The experience barista assist me to choose the coffee bean based on my desreviptikn and answered the question about brewing the coffee patiently. If you bought a bag of the coffee bean, you will have one complimentary drink. I visited in the next day and had the pullover. Although they have the machine but the barista still hand craft the coffee( they have the pull over machine). The coffee was great, the pastries were on point, the vibe was relaxed, and the staff was genuinely friendly. I'd absolutely come back for all of that. This is really just a friendly note to management. The only thing that turned a great experience into an uncomfortable one was the tipping screen. The suggested options started at 22% and climbed from there. I'm all for tipping, and I appreciate when businesses make it easy with reasonable options. But when the lowest suggested tip starts above and beyond a "normal" amount, it feels less like a suggestion and more like pressure. At 35%, I half expected someone to be outside washing my car while my espresso was pulling. I'd definitely recommend this place for the coffee and pastries. I just hope they reconsider the default tip suggestions. I think that small change would make the experience as enjoyable at the register as it is everywhere else. read more

Stereoscope has quickly become one of my favorite coffee shops in Hollywood. I absolutely love the space--the monochromatic, minimalist, and modern design creates such a welcoming atmosphere. The drinks are consistently delicious. Their coffee is excellent, and I especially appreciate that they offer decaf options without compromising on quality. The matcha is also incredible. Not only was there an employee taking orders down the line from a small mobile device, but they were also sampling some of their coffee roasts to guests in line. It was such a cool experience being able to taste the unique roasts and made the wait go by very quickly. Staff was all very friendly and knowledgeable, taking their time with each guest to explain the menu and answer any questions. Drinks are on the pricier side, but you can taste the quality of their coffee and even their matcha. We ordered the Yorokobi matcha series, a hot latte, and a decaf iced cortado with oat milk. If you're in search for some good ceremonial matcha latte, then please hear me out! On their menu, look on the right side/page because that's all you need! They have different choices of ceremonial matcha, but if you want it iced with milk, the cashier recommended either the Nakana (this is usually sold out) or the Yorokobi; I believe the others are appropriate for being serviced as a hot brew by itself. All of the times I visited here, I ordered the latter and it was a really good drink! Their Nakana has been consistently "sold out" every time I am here; maybe next time I can try it when it's available. Easily one of my new favorite coffee shops! I ordered the Mocha Ganache, which had a rich, chocolatey flavor, while my boyfriend got the Madagascar Vanilla Latte. He enjoyed it, though it was a bit too sweet for my liking but it could be great for people who don't like a very strong coffee taste. The staff were friendly, made conversation, and even served our drinks to the table, which was a nice touch. There was plenty of seating, including bar seating, a long communal table, a cozy corner nook, and additional patio seating outside. STEREOSCOPE COFFEE in Buena Park?!?! yes!! This branch is located in a shopping center with its own large and free parking lot. It was definitely not an issue trying to get a parking spot near the front door. The space is large and has plenty of chairs and tables. They also have an outdoor patio with a lot of chairs and tables. Many people were coming to hang out and catch up. They offer OUT OF THIN AIR breads and those are delicious. The CORTADO, as usual, is delicious. Their training program is great as all baristas seem to be consistent across the board. Staff are efficient and courteous. There was no line to get in, the line to order was very short, and it did not take long to make our drink orders. read more

