I rarely give 5 stars but Maria's deserves it! My family and I have been going here for a few years. We moved across town, so unfortunately, they don't deliver to us anymore. This just means we go and pick it up when we are heading in that direction. Their pizza is excellent! We're spoiled with so many great pizzerias in the area but they stand out here. Their buffalo wings are awesome too - decently priced. Shrimp parm - might be my all time favorite ever here. Just take one bite and you will be hooked. Their subs are also very good. Now that I've given a quick overview of the food, the reason why they get the fifth star from me is because of their customer service. The folks are always pleasant, and if on the slim chance there's an issue with your order, they will definitely work to rectify the situation. As I mentioned, we have a lot of great places around, but service is crucial. I also like that they post their lunch specials daily on social media outlets. It's nice to go and try something new. I have been ordering from here for a few years now and I decided that this restaurant really deserves a review. From the friendly voices you hear when you order, to the delivery people who work here, they have wonderful staff working for them. I order the Shrimp Fra Diablo with spaghetti, it is always fresh and it is the best in this area! It comes with salad and bread, whoever makes it really knows what they are doing. Unacceptable sanitary conditions. I witnessed the cook prepare my cheesesteak without gloves, and assemble it all while holding my roll in a dirty kitchen towel. I brought this up to the man who took my order and instead of handling it with an apology, he told me I "don't know sh*t" and that gloves can't be used near a grill due to cooking temperature. I went across the street to Pats and as expected, all employees were cooking with gloves on. I will be sure to let my friends/family in the area know about this experience. Stay away. read more

Knowing that the ownership has changed here, I decided to try this place again. I stopped in for a couple of slices because I wasn't up to getting a pie. The new owners are very friendly and aim to please. The quality of the pizza was decent by Brick/Pt. Pleasant standards. The crust, however, could have been thinner, but overall it was OK. If you read some of my other reviews, you probably know that I'm crazy-critical about pizza. Crazy being the operative word. :D It's a Jersey thing. This puts it 1,000 X better than what the previous owners were offering. Of course, that is setting the bar quite low, since the old owners had the dubious distinction of having one of the worst pizzerias in the area. Personally, if I bought this place, I would have changed the name. To be honest, I rarely look at price when going out to eat, or in this case, getting takeout. My main concern is the quality of the food. Ambiance, price, and even service, to a degree, are secondary considerations for me. However, having said that, the prices here are very good relative to their competitors. So if it's before payday, you may want to factor that in. I'll be back since a couple of reheated slices often don't tell the whole story. I agree that a better test is to get a freshly made pie. Also, I want to try their Cheesesteak, which I was told was their specialty. I am especially curious since they are almost directly across the street from Pat's Pizza. Pat's used to have the best Cheesesteaks in the area, hands down. Then they changed ownership.... da.. da...da... I would not be the first to make the observation, that quality at Pat's has suffered since the change of owners a couple of years ago. So I am really curious about that Cheesesteak here. read more

If I could give them a zero star rating I would. It took over an hour for a 2 sub delivery and the woman that answers the phone is beyond rude and should not be helping customers. This is how you lose business. At a time when this is a true luxury for most people, take this as a word of advice. You could lose all your patrons by word spreading of such terrible service. read more

*CHEESESTEAK REVIEW (did not try anything else) 35 min to closed I called in a California Cheesesteak with mushrooms and onion for pickup. Typically these have lettuce, tomato, mayo. To be sure, I even asked "does this have LTM" which they confirmed. Much to my dismay, when I got home it had no LTM, nor any onion. If they were busy I would give them some leeway, but I was the ONLY ONE there and the place was dead. Already home and hungry, figured I would give it a try anyhow. One half the sub had an normal portion of meat, the other side was skinny. The cheese was tasteless, in fact the the whole thing was VERY BLAND. Ate 1/2, dog got the rest. With a overabundance of pizza places on 88, you need to be on top of your game, jus sayin! P.S. The staff was friendly. read more

My family and I have gotten pizza here a lot recently and at first it was always great! However, the last 4-5 times we have ordered, we arrive before the estimated time and our pizza is always waiting...waiting to the point it's no longer hot. Luke warm at best. If we're told an hour we get there before the hour is up in hopes of getting there before it comes out so it will be hot when we get home (we only live 5 minutes away at most). Sometimes you get lucky and your pizza is on the bottom on the pile so the top of the oven can keep it warm. I feel bad for the other orders on top; no chance they'll have hot food. Pizza here is always super tasty, just wish a more accurate time would be given so we could enjoy it hot for once. Ordered a pepperoni pizza and wings from here a few nights ago. The pizza itself had a soggy crust, and was delivered with half of the cheese and toppings falling off of the pie. In the middle there was a giant pool of grease, which totally turned my appetite (and pizza is my favorite food!) The wings seemed freshly prepared and they have a great selection of sauce choices. He cooks it on foil and cut it with a clean cutter to ensure it was not contaminated (obviously it's a pizza place, so there will be regular flour in the air, but risk was thoroughly minimized). New owner's at Maria's... Ehhhh... Needs work. I got a meatball sub to go. It should be a safe choice but I found it very inconsistent. One half was bland and the other half was a little too salty. How does that even happen? It's only a 7 inch sub... How could each 1/2 be so different? Mind blown! The only explanation I can think if is that when they were making the meatballs, the seasoning was not dispersed evenly. Definitely a distant finish vs the old Maria's (when Juan was the owner). Have ordered several times without issue. Tonight was a nightmare. Ordered pick up for large pie and appetizer sampler(mozz sticks, fried ravioli, jalapeño poppers and wings) I asked to sub the wings for broccoli bites and they said that was fine. When we got home with the order the fried raviolis were missing and the wings were not switched for broccoli bites. THE WINGS WE DIDNT EVEN WANT WERE DISGUSTING AND INEDIBLE. when I called to tell them I was met with atrocious customer service. They said I can come pick up the missing items and I said I'd rather not come back out and asked if they can deliver. They told me it would be an hour. When I said never mind please refund my card they all jumped and said never mind we are coming now.
