We were seated and given drinks and chips and salsa as soon as we walked in the door. The chips were fresh and the salsa was fantastic. We ordered queso which was also great. DH and I stopped here for dinner on the road trip across America. I don't recall the name of the dish I ordered, but what I got was a plate full of salt, with a side of salt and salt. I was surprised to see a restaurant with such a high rating in this area. Unfortunately the premise didn't live up to the expectation. The chips seem to have a stale one or two mixed in. Salsa flavorless portions small, to quote my wife "I don't know how they can ruin guacamole." My order had a child size portion of steak as well. The waitstaff seemed ok nothing great but my drink didn't go empty. Overall I'd recommend if your in the area and starving or not particular about your Mexican food. read more

The food is good, but the place is dirty. We went in on a Saturday night. The table was set and supposedly clean. We sit down to find small chunks of green food particles all over one end of the table. We look through the menus and find dried gobs of cheese dip on the inside of the menu. As we wait for our food, I see a big glob of dried nasty olive green substance on the salt shaker. It was all too much and it made my stomach turn. The shrimp quesadilla looked solid as well. The chips are perfect. The regular gringo salsa is okay. Ask for the Mexican hot sauce and they'll bring you the real deal ... If you are in a rush to get to your destination this place MIGHT do the job for a quick and cheap meal. Don't expect great Mexican food. Play it safe and go with the nachos or quesadillas. There only seemed to be one waitress who was rude but attended us well enough. The locals seem to like this place but then again it might be the only Mexican restaurant in the area. read more

Extremely clean. Mexican servers and staff with well spoken English. Food was authentic, not greasy and very flavorful. I drove in from New Mexico with my family of 5 (4 kids) and they were all tired and hungry. They were very welcoming and patient with the children. Colorful furniture. Very well lit and ventilated. Prices were very reasonable, not expensive at all. My wife was born in Memphis and we now live in Mississippi. I wish we lived closer to Mariachi Grill. read more

This is a place Mike A. and I stop at a couple times a year. We usually start talking about their Pepe's special about 45 minutes before we get there. It's a fajita with beef, chicken, bacon. I usually have them put the queso on top. Queso is very good. It's the white Queso which I prefer. Happened to stop in Lonoke on a long road trip and this place was just across the street from our hotel. Having just come from Texas we were skeptical, but very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. We shared Fajitas Jalisco, which were delicious. Lots of beef and chicken, but only 5 shrimp. If you have a bigger appetite, stick to the beef/chicken combo fajitas instead. Had to ask for additional tortillas, but the service was fast and friendly.
