I've had the country fried steak and the meat loaf and liked them both. The staff was friendly as well. I'll definitely come back

The food is great. We have been here several times and we never get disappointed. We travel 45 minutes to get here but it's worth the drive.

You walk in, grab a tray, and you've got options. You can go through the hot bar and get served right there, pay, and be on your way... or order off the menu, sit down, and they'll bring the food to you. Very simple and efficient. The inside is spacious with plenty of seating, and there's also outdoor seating if you want it. Parking is easy too, which is a big plus, especially compared to the chaos you'll run into closer to Helen. Food wise, I always judge breakfast spots by the chicken, egg, and cheese biscuit... and this one held up. The chicken was tender, the biscuit was soft and fresh, and overall it was a solid start. The surprise for me was the hashbrown casserole. It came out good, but once I added a little salt, the flavor really popped. Definitely worth getting. The pancakes were also done right... nice crispy edges with a soft, fluffy inside. That's exactly how pancakes should be. Menu wise, they've got everything you'd expect from a Southern breakfast spot... biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon, sausage, country ham, pancakes, omelets, and even lunch style items like burgers and plate meals if you come later. They also have a Coca-Cola fountain, which is always a win. Service was friendly, especially for early morning, and the whole place just has that comfortable, old-school home cooking feel. There is also a drive thru if you don't feel like leaving your car. Overall, this is a great spot if you want a good breakfast without the crowds. Simple, tasty, and easy.

Served sizzling in the pan, juicy to the bone, fell apart like butter. Those wood-fired grills, imported from Italy, fire up everything: pizzas with dough stretched daily, crust blistered just right; breads warm, crusty outside, pillowy in. Pure comfort overload. Oh, and the bolognese--silky ragu clinging to fresh pasta, slow-cooked forever. Every bite screams Italy: the aroma, the way it settles heavy on your tongue. Makes you forget you're not actually in Naples. Their food isn't just good, it transports you, straight to someone's nonna's table. Wood fire, imported grills, honest bread--it's all so true. And the wines! They don't just hand you a glass--they pair. Every dish, every sauce has a buddy tucked in their list. Spaghetti and meatballs with a crisp Chianti, veal with Barolo that cuts right through the richness. Hell, even asked for a random white once and they nailed it. Feels like the grape was chosen months ago just for that exact forkful!

What happened?!!?…read more Let me start by saying this place used to be AMAZING! Beautiful wine list, long list of Italian liqueurs, beautiful seasonal menu done expertly, and an attentive staff. It knocked our socks off and we raved about it to everyone who would listen. My husband and I went back for a nice dinner after a period of 6 or so months and were appalled at the changes. It's a completely diff restaurant. Now they have a very small menu printed on computer paper of basic (boring) Americanized Italian dishes like spaghetti and fettuccine Alfredo and pizza, only a handful of wines (like basic red or white), no more after dinner liqueurs, a short basic cocktail list, and to be honest, service was not great. Our food took an hour to get to us and was cold. The kitchen looked like they were working without a head chef and was staffed by a couple of young boys who looked straight out of high school (no ageism intended but clearly they were misguided and are not professionals). The tomatoes in our Caprese salad were mushy and over ripe. The eggplant parm was dry and cold. We complained and were able to get some money off the bill but we are so extremely heartbroken by the drop in quality! For the prices they are charging they are smoking crack. We likely won't be back unless they go back to they restaurant they used to be. I won't be surprised to see this one go out of business if this is the route they continue to take. :(

Oh Bigg Daddys, how you continue to disappoint me. I would give zero stars if I could but then I…read moredecided that 1 star was acceptable because our server, Cole, was great. In fact, if it wasn't for sweet Cole, I would have refused to pay the total tab of $93. I've been here many times and the food has been on a steady decline. No seasoning, small portions, dry chicken, vegetables beyond the point of decent and prices way too high for the meal even if it was good food. But I digress, I used to love this place, good food, great atmosphere, reasonable prices, open on Sundays and something other than fast food and in this area, all of those points made it a great place to eat. However, the past 4 times I've been here the only thing good was the service. The food is just awful and I don't say that as an exaggeration. I had to put so much salt and pepper on my salad just to make it have any semblance of flavor. This was after I asked for extra dressing to try and add flavor but it turned out, the dressing had no seasoning either! My husband is a man who will combine 3 day old Mexican food with 2 day old pasta, reheat it 3 times in the microwave then leave it for 24 hours and still eat it with no issues, I know, gross. Tonight, he ate the fries and 2 bites of his burger, which had the bun put on upside down, and quit eating because it had no flavor at all. I have tried and tried with you all at Bigg Daddys but I will say this, I will never be back except maybe for a drink at the bar, it's kinda hard to mess up a vodka soda, hopefully I haven't spoken too soon. I do hope that things will change because we need more good places to eat around here. I will admit that the only reason we ended up at Bigg Daddys again after our previous bad experiences, was because Fenders was closed, I didn't want to drive to Clarkesville, I had Mexican food the 2 previous nights and I was really hoping that the food would be good, although I knew I was probably going to be disappointed again, and I was. At least my 5:45 AM workout will be a breeze since I barely ate my salad and I now have very little to work off.

The in-house Sourdough bread was very good. - B+ The Peach Burrata was really good, except for the peaches (but I am not a fan of peaches). I really enjoyed the flavor of the cheese and tomatoes. - A The Mushroom Risotto was bomb! We also needed to do our laundry, there's our dinner spot had to be in the area of our laundry mat. Prerequisites: He looked for a menu, and the golden rule: if you look at Google pictures and there are NO Chinese people posting pictures, it's NOT legit food. A to Z Grocery and Chinese Food reminded me of the family owned establishments I'd visit when abroad. You could go to a restaurant, but the real deal would be in the back of a corner "everything" shop. What to expect: A small hole in the wall place with everything you need, even a slot machine in the back. The place had a steady stream of people coming in to get whatever they needed from cigarettes to chips and baking soda. They even make "American Food" hamburgers, fries, etc. This was straight up in the middle of nowhere, and looked kinda busted from outside. Okaaaay, I'm down 100%! We walked in to two white folding tables in the center of a small "everything" market. I knew I was in the right place. I asked the young man at the checkout counter, "are you still serving food?" It was 15 minutes before closing. Yes! I ordered the sweet & sour chicken and Crab Rangoons. (Safe rarely disappointing meal.) 2 minutes later I hear the fryer in the back being slayed over. Noice! Cooked to order. I asked if they had any rooster sauce for sale - my mission to find some after they factory stopped making it over a year ago is real. #facts The young man didn't know what rooster sauce was, but his family member came out with a BIG jar and knew what I was referring to. Those who know, KNOW! HIM:"They don't sell this anymore" ME: "I know!" None for sale, but they gave me a to-go cup full. Awe, how nice! Perfect for my corn beef hash Filipino style I planned to make for my Friday meal. The food came out SUPER hot! FYI this is "American" Chinese food, not the food you'd find in mainland China. I don't think my guy would eat that TBH. Unless it's duck. We got exactly what we were looking for: Hot, fresh, family owned, everything market food. They were closing a few minutes after we were served (9pm). The young man said we can eat, he "wouldn't mind staying after closing". I loved that. Left him a tip just for that. This will be our regular laundry night in Cornelia food spot. The drive to it is off the road - which is something we gravitate toward. Adventure time! I highly recommend A to Z Grocery and Chinese Food if you want quick & fresh American Style Chinese food. REASONS TO VISIT: 1.Reasonable prices 2. Great service 3. Family owned 4. Full menu 5. Decent flavors 6. Legit Chinese corner everything store ambiance
