One of my GoTo regular spots, a comfortable, family-owned Mexican restaurant with a lot of hours and big menu. Drive thru, order out, and interior seating. I love their breakfast burritos, tacos, and many items, but their salsa are amazing! Ten or more options in a serving area, and so many are fantastic. Filibertos mexican Tucson It's conveniently located near a main drag in Oro Valley Off of Oracle. It's also about expectations, everyone is under staffed, so I always appreciate the service staff who are working. The parking is easy and plentiful. Really good food!! The Chile Verde Plate was absolutely delicious. So good that I had thoughts about it the following day. This could be one of those things I eat weekly for awhile!! Had some heat to it as well! The rolled tacos were just okay. Not sure what we expected but it was bland and crispy without much else. The tres leche cake is the bomb!! Things dreams are made of!! It was nice to see so many people coming in and ordering to-go and in the drive thru. This is one of those neighborhood gems you don't want to lose. Two things that caused a missed 5th star- the exhaust fans need some work as the entire restaurant smelled of grease and kitchen- reminiscent of an old bowling alley- and the bill has a "non-cash adjustment " charge of $1.09. Maria's a a good place to get your quick burrito fix. Their menu has a good variety of burritos that come with bean and rice combos, and for a good price as well. The size of the burritos are filling and they have their own salsa cart indicating the spice level you can choose from. Like other Mexican food restaurants they have their signature drinks you can buy. You can choose to dine in or take out and they're pretty quick about it after you order. This location seems like it's busy on some days than others. There's some seating and a tv for you to watch when you eat your food. The food in general is also delicious. Well Maria's was a great surprise on our way back to Texas from Canada. Being Mexican, born and raised in Texas I was hesitant on trying Mexican food in Iowa. They quesadillas and sauces could stack up against the neighborhood restaurants in Texas. It is definitely worth stopping in to try it out. read more

It's taken me a while to check out one of the Maria's locations... I had a credit from MyTown2Go delivery service so I decided to order in for lunch today. We ordered the following: Chips and queso Rolled taquitos w/cheese and guac (3) Shredded chicken quesadilla Beef burrito Adobada torta (marinated pork) Handmade jalapeño poppers (6) We also tried a variety of condiments... Party salsa (mild). Red sauce (mild). Avocado sauce (spicy). Habanero sauce (spicy). They were all good. Total came to just under $34 before taxes, fees, and tip. We had a delayed delivery today, but I kind of expected that with the recent weather and roads conditions. I sure can't ding them for taking a little more time. They are willing to do what I didn't want to today... I appreciated it so it's easy to give them a pass. No big deal. I really never thought I'd be a guy who used food delivery services on a regular basis, but they sure are convenient when its cold and you don't want to get off your couch... The torta was fantastic and it looked as good as it tasted. The chicken and cheese quesadilla (my son's)... HUGE and tasted great. For me the jalapeño poppers were the star of the show. Nice and big, battered, and a slow burn that doesn't last too long. So good. The chips and queso and rolled taquitos suffered in packaging and transit, but still tasted fine. Several chips were embedded in melted Styrofoam and had to be broken off. There were more than enough chips so it was all good. The taquitos just shifted; it all ends up in the same place anyway. The beef burrito was okay but lacking. It was just ground beef and refried beans in a wrap... I saw there was an option to smother it in queso... I think we missed out by not choosing this option. The burrito was for my daughter and I thought I was dodging a bullet by avoiding what had the potential to be a soggy mess. My bad. Next time I'll smother one of those bad boys. Definitely a good bang for your buck place (tons of leftovers)... It's unthroned that other similar spot as far as... "Best Mexican food you can get at 300 am on a Sunday." We already enjoyed Maria's via drive-thru, but we recently ordered through one of the many delivery apps. Food continues to outshine even some of the sit down Mexican restaurants for the price and amount of food. Keep this in mind, it's 24/7 drive-thru food, not gourmet food. Best and most authentic Mexican street food I have had in the metro!! Their Chips and queso are phenomenal! Really creamy and not spicy! The Rolled tacos are super crispy with amazing guacamole!! Maria's used to be my go to for a good burrito. The last two times that I've tried to get a breakfast burrito, they have been closed and I was there at 9:15 or 9:30 and the lights were on. Their site and sign near the door says they are open at 9 AM. read more

The drive-through aspect is great--especially right now in the time of the world pandemic. I ordered a torta (kinda like a sandwich with meat, avocado, tomato, etc). It was delicious. I had no problem with their service it is just that if I'm going to bring food in, I would like it to be better than we could do ourselves or at least something unique or outside our recipe library. Best dang breakfast burrito around. Portions are huge and well worth the price and wait time. Comparable to albelardos but this is WAY BETTER IMO. Love this place, we get delivery about once a week and it's delicious. They never mess up our order either which is a huge plus.

I tried this place based on reviews I had seen. I was not impressed with the food and will not be going back. I had a beef chimichanga meal. The fried beans were so dry they were getting crusty on top, the rice was okay, the chimichanga had meat rolled inside refried beans and it was so salty. I ate what I could of the chimichanga and threw the rest away. Waste of my money. read more

These guys have the best food and it's such a reasonable price! Everything we've ever gotten here is excellent and made fresh to order. They're chicken anything is amazing. Love the fresh cooked tortillas and the churros are to die for (Raspberry or Bavarian cream are the bomb!) We almost always drive thru but there's inside seating as well. read more

Excellent service, great timing, speed of food delivery and taste. I've been alternating between them and abelardos. Abelardo wins with chile rellenos. Maybe burritos. But the taco expert says they have better cabeza and lengua tacos even though they're slightly more expensive (10 or 20 cents). read more

We are Abelardo's converts. We live in the neighborhood and this place has become our late night stop or quick dinner go-to. I like the chicken tacos with hard shell corn, and recently discovered the shredded beef tacos. The significant other has changed his usual burrito for the chorizo tacos and fried taco with beef because the tacos are just that good. Way better than spendier places like Taco Hangover and Malo.
