I really adore this place but trying to make a call to place an order is unsuccessful , it was so loud and young ladies were laughing in the background. I would suggest being mindful and walk with the phone to a more quiet location to take an order for a customer or telling your coworkers to quiet down while your on the phone taking an order, the last thing I would want to do to is shout my order to the lady on the phone who is just trying to do her job. We've been to this new location a few times since they opened and tried a handful of their items. So far we have enjoyed everything we've tried. Some of our favorite food items are the birria empanadas, ham and cheese croissants and the chile relleno breakfast torta. As for the drinks the horchata cold brew is delicious. The refreshers are good and I have yet to be disappointed by any of the frappes. It's a cute little location with super friendly staff. Definitely check it out. read more

I've been to the Downey location and loved everything so my expectations were high coming to this location as it's 5 Mins away from me now. I went on a breakfast snack run for my momma and my aunt, I had been raving. The location used to be a taco spot but I'm glad they kept the layout of the separate dining area. The aesthetic is very moderna Latina and has the papel picado logo on the wall, all of the famous stars of their heyday framed and cemented in our culture. The cashiers are all so friendly and welcoming. My order: Iced cafe de olla with vanilla foam, 1 hot cafe de olla - classic flavors and I love the vanilla foam with the iced, it balances well but it doesn't need creamer it's that good. Horchata matcha- surprising!! I love a strawberry matcha but have been trying different variations of it and this was sooo good. I thought cinnamon and matcha wouldn't go well but mariachi got it right. Chorizo con papa empanada - 12/10 I might go back before they close. Rajas con queso empanada - delish but the chorizo won this round. Chile relleno torta - my aunt had this but it looked good. Portion was huge, she saved half. Assorted pan dulce- puerquito was top tier. Soft and fresh and just perfect with a cafe de olla. I did notice that they added a pork adobo empanada flavor that I don't try but it does make me a little sad that the chicharron in chile verde empanada isn't at this location. I hope it migrates this way and isn't a Downey exclusive. Either way, I'm so happy we have this bakery in my new hood. read more

Unfortunately we had made a trip on Saturday morning to which the ladies behind the counter didn't even acknowledge us until what i'm assuming the boss came out. Recently tired mariachi bakery. My daughter and I ordered the horchata strawberry frappe, jamiaca and the hibiscus refresher. All three were delicious! We ordered tapas con queso empanadas and Piccadillo also very good and light. I would had preferred a little more picadillo since it was really good. Service was great and quick . Gave this spot another try! Ordered the chorizo & potato burrito and it was a skinny burrito for $9. Chorizo was sweet flavored with hardly any potato and beans were dry. Please save your money Every time I come here the customer service absolutely sucks. I've been coming to here for over a decade. They always seem to have a young lady working at the bar with a horrible attitude. I stopped coming for nearly a few months because I just didn't want to deal with it. I recently started coming back, and it's the same thing just a different day. I've mentioned this to the manger so many times. I understand that the community you're serving may be challenging to deal with sometimes, but not everybody is the same. The person working the window is the first line of defense. The face if you will. Please consider further training on customer service or hire enthusiastic, KIND people that enjoy serving the public. Customer service is EVERYTHING. This was my second visit to this bakery. The 1st visit a friend invited me and I decided to try their iced cafe de olla. I enjoyed the ambiance, my drink and their service. This time I opted to try other items. Service is excellent. They are quick to assist, guide you on their menu. It is very clean in the dining area and the music makes you feel right. First off customer service was not the best, I will say there was one girl that had a sticker on her cheek that was acting like she didn't want to be there and was not very attentive. She alone brought down the atmosphere as she was the cashier. The other girls working at least looked a bit happier and were more attentive. I noticed that they do not sanitize their milk frother's, they just tossed it into a metal container and kept re-using them as they made orders. Which is unsanitary, the residue will start to grow bacteria, will give a pungent taste and get people sick. I ordered an iced cafe de olla and a abuelita frappe, the drinks were good, just a little on the sweet side. For food I got some pan dulce, a huevo con chorizo burrito and an empanada de tinga. The burrito was good however the empanada was disappointing as the chicken was very over cooked, the flavor was good but it was just kinda soggy. The empanada didn't have a lot of chicken in it either. Overall I would say I'd only come for the coffee but I wouldn't get foam unless I see a change and they start sanitizing the equipment properly. Mariachi Bakery is my go-to when I'm in the mood for something warm and delicious on my way to work. The croissants are denser than usual, which in my case, I absolutely prefer. They're soft, minimally flaky, and buttery. I pair that with an iced cafe de olla topped with [seasonal] pumpkin foam. The perfect drink to wash down any baked good. I've also tried the chorizo burrito - spicy and flavorful. My only complaint would be that the burritos are kind of small given the price. To be fair, this review is highly influenced by the cost. We ordered 3 coffees, a breakfast burrito, and 2 conchas that told $34. Starbucks who? Mariachi Bakery is everything that Starbucks isn't. The drinks are amazing with plenty of unique flavors that you won't find anywhere else. I drank the Abuelitas cream cold brew and it was the greatest coffee I ever had, and that's on purr. My girlfriend had the Duvalin cream cold brew and it was also tasty as hell. Basically what I'm saying is if you want to have your mind blown then go to Mariachi Bakery. We also had the Chorizo con papas Burrito and Torta, and big surprise, they were amazing too. I tried Mariachi Bakery today for the first time I was craving pan dulce and as I arrived at 8:54pm I noticed they were closing in a few minutes. I walked inside to ask if it was too late to buy bread and they told me No and to come in everyone was so nice and answered my questions I loved that they had mini conchas they were so good I tried the Vanilla,Chocolate and Mazapan and they even had a pumpkin spice one that was so good! My daughter loves tres leches cake and they had an horchata tres leches which was the best I have ever had! They also had a gansito tres leches that my daughter said was really good. I was so excited to support a local small business even more so that it is a business representing Jalisco. I was highly disappointed by the customer service. There were several employees behind the counter and only one acknowledged us. It was my first time and I wanted to know about the items being offered. I asked for suggestions and it was like pulling teeth. No friendly rapport and not a welcoming environment. I would have been more inclined to return or suggest this business to family and friends if the employees had even just showed like they cared for the products being offered. They were more involved in their personal conversations with each other and didn't offer any knowledge on ingredients or even suggestions on what we should try.
