They had the World Cup on so that definitely added to the loud environment as alerted by my Apple Watch. RESERVATIONS: Not sure if they're even taken. PARKING: Street or garage. Stopped into Winnie's to watch the World Cup game France vs Spain. Many other bars were at full capacity. We were brought upstairs to Winnie's and sat at a table. Homestead was very polite and welcoming. They have a pre-fix menu 3 course which we both chose from. The top tasting items were the rice balls, Smashburger, cremebrulee Second tier was the general Tso cauliflower bites (could have been crunchier, like previous times) the Korean chicken sandwich (was just ok, had to put a lot of mayo and ketchup on it) Our waitress was fast and attentive as well. It's January and cold as ever, standing on the theatre line as if seating was first come first serve wasn't quite my style so I opted to pass the time with a cocktail next door to the Neil Simon theatre by going upstairs to Winnie's (over haswell green) went with an amaretto sour and it was delicious! I've got a beef with this place for misleading advertising. I attended a Taylor Swift Life of a Showgirl themed evening event with the promise of a $30 bottomless drinks special. What was not clear until the bill came was that: - the entire table must agree to participate in the special, so two of our group paid $30 for two sad virgin mojitos - you must order an entree to get the special, but the entree cost is separate from the $30 special. Two appetizers for one person can count as an entree - the bottomless drink option is not the standard cocktail menu but rather a limited selection pre-mixed drinks - the special only applies for 90 minutes (but you'll spend most of your time trying to flag down the server) Given this, it was only a good deal if you can consume 4 drinks in a setting and are not discriminative of the quality of alcohol. For someone who normally only orders 1-2 drinks and prefers specialty cocktails, this was not worth it The food options were mid - my steak frites were so chewy and one of my friends got sick from the fish and chips. Taylor Swift was played most of the time, though some of the choices were strange deep cuts from earlier discography, but no one was dancing or singing, just sitting at their table with mediocre offerings. Okay so the vibes in there are immaculate, from the decorations, the disco ball, the Dj was the BESTTTTTTT! he played such a great mix of music genres, all so enjoyable. The service was great too, we had some nice girlies, who were very attentive & since we all did the $30 bottomless dinner option, it was perfect. We all got the pornstar martinis, so the waitress brought over a pitcher of it! Amazing. Food was good, chicken sandwich, pepperoni pizza, cauliflower bites ughhhhh so yummy. Taylor Swift bottomless dinner was so fun! Winnie's is super cute, conveniently located if you're seeing a show, and has a fun environment. The bathroom has a huge "don't text him" sign, there's a disco ball, and to get in, you have to ring a doorbell like a speakeasy and say the password (it's printed on the doorbell). The DJ played deep cuts and lots from the new The Tortured Poets Department album for the release, and it was a lot of fun! We also got cute heart glasses. My friends and I tried lots of drinks (pornstar martini, Paloma, Moscow mule) during the bottomless and they were all delicious. We also had the bread basket appetizer, which came with a lot of bread! When approached by the waitress and asked how many people were participating in the bottomless dinner we informed her I do not drink alcohol, she proceeded to make a snarky remark about how I do not drink and that I had to pay 15 extra dollars to enjoy a Coca Cola and nice dinner with some old friends. Called to cancel a reservation ahead of time due to COVID illness and the hostess responded to me in a very unprofessional manner and acted in a condescending way over the phone the entire conversation. When I tried to ask about speaking to the manager she just hung up the phone on me.