The latte itself is not sweetened, but the cream top adds a nice sweetness to it. This is one of the better matcha that I've had recently, I feel like it's underrated. I ordered an Iced Madagascar Vanilla Latte. Decent vanilla flavor. The espresso was bold but overshadowed the vanilla component. Coffee was super strong as my heart catapulted through the roof. Service was great. Was greeted upon entry. The cashier was friendly. Drink arrived within a few minutes. Minimalist interior. Not much seating available as it was busy in there but I was there to grab and go anyway. There was a communal table packed with people on laptops also a couple of people waiting for their drinks. Decent parking available. Also at the time we went, someone made their own parking spot on the diagonal blue lines that was right next to the accessible parking spot. I came back to the car and had to wait for them to get in their car otherwise I couldn't open the door. Coffee was decent but not omg let me park in an illegal spot good. Ambiance/Environment: They have a small space with some indoor and outdoor seating. Love their aesthetics. It's a mixture of industrial/rustic decor. It's a studious environment; not too loud and majority of everyone is actually doing their work quietly. Seats and tables can fill up pretty quick though. Service: Everyone I've encountered has been courteous and knowledgeable about the menu. Their throughput is also quick, and they even bring your drink to you. I didn't catch anyone's names unfortunately. Shout out to the male cashier during my recent visit bc he honored the 20% off one drink. For whatever reason, the coupon wasn't showing on their end. Drinks: I've only ever tried their lattes bc I'm not a tea person. I'm slowly getting into matcha, but I haven't tried their matchas yet. This review is solely based on their lattes and my experience. I absolutely enjoy their coffee. If you enjoy your coffee lightly sweetened like me but can still taste the coffee, then you'll really enjoy Stereoscope. Im not too sure about the ceremonial matcha. Theres different type but i dont taste much of a difference between the other matcha types. I got the yorokobai one. The vanilla madagascar was very flavorful but the coffee wasnt strong. I drank it around 4 pm and was still able to fall asleep. Service was pretty fast. A mix of guests were quietly reading, working, or chatting, and the space had a relaxed, lingering-after-work atmosphere that felt welcoming without being too loud or crowded. I usually order the Royal Milk Tea and the Matcha Milk every time I go but if I'm feeling more tea I like to get the Lychee Peachy! We have been to our fair share of coffee shops in OC and Stereoscope is clearly the winner in terms of quality alone. Sure, there are a lot of instagrammy aesthetic coffee shops around So Cal, but when it comes to coffee quality alone I believe Stereoscope does it best. Their miso pumpkin spice latte is a seasonal drink but it was so good I went back the next day for the same drink. The depth of flavor the miso brings is just unmatched. The pumpkin spice flavor doesn't taste artificial but more natural and realistic. It tastes even better as the ice waters down the coffee a bit more because it is quite strong from the espresso. The spanish latte is slightly sweet from the condensed milk but its so comforting and delicious with the blend of whole milk. I would recommend this drink hot! There is a good amount of outdoor seating for you to enjoy the outdoors with your pup. We brought our dog and the environment was so chill and relaxed. Stereoscope is not to be missed if you are ever in Buena Park looking for a pick-me-up drink. read more

Nice cozy little shop in Buena Park. Like all the coffee stuff they have of the left side of their store along with all the bags of what I assume are beans. My husband wanted to stop here because we were running out of coffee beans, so we picked up a bag here. Got a pack of the Sumatra beans whcih was roughly $27, and we were pleasantly surprised to find out that we get a free drink/soft serve with it. We opted to use it for an order of the espresso soft serve, but you can opt to have it saved to your account/phone number. The espresso soft-serve is really fancy in presentation lol. I don't think I've ever seen anything like it in recent memory, really cool they have it as an option. FYI it's not sweet at all, but knowing it was espresso it's what I expected. It had a slightly bitter and sour/acidic tang, but not in an overwhelming way. This could've been easily been an item I didn't like at all, but I ate a surprising amount of it. Would I get it again? Personally, no. I'm a fan of sweeter things, so I'd like to try their cranberry pumpkin spice latte soft serve if they still have it on my next visit here. But real coffee appreciators would probably really like this, so give it a try if you want sometime new! read more

i heard the hype about stereoscope and was in the area to try. i never been here before so i asked the cashier what's a good matcha latte to get. he was very nice and helpful and recommended to get either the hokatsu or yorokobi ceremonial matcha series. my friend got the hokatsu matcha latte and i got the yorokobi matcha latte. the staff were very fast and very nice. however, we were shocked by the prices. the menu has outdated prices and a yorokobi matcha latte with sweetener was $10. i don't think the drink was worth $10 because it had a chalky aftertaste that made me feel thirsty. my friend said her hokatsu matcha latte did not taste like matcha at all. she described the taste as getting a straw used in a matcha latte and putting it in a cup of milk. there was barely any flavor. she did feel her drink made her thirstier. in terms of the store layout, it is fairly quiet but squished if you want to study there. lots of parking tho. i don't think i'll be coming back. read more

