Located inside Väsen, the food operation has a cool food truck-style pickup window at the back of the brewery when your pager goes off (order at the bar). It's casual, efficient, and adds to the fun atmosphere. Most importantly, the food was absolutely exceptional. Every dish we tried delivered huge flavor and was packed with personality. This is the kind of food that makes you stop mid-conversation and comment on how good it is. The bar service was equally impressive. We placed our order through the bartender, and despite it being a Tuesday evening, there was plenty of staff on hand. Multiple team members checked on us throughout our visit, and every interaction was friendly, welcoming, and genuine. What really stood out was the sense of community. Although it's a relatively new addition to the Forest Hill area, it's already clear that locals have embraced it. They even have branded merchandise and cycling gloves for sale, and during our visit we watched several cyclists roll up, hop off their road bikes, and come inside still wearing their cycling gear. It felt like a true neighborhood gathering spot. Places like this give a neighborhood character, and Kobop Korean feels like something special. Really well seasoned food. We got a chicken burrito and a carnitas quesadilla. The burrito was HUGE and had a great ratio of seasoned meat to rice and veg. The tortilla held up well. This actually made two comfortable meals for me. The quesadilla had wonderful flavor - that pork could not have been better. Food is cooked to order so expect to wait 10 minutes. So never got a page and we just waited because he said it would take a while. After a bit I go to pickup my order to find that he gave it away and he was leaving early for the night because his wraps weren't working. What an amateur and I will Never support this business and I hope everyone else avoid him like the plague.
