I came across this bakery online, and since I was in the area, I stopped by to check it out. The place has ample space and it is very clean. The atmosphere isn't very homey; it's got an industrial feel to it. The staff is nice. However, it felt weird to order. I had several staff staring at my mom and I. They didn't really engage by offering any suggestions or asking if we had any questions. At a glance, they have great bakery options, the classic conchas, puerquitos, elotes, quesadillas, pan de elotes, tres leches cake, etc. We purchased a quesadilla, conchas, and 3 leches cake. The baked goods were a little higher priced than most other bakeries. The specialty mazapan concha was way smaller than the regulars and higher in price. The empanadas were also a bit higher priced than expected compared to the size. The mazapan latte was delicious, creamy, and not bitter, not too sweet, with a light dust of mazapan. I dont know that I would go back a 2nd time. Customer service is a big thing for me as a customer. I understand pricing can be higher because it is hard to compete with the chains. read more

I feel like my experience here is getting worse. The customer service is not great. The lady cashier started giving me attitude when I just asked between these two drinks which had more of a canela taste (because I wanted a drink with a strong canela taste). There was no reason to give someone attitude about asking about their products. She was obviously tired since she was yawning but I really hope the management does a better job at their training and orientation. It was my first time here and I was very disappointed. For the coffee itself I'd give it a solid 3/5. The Jalapeño cheese croissant tasted mostly like cheese which was disappointing. The service is another story. I give that a 1/5. As a barista myself I was shocked. Not only could I not order at the machine because it sounded so muffled but the girl who took our order was very unprofessional. Every time I tried to order she would stop to talk to her coworkers and start laughing. As I was midway ordering the first drink she stopped to tell her coworker to stop playing and called him a "pendejo". She then proceeded to take my order and when I asked what kind of pastries they had since it was my first time and I couldn't see the menu she said the "usual" ones which didn't help at all. She then proceeded to pretend to slap her coworker as I'm still trying to order. I'm sure she could tell I was getting flustered at this point so she said "I'm sorry I'm supposed to be off". Food Review: They have a variety of bakery items to choose from as well as some hot foods like burritos and empanadas. I got the Mocha Tres Leches Cake and it was a 3/5, only because it didn't taste anything like mocha, just a regular tres leches cake. Based off the cake in general it was a 4/5, pretty good and a decent tres leches. I also tried their Guava Cheese Strudel and I'm not sure if I got a weird one but the guava and cheese were split down the middle so one side had all the guava and the other side had all the cream cheese filling. If that's how it normally is, I suggest putting it together so each bite gets both filling. Lastly, I got the Churro Crumb Cake and it was a 2/5, it had no flavor, not even the tiniest hint of cinnamon so I'm not too sure why it has churro in the name. It honestly tasted and felt like a plain scone, which pairs nicely with coffee because of its drier texture but the name is very misleading. The coffee itself was also decent. I'm not a big fan of whole milk in my coffee and I wasn't sure if there were any other milk alternatives because it's wasn't listed anywhere. I got the Mexican Mocha Latte and again the mocha flavor missed. I've gotten Mexican mochas from other specialty cafes and this one was just alright. Coffee wise, the flavor of the espresso was there and it was smooth and rich which is always a plus so maybe next time I'll just try a different flavor. My boyfriend got the Dulce de Leche Latte and he loved it so there's that. Service Review: Not the best customer service but it was decent. We got our drinks in a little under 5 minutes and he kinda just slid/pushed the drinks towards us and walked off. Went on a rainy day and it was packed. The lines moved pretty quickly though. We got a couple of baked goods such as their cookies, jalapeño cheese bread, and nino envuelto, and tres leches cookies n crème. Baked goods are pretty good. The 3 leches wasn't too sweet it was just perfect. The empanadas(birria & chicharron) were good. Although, it was a bit more flaky reminded me more of a croissant. I really liked the birria empanada while the hubby preferred the chicharron one. Their salsa was pretty spicy. Their iced mocha latte was also pretty good. The worst. First time I ordered from this place through DoorDash I ordered a pan dulce and an Horchata frappe. The pan dulce was stale and hard. And my frappe came without a straw. Like seriously? I had to go to my kitchen to grab a spoon because of how else was I supposed to drink a frappe? Now today, I ordered it again trying to give them another try. I ordered the empanadas after seeing pictures of them on Instagram. The empanadas comes with salsa and pickled onions. My order arrives and of course it's missing the salsa and onions. From the time we arrived, got in line, and got the last of our order, it had been around 40 minutes. We ordered the horchata latte and pumpkin cream frappe for drinks. For food, we had the papas con chorizo burrito, birria empanada, and tinga empanada. We also got a white concha and elote pan dulce. I wish the horchata latte was a bit sweeter for my taste. My wife liked her frappe, but we could hardly taste the pumpkin in it. The burrito was really good. We wished it had a bit more potato, but overall the flavor was great. The salsa and pickled onion that came on the side were a nice surprise as well. The red salsa had good flavor and was pretty spicy if you're into that. The birria empanada was my favorite. Great flavor and the crust was amazing. Super buttery, flaky, and soft. The tinga was delicious as well. The elote pan dulce was one of the best I've had. It was so soft and moist. If you've ever had elote, you know some panaderías can make it very dry and chalky, but this was was great. Overall, really good food and drinks. I've never had tres leches cake before until I tired crumble which was good but my friend told me I needed an authentic tres leches so I figured this be a good place to start. The pastry was dry any other spot in Norwalk would have been better. I ordered a chili relleno burrito and also the chicharon chili verde burrito and both of them were a flop. The chicharon on burrito had no chicharon in it it was just rice and beans with a hint of chile.. The chile relleno did have a relleno in it but it was mostly again rice and beans. I really should have taken more pictures of the food. Everything was great. I loved the building and the inside was pretty modern for that area. The service was good, despite their being a bit of a language barrier, the staff was very patient and polite. I tried the following items; birria empanadas, tinga empanada, chile con carne empanada, and the iced horchata latte. The empanadas were very good in flavor, and the salsa that comes on the side was the cherry on top. The horchata latte was delicious and had a good amount of cinnamon to it.
