I'd give 6 Stars if I could. The place is a mom and pop shop, and is fantastic. Dad (Taz) runs the front of house and Mom is the cook. I don't know her name but she is the star of the show. The food is absolutely fabulous. I ordered the special of the day, the Butter Chicken. I've never had butter chicken at a Turkish restaurant and it was absolutely delicious. It is not the same as butter chicken from an Indian restaurant, and in my opinion it's better. We also ordered some lamb strips. They were absolutely delicious also and came with a really delicious creamy sauce. This sauce doesn't have a name but I figured they should call it the Taz sauce. I don't know if it'll stick but it should. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was perfectly clean[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and the service was really top notch. The two servers we had were both young high School aged or college-aged kids did a fantastic job. The owner, Taz, came out, welcomed us, and made us feel right at home. We're in town for a family wedding and when it came time for dinner I knew looking through Yelp would help find a really good place to eat. I never expected to find such a wonderful authentic Turkish/Mediterranean restaurant in this lovely small town in Georgia. When my husband and I went, Taz was available to offer suggestions and answer questions. And you can see the passion he has for sharing his love of food. We were one of three tables who had never been and we were each greeted like new friends. I highly suggest going on the weekend to get the butter chicken on special. My husband loved his lamb kebabs and although he has never liked Hummus before, he nearly licked the plate. Our server Jason was prompt and kind and we are surely going to return. I very rarely give a five Star rating as I save those for places that really blow me away. This was one of them! Owner meets you and seats you, discusses everything with you if needed and says his wife is the sole cook and they do everything fresh and from scratch. I let him pick mine and my wife had the chicken and rice. She is very picky so I was a tad afraid she wouldn't like it but she ate it all as did I on my sampler platter. We had a really disappointing experience today at Kabobolicious. Our group included 3 adults and young children. We were planning to order full meals and support the business. However, we were refused service simply because my 7-year-old had a small kids meal from Your Pie with her. She's a picky eater and wouldn't eat anything on the menu but we have been making small gains and she had planned to try hummus for the fist time. There was no attempt to work with us or show understanding, just a flat refusal. As a result, they lost not only our order, but also the continued support of 3 separate families. I completely understand restaurant policies, but a little flexibility and compassion--especially toward a child--go a long way. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Unfortunately, this experience felt unnecessarily rigid and unwelcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We won't be returning. An impressive addition to the small town of Clarkesville where the food speaks volumes and stands on it's own. I had the pleasure of happening upon this beautiful Turkish restaurant when I was debating the long drive to Halal Guys, and I was/still am pleasantly surprised. We sat down and had the Adana Rice plates and Hummus appetizer, I ordered the beef my dining companion ordered the chicken. The hummus was full of flavor, fresh made in house, and served with delicious pillow soft pita bread 10/10 would recommend trying. The Adana rice plates were just as delicious, beautiful fluffy flavorful rice, fantastic kebabs seasoned/cooked beautifully, and served with a side of crunchy fresh seasoned vegetables. The experience was so good I returned in a few days and had their butter chicken, which unsurprisingly is fantastic. This is a lovely spot run by a husband and wife dedicated to serving great fresh food, stellar service, and unique food in beautiful north Georgia. This place is a show stopper. I came here on a Saturday night to try this out after hearing so many great reviews. This place is amazing. The outside and inside look amazing. They have a place for a date night area to seat in. We started off with the potatoe bites appetizer and it really set the pace for the whole meal. It was so full of flavor and seasoning that we gobbled them up asap. For entrees we got the Adana special with beef and their weekend special of butter chicken. Normally we have to drive hours to Atlanta area to get this kind of wow factor for Mediterranean food. It was so good and fresh. The hummus and Adana special were seasoned well and had a great contrast between savory and delightful. Their butter chicken was some of the very best if not the best I've ever had hands down.
