This is my pick for CHEAP EATS! Woohoo! Ole! This is the cutest little local family run mexican restaurant that has great service. They also have a "daily specials" menu that can't be beat. A great Value. What's even more cool about this place is they have a very cute little mexican bar in the back & they also have the best prices on tequila. You can get A shot of Don Julio here for $7.95! Ole! They serve them chilled in a rocks glass also, just the way moi likes them :)' We went for date night. We both ordered the wrong thing as we had not been there before. Hubby got the beef enchiladas with red & green sauce, which he loved. However, he wished he would have gotten them with the chili con carne & cheese sauce instead as they would have rocked his world that way. Next time. Moi ordered the molcajete bowl & it was a ton of food with excellent grilled tortillas. However, the shrimp were too small, wish I would have gotten more of the yummy chicken, the beef was also good & the chorizo was fabulous as was the cactus. So, do not recommend the shrimp at all. If your going to order the molcajete bowl ask for more chicken or beef in exchange for the shrimp, as they are too small & become way over cooked in the hot molcajete bowl. The way to go here is to just order simple tacos. The Beef, Chicken, chorizo, cactus etc., is all very good by themselves as is the grilled flour tortillas. They also have a fajitas dish for 2 with beef, Chicken, Shrimp, bacon & pineapple that we are dying to try. Next time! Now for the bad news. The lime margarita sucks. It's very pretty but it has a fake sugar aftertaste. I do not recommend it. Hopefully the Margarita on the rocks is better. Maybe just stick to the beers & tequila! Ole! Recommend for Cheap Eats! I found this spot in Gulf Breeze on my favorite foodie app, YELP! It had an overall 4.2 stars so that's a must try, right? We stopped in to have dinner on a Friday evening and we're seated immediately and chips and salsa came out very fast as well as our drinks. My wife and I split combo C. I ate the chili releno and part of the burrito and my wife had the quesadilla. All 3 were equally tasty and the seasoning were just right. The Spanish rice was some of the best I've had at any Mexican restaurant and that's saying a lot Because I've eaten at 100s of Mexican spots. Our waiter was quick and efficient. The only complaint I have is it is very loud, maybe it was just where we were seated. We like to talk over dinner and that was difficult. Other than that I definitely recommend! read more

This is an unassuming restaurant that exceeded my expectations with phenomenal service, great food and massive portions. We ordered chilaquiles (not on the menu), mixed grill fajitas, and a margarita. Everything was cooked well and had a good flavor. I am not a margarita fan, but tried it and was impressed, it was smooth, tasty, and huge, even thought classified as a "medium." The free chips and salsa was also a nice touch. Let me start with a disclaimer... I'm from Houston, Texas and I have access to excellent Mexican food in every corner. The service tonight was impeccable, but the food needs some work. The restaurant is cozy with Mexican flare decor. That's where it ends. I had to ask for another shot in my margarita, the cheese enchiladas tasted like they had Ragu drizzled on top, the rice and beans were fair and the chips were okay. I wanted to give 5 stars and I was hopeful for a good meal, but sometimes things don't work out the way you had hoped. Maybe if I didn't have so much experience with Mexican food, I would have enjoyed my experience better. It's a shame they have such great service and nothing to back it up. I wish my finding were better, but I stand by the truth. It is possible I got the wrong menu item, but enchiladas should be a perfected item for any Mexican restaurant. read more

They have such a good group of people working here although our serve brought our drinks and then asked if we were ready with into two mins after going to get our drinks and then came back 10 minutes later to ask for our order. My spouse got his and said the chicken didn't have much seasoning and think it is due to them not using melted cheeses (queso cheese) instead they use shredded. But mine was pretty good and I enjoyed it. Love this cute atmosphere it has with the music and there drinks are very good. Just wish they have ultra on tap instead of bottle. I've eaten here three times. Each time it's been a different experience. Each time I've eaten here, I was greeted at the door and quickly shown to a table. The restaurant is pleasantly decorated in a Mexican decor. First problem I encountered - the floor. It's greasy. My sandals slipped on it. My tennis shoes slipped on it. Even my Reeboks slipped. The complimentary chips and salsa were delicious. I asked and they told me that they make them in house. I would actually believe it. The chips were warm and not greasy. The salsa was spicy but not hot. They offer a lunch menu and a dinner menu. Now the meals. The Burrito Blanco on the lunch menu was good. It contained actual steak - not ground hamburger. Nice spice level. It had that actual Mexican cantina taste. One problem, they smoother it in machine cut lettuce. A lot of lettuce. The dinner item I tried last time was the Steak Enchiladas supreme. It was good. Very filling. But what is the difference between the steak enchiladas and the steak enchiladas supreme? The waiter could not explain it to me. Oh one thing your staff should know is not all Americans are mono linguistic. I was listening to some very interesting Spanish conversations and comments. read more

The meals here are great!!! The one pictured is to-go Chimichanga Chicken. It is fresh and delicious. I've dined here several times and everyone likes it. I ordered the wrong entree (yes, it happens), I didn't say anything and just asked to "add" what I originally intended to order. The owner came right over because he thought something was wrong with my dish. I explained the error and he insisted on replacing it and not letting me pay.