Matcha is good I came back because I had a good experience last week. Today came in and was waiting for my matcha. They walk your drink to you, which is unnecessary. Been to this stereoscope many times and I love their coffee and strawberry milk. The matcha latte is very sweet and very light on the matcha. However they now have a more extensive matcha menu with koicha style matcha that I have not tried yet. They use mizuba matcha and I've purchased a can from them before....for a premium price of $45-50 ish? And it was mid. I definitely can get better matcha for that amount of money somewhere else. Have subscribe to DrinkTrade, Ritual, Handlebar, Klatch...etc etc etc. Out of all the coffee places around, Steroscope has some of the most unique espresso flavors. They are not your typical Marsh mellow, orange peal, caramel, etc. They had some beans that tasted like Strawberry and it was amazing. So if you want something different, then give them a try. BUT....be prepared to pay! Their beans aren't cheap and that is why I don't always go here, since I can't afford to spend that much on beans every week. Some of the bags are $30+. read more

Drove out of my way off Highway 5 to come here based on Yelp reviews. It's in a very plain Jane unassuming Korean business heavy strip mall. There is outdoor seating of folding chairs and little tiny tables. At first sight, not impressive and easy to pass by. But then I noticed in the street side of the building they have nicer white chairs and tables with a couple enormous umbrellas overhead (the kind you find in Korea that shade over street corners. I loved making that connection with recent travels there. Sweet memories). Upon walk in, it's minimalistic but great long community table and bar stool seating along the window. Not bad for such an unassuming spot. But, because the decor and tables were also unassuming, the focal point quickly became the counter where you order. This place is all about their offerings; coffee, espresso and Matcha! You've got my attention! Having already had a latte this morning, I decided my mission today was to get won over by Matcha since that seems to be an important option here. I'm not a matcha fan. But, I think I just haven't had a real deal. Only once before have I enjoyed a matcha ice cream elsewhere. It was made from the finest matcha. Many matcha spots use powders or maybe over processed matcha. And so I haven't enjoyed it thus far. But, I'm being daring and asked to be won over. After quite a bit of discussion (holding up the line), I was counseled and advised toward one of several matcha options. Yeah... SEVERAL Matcha (unsweetened) options. The matcha latte is extraordinary! Probably one of my favorite matchas yet because it is so earthy and creamy. I loved it so much that I had my mom ask her friend in LA to buy the matcha powder and bring it back to the Bay Area. They offer multiple grades of matcha, so I went for the second highest grade since the lowest one was sold out. It is on the pricier side because they don't include any sweetness, and I always substitute oat milk, which adds to the cost. I have also tried their americano and iced latte. I'd suggest getting a medium roast because the lighter roast can be more astringent. The helpful staff is definitely an added bonus too. read more

I'm not sure what the actual beans name are called but the notes include dark cherry, chocolate, honey, and brown sugar. The strawberry milk was delicious but a bit on the pricier side. It didn't bother me too much, but it did stand out a bit visually and might be part of their admin or tasting area. It was jam packed inside with plenty of people in line and others sitting inside. I ordered their Espresso Tonic and it was pretty solid in my book. I enjoy a good, simple ET and that's what they offer here. I waited a few minutes but didn't mind since they were pumping out drinks fairly quickly especially with the long lines. Excellent, superior coffee in the greater LA area/OC area. My wife and I visit this specific location because we live in OC. We keep coming back for their rotational seleciton of coffee beans from regions sucha s Ethiopia, Peru, and Colombia, to name a few. We normally grind and brew our coffee at home with a Breville espresso machines to get our daily fix of caffeine. With Stereoscope's in-house roasted coffee beans, we experience the taste of coffee shop quality brew in every drip of our americanos made at home. I'm happy with all of their employees who provide exceptional service. Additionally, the vibe of the shop is cozy and is conducive to a productive environment for working or studying. Have been here several times over the past few years to get some studying done on the weekends. I recently learned they have other locations as well. Just bought my first bag of beans to try on my rocket espresso machine. I just recently tried the lychee peachy tea. It's freaking so good. The options here are great.
