Mari Mexican Tacos is differently a hidden gem on Kennedy. It's a family owned business and they are super nice. You take your food to go or eat inside. I went few weeks ago and I ordered 3 tacos. We walked into Mari's Mexican Tacos hoping to find a spot that truly delivers great food at a fair price, something that feels rare these days- and they absolutely exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by who seemed to be the owner and his son. They were incredibly friendly and attentive, especially after learning we were first time customers. In a thoughtful gesture, they even offered my wife the lunch menu despite it being past lunchtime, a small act that spoke volumes about their hospitality. I went with a personal favorite you can never go wrong with... chicken tostadas and tacos! We also ordered their guacamole and chips to start. Their chips were warm, seem to be fried fresh, and perfectly salted! The guacamole was outstandinggg! Fresh, vibrant, and packed with flavor. Every bite burst with avocado, lime, cilantro, and balanced seasoning. The portion was generous, too. The tostadas were just as impressive. Each bite delivered a perfect balance of layers: refried beans, tender shredded chicken, crisp lettuce, crema, tomatoes, and sliced avocado. You could just truly taste every ingredient. Their mild green sauce deserves a special mention... it was tangy with just the right amount of kick; It paired beautifully with the tacos and tostadas and would compliment just about anything on the menu. Cute little taco place on Kennedy. I believe there was another taco place in the same location. The layout looks familiar. I went for an early lunch. I ordered an asado taco, a chorizo taco, and a carnitas taco. I also ordered a horchata. The food was solid. The orange hot sauce is very picante, the green is milder and my preference. The meats seemed a little salty to me, but the tortillas were heated to perfection. Prices are higher than I'm used to for Mexican styled tacos, but the setting is a lot cleaner than my usual dive taco place. read more

Excellent! I ordered carne tacos Mexican/style with an order of chips & salsa. The chips came out perfect, just the right amount of salt. I loved the salsa which was very fresh & delicious! There is seating if you want to eat in or they offer pick up as well. The staff and owners were very friendly. The prices are also very reasonable. Mari serves up the best tacos in the Tampa. I go there at least once a week. The food is absolutely delicious. I tried the tacos, tostadas, empanadas, etc. The orange hot sauce has great flavor. The food is amazing it has so much flavor and I got the al pastor burrito !! I am not a big fan of chips but the queso and chips was so good the warmth of the cheese just melts in your mouth with the chips I love. For dessert, the flan was absolutely to die for. The owner greeted me upon entry and was extremely nice, which made the experience even better. It's a newer place, but it exceeded my expectations. It was our first time visiting and we had seen great reviews . We wanted good food since we were soooo Hungry! Mari Mexican Tacos did not disappoint. The restaurant feels open and clean. They are friendly and have an easy to read menu. The food presentation and quality was great, even their Horchata was amazing! The puff pastry was so tasty and the mustard was oh so tasty. As my main I got the crispy shrimp and really enjoyed it! I wanted to keep things light for my weight watchers . Hubs got the classic fish and chips. He thought it was pretty good- personally I thought it was quite plain but the chips were really good! Lastly, we ended with the sticky toffee pudding as our dessert. It was a whole lot less sweet than I thought it'd be. Hubs was too full to indulge with me but wasn't crazy about the texture , I on the other hand enjoyed it but wouldn't get it again. Overall I really enjoyed my time here and would definitely recommend. Our server was kind and quick which I always appreciate. I will be coming back

We opened with the **tiger shrimp tempura** -- candied walnuts and a creamy honey aioli. Smaller than I expected, roughly half-dollar sized, but tender, sweet, and generous in portion. The candied walnuts and honey aioli combo leaned sweeter than a classic honey walnut shrimp, with a little bang bang shrimp energy minus the spice. Trying to pace ourselves for dessert, we kept the rest light: the signature crispy rice (Wagyu and spicy tuna versions, split two apiece), The Great White (escolar), and the lemongrass beef lollipops. The Great White was well-balanced and delicious. The lemongrass beef -- sliced NY strip wrapped around a lemongrass stalk with ginger soy -- was solid but not a standout; the lemongrass flavor was subtle and the chili barely registered. Fair warning: it comes out well past medium-rare since it's wrapped and cooked that way, and the server didn't ask for a temperature preference. Good, but not something I'd reorder. The crispy rice was tasty but not a personal favorite -- the Wagyu and spicy tuna toppings themselves were great, just not sold on the crispy rice base. The standout of the savory round was the lobster Wagyu roll -- lobster and Wagyu tataki with a duck pâté aioli, sort of a surf-and-turf sushi roll. Pricier than the other rolls, but the combination justified it. Definitely ordering that again. **Now, the main event: Caviar Sunday.** Our server mentioned this particular caviar brand is a favorite of a certain pop star's, which was a fun detail. The tower itself was a showpiece -- diced and quartered dragon fruit, lychee, blueberries, crispy rice balls (first time trying those, loved them), plus passionfruit and ube sauces on the side. It came with turon (Filipino plantain egg rolls) and vanilla ice cream, essentially a build-your-own sundae kit with caviar mixed in. Caviar with ice cream sounded strange going in, but the salt-sweet balance worked. Genuinely unique, and I'd order it again without hesitation. It's not cheap, but it's roughly half the price of their standalone caviar entrée for the same amount of caviar -- so relatively speaking, it's the smarter way to get it. Service was excellent throughout -- good pacing suggestions so we didn't over-order before dessert, and when we couldn't finish the tower, our server packed the leftovers carefully on ice so we could enjoy round two at home. My one regret: ordering a double espresso with dessert. Good on its own, but it clashed with the tropical, ice cream-heavy flavors -- that one's on me, not the kitchen. Sunda remains a place I'll keep coming back to.

Absolutely incredible experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and the smell of fresh food cooking. The tacos were tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. My personal favorite was the carne asada -- perfectly grilled with just the right amount of spice. The beans and rice were also delicious not just filler like at other places. The atmosphere was vibrant colorful decor, great music, and a real authentic vibe. The service was top-notch. Our server checked in often, and made great recommendations.
