    Meatball A La Vodka

I haven't even finished my meal and I'm writing this review! Run, don't walk to this delightful and chic vegan restaurant. Such a beautiful and relaxed ambience with a 5 star style menu! We started off with two appetizers, the meatball a la vodka which was flavorful and the perfect texture and the papas hauncaina, which are potato croquettes that reminded me of living in Miami and the Latin cuisine. Then my partner had the ramen noodles, which was the best ramen I've ever had (even pre vegan days). I had the tofu scissor noodles, a unique and flavorful twist on noodles. They were slightly spicy and are served with a delicious kimchi, adding a nice thang that complemented so nicely. The staff were personable, prompt and curteous. If you're vegan or non-vegan and are visiting in the area or live locally, I highly recommend you stop by.

Food was wonderful Ambience was great. Weather cooperated and we were able to eat outside. Ask about allergies like soy since vegan and soy go hand in hand man hand. They had several non tofu. Non soy options. I ordered the pancakes they were fluffy and light. The presentation was lovely with whipped cream and strawberries. The bacun was salty and crisp. As a vegan for over 40 years it's amazing the texture of some plant based items I had a fantastic meal. I forgot to take photos mostly jet lag I guess. Next time.

Really enjoyed my experience here! Fantastic service by Prescott and even better food by the cooks. I came with a party of 15 for a birthday brunch and they were so accommodating! We started with drinks and appetizers (get the beignets!) and then transitioned to main courses. The winter sangria was a popular beverage at the table. I ordered the hot honey chicken sandwich with potato splits--SO GOOD!!! The 'chicken' is cornflake crusted and topped with pimento cheese, coleslaw, and spiced honey, all sandwiched between Texas toast. The potato splits are delicious as well! Soft on the inside, crunchy on the edges, and well seasoned. It's definitely one of their best sides. The food is very filling but doesn't leave you feeling overly bloated. After eating, we transitioned to a cocktail hour outside. It's a beautiful space inside and I love that there's space for small and large groups outside as well. The heaters are a plus. Highly recommend for a brunch experience. Look forward to coming back to try other options!

Marian is a new vegan spot that has opened in the space previously occupied by Plates. It is beautifully decorated and is so chic. We dined in for brunch. It was the chef's quiche with a mango mimosa for me and the benedict with a glass of juice for my husband. The food and service were really good, my only complaint is that it was not busy and it took the food a while to come out. I can't wait to return to try their dinner menu and cocktails.

We tried this restaurant for the first time and loved it! The dishes are really creative as are the cocktails. Our servers were funny and had great recommendations.

    Brisket & Mac & Cheese

I ordered the mac & cheese and brisket, and honestly, it was one of the worst meals I've had in a long time. The only reason they got two stars is because the appetizers were decent. But serving something this bad...bland, poorly cooked, and downright unpleasant is unacceptable. It's hard to believe they thought this was good enough to serve to customers. I added pictures of what the dish should look like versus what I got smh

Every single thing we tried was delicious! We started with the Bruchetta and communal bread basket with my husband having the Chunk Wellington and I the French Onion Soup. I also had the Foster for dessert which was amazing. It's a beautiful environment, good service and delicious vegan food. What more do you need?

    Eggless Salad Sandwich

Stopped by for lunch takeout today and our sandos did not disappoint! Both the eggless salad sandwich and the club were tasty and unlike other vegan options around.

Terrible food. We had the food delivered and it was cold, soggy and disgusting! It could be the way it was packaged.

With little signage the space feels like a natural speakeasy. It's unpolished enough to feel a little sleazy, yet polished enough to never feel dirty. In other words, it has character, and plenty of it. The bartenders were fantastic: knowledgeable, talented, and happy to chat about the spirits behind the bar. Whether you're a serious whiskey enthusiast or just looking for a well-made cocktail, you're in good hands. Being open later than most Raleigh bars makes Foundation one of the city's go-to late-night options, but that shouldn't overshadow what it really is........a great bar at any hour. The atmosphere, the drinks, and the people behind the bar make this a place worth seeking out whether it's your first stop of the evening or your last.

It was me and one other person and it took about 15 minutes for our waiter to come to our table to take our order or even speak to us (shockingly this same waiter took a couples order sitting at the table next to us even though they arrived way later). We understood that it was slightly busy since it's a Friday night however it would've been better to at least take our order or bring us water in the meantime while also letting us know we had to wait that long. I grew very impatient and ultimately wanted to leave the establishment altogether at this point. Once we got our drinks (I ordered The Middle Child) they were both way too strong to even take a sip. As a cocktail bar, the drinks shouldn't taste like straight rubbing alcohol. I couldn't even finish my drink because it tasted so bad.

The chocolate brownie is thick and rich, but not too sweet, and the marshmallow cream is divine, especially with the ice cream. A lot of their drinks and gin based, which I'm not the biggest fan of, but I always find something I can enjoy. The service is great and relatively quick, and everyone I've met there is kind and willing to help. The inside is a bit small, so smaller crowds are better and it does tend to get crowded later in the evening and on weekends. The outside street sitting area is nice too and hopefully will be fully fixed soon. Overall a great places to stop for drinks and desserts after a nice meal! And the menu rotates seasonally so you'll always have the chance to try something new!

We were only in Raleigh for a short family trip and wanted one memorable dinner. After reading the…read morereviews, we decided on The Crunkleton--and it exceeded our expectations. We arrived on a busy Sunday evening without a reservation and were told the wait would be about 40 minutes. Instead of simply putting us on a list, Alfredia, the host, immediately made us feel welcome. She even offered me a cup of ice water after noticing we'd walked over in the summer heat. A few minutes later, she found a way to get our family seated much sooner than expected. That small act of kindness set the tone for the entire evening. Our server, Toni, was exceptional. Friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic, he guided us through the menu with thoughtful recommendations. Every suggestion was spot-on, and it was obvious he knew the menu well. The food was outstanding. The Duck Flautas were a great start. The She-Crab Soup was rich and flavorful. The Wagyu Burger with caramelized onions, truffle aioli on brioche was excellent--my son says it's the best burger he's ever had. The Mediterranean Chicken Piccata was beautifully prepared with confit fingerling potatoes, charred asparagus, goat cheese, sun-dried tomato tapenade, and piccata sauce. We were so busy enjoying dinner that we completely forgot to take photos until dessert--which probably says everything. The Beignets with cold brew icing were excellent, and the warm Brownie with salted caramel ice cream was the perfect ending to the meal. What also impressed us was that Chef Jonathan stopped by our table to check on our meal, and Ravin, the General Manager, took time to welcome us personally and make sure everything about our visit was going well. We never felt rushed. Great food may bring people through the door. Great hospitality is what brings them back. The Crunkleton gave our family one of those dinners we'll remember long after the trip is over. The atmosphere is stylish without feeling pretentious, the service is genuinely warm, and it's clear that everyone there takes pride in what they do. If you're visiting Raleigh--or if you're fortunate enough to live there--I would absolutely recommend giving The Crunkleton a try. We left talking not only about how much we enjoyed the meal, but also about the people who made the evening special. Thank you to Alfredia, Toni, Chef Jonathan, Ravin, and everyone behind the scenes for making a simple family dinner into such a memorable experience. We absolutely will be back.
