I'll start by saying the staff are next level! I wish I could remember the name of the man and woman I interacted with but they were both so nice, friendly, and helpful. It was very apparent how much pride they take in what they do and where they work. I ordered a white chocolate latte and a croissant and the croissant was the best croissant I've had in a long time! Haven't had coffee that stands out to me in a while but this quaint little place was such a pleasant surprise! We ordered a honey lavender latte and a rose vanilla latte and absolutely loved both of them, so much so that we couldn't decide if we wanted to trade or keep our drinks. The rose syrup is subtle but definitely there and complements the coffee so well, and the honey lavender syrups soo yumm. Couldn't say greater things about this place. They have Reese's cookies, Double Chocolate, and a Brookie and they looked so tempting we had to get one and it was soooo good! It feels really cozy inside and I saw a couple of people doing work. They have a shelf of games you can play as well and a maximized seating layout that doesn't make the space feel cramped. read more

Stopped by late morning to re-caffienate at this cafe in the corner of an unassuming plaza. There was a good amount of parking at that time I arrived. There was a decent amount of seating, 1 long table and 3 small tables, and outlets scattered around. I ordered a Spanish Latte and it was perfectly balanced. Sweet and spiced but the coffee flavor is still in tact. I also got their 777 Croissant which is basically a ham and cheese croissant with a honey glazed exterior. I like how you can opt out of the honey glaze but I wanted to give it a try today. It was a little sweet paired with my drink so I'd probably opt out of the honey next time. The croissant also takes ~10 minutes to make, so be mindful of that if you're in a time crunch! read more

My husband and I decided to try this coffee spot recently. We had no idea it was close by and that we've driven past it before. I ordered an Iced Vanilla Matcha, and my husband had an Iced Spanish Latte. Our drinks were refreshing with great flavor. We also ordered food; the Call Me Caprese Sandwich and a Lucky Croissant. Both food items were delicious, and we'd definitely order them again. The interior of the store itself is on the smaller side, but it's clean and cozy. There's chill music playing and the ambiance is calm. The staff were very polite and friendly, and they had our order brought to the table pretty quickly. We tried them out today for the first time and I am surprised Once I enjoyed my Cafe Latte I looked at my ice cubes and saw they are coffee cubes! My heart bursted of joy, explained why my latte didn't taste diluted. I have a Toddler so I can't completely slurp and enjoy my coffee at once, mommas know what I mean, that being said every sip was a perfect sip (for me) What else surprised me and my hubby? they offer Boba tea drinks also (Variety!) we did enjoy two plates of their Avocado Toasts, they were delicious. I'm so sad about my experience today. We live in Hacienda Heights and purposely go over the hill for Hooked on Coffee, supporting local business is so important in this community esp with Starbucks at the corner. We've had many positive experiences here but today I'm not sure what was going on. I ordered two cold brews ($12 plus 20% tip) and explained that I want the coffee and a splash of cream. I'm including a picture because if you're a cold brew drinker than you know what cream looks like. I was unhappy with my order, left and drove back. I don't like to complain about orders but for $12 I felt my order was not what I asked for. The manager Sam said if I wanted new drinks I'd have to pay another $12. I was shocked. I explained that all I taste was cream and she explained that i needed to consider the ice cubes and the fact that their cream is very heavy. After a bit of back and forth (as I was shocked it was such an issue to just use the same cups and pour coffee), I asked for a refund. She said no, that was also not an option. Again, if I wanted new coffee I'd have to pay $12. So $24 because as a customer me being unhappy with an order wasn't their problem. Anyway, I'm just so bummed with my experience. So disappointed. It was my sister & I's first time here. It's small little shop but worth the drive. They have books and little stickers/games to keep (if you do decide to bring your kids) to keep busy! It's clean, calm environment. The staff was more than friendly, assured us someone would be right with us and drinks & food were out so quick. The lucky croissant w/ honey mustard glaze on the outside was SO good. It's sweet and flakey. The coffee was everything you expect it to be, not too sweet, not bitter and perfect blend of flavor (not to mention extremely hot) The matcha is definitely better tasting than you can find at most places, more authentic I feel (especially better than Starbucks). Small side note, the staff that helped us were extremely nice. I assume even the manager(didn't get his name) was great. Drink: Cold brew Straight black cold brew, no sugar, no milk. Its pretty much the only coffee drink that I ever order anywhere I go. Unfortunately this may of been one of the worst ones I've had. Whatever coffee they use does not have a good flavor to it, which doesn't translate well when you are drinking it black without any flavoring. Also, the amount and size of the ice cubes used in the cup makes it hard for the straw to even go into the cup! Restaurant / Shop: There is plenty of seating inside, and it was packed when I went in. The Iced Spanish Latte is absolutely delicious & perfectly sweetened. The staff are friendly & attentive. The seating area is clean & they have a bookshelf with tons of books.
