretty sure it was spoiled. We should have sent it back but didn't. My friend did send his coke back. It looked more like water than coke. The waiter apologised and took it off the bill with no hesitation. Toilets: This restaurant is within the Warwick Hotel and you have to make a trek up to the second floor of the hotel if you need to use the restroom. read more
