They did taste fresher than the churros you typically get from a street cart or the ones that have been sitting under a heat lamp, so I'll definitely give them credit for that. My biggest issue was the wait time. After ordering, I expected to grab the churros and be on my way since it's usually a quick dessert. Instead, we were told it would take about 25 minutes for just a couple of orders of churros. That seemed excessive. The 25-minute wait for churros feels too long. It's not like we ordered burgers, steaks, or a full meal. The quality was decent, but the long wait took away from the experience. Dulce Canella has so many options to choose from but we got the Dubai Strawberries, Churros, Mini Pancakes, Atole, and Fried oreos. Everything was sooooo delicious and made fresh to order! You can see them cooking and frying everything in front of you, which is amazing! Their restrooms are closed to customers, even though I think it's against regulations (maybe even the law) to deny access to restrooms when you serve food that is allowed for consumption on-site. We drove 20 min to come here and although adults can hold it if they have to go, kids cannot...but they don't seem to care. Also, we bought an atole and asked for an empty cup so we could split it and they charged us 25 cents. So if I don't have cash, I have to use my card to pay $0.25? That's just ridiculous. Also beware, if you come and order in person, your wait will be long even if there's nobody else waiting because they prioritize online orders. We waited 55 minutes and when I tried to pinch off a piece of a churro, it crumbled completely, like a dry piece of old bread. Wtf?? They were not only cold but dry AF...so confused.
