Stopped in and decided to try the Chicken Caesar Wrap with fries and a pinwheel. The wrap was served cold, and unfortunately the chicken was cold as well. The chicken itself was just okay--nothing bad, but nothing that really stood out flavor-wise. For $14 for an 8-inch wrap, I think the price is fair, but I was expecting a little more. The highlight of the meal was definitely the fries. For just an extra $2, adding a side of fries was absolutely worth it. They were the best part of the entire meal. The pinwheel was bad. When heated up very oily and has a sweet taste . I actually chose it cold on purpose so I could heat it up later, and for a grab-and-go option, it worked well. I considered getting pizza, but the slices on display looked like they had been sitting out for a while and didn't appear fresh, so I decided to pass and go with the wrap and pinwheel instead. Overall, wouldn't go again, personally two options, but form your own. On December 18 I was on my way to the gym coming from physical therapy and I need a slice. I saw this place, and stopped in. Friendly staff. A lot of people enjoying food. I'm rating as many pizzerias as I can in the area, based on their plain pizza. This was an above average plain slice, a little more oregano than most people use, texture of crust was very good and there probably could've been a little more cheese. Opted to try something besides pizza, which is hit or miss, sometimes I get a calzone with pepperoni which is sometimes raw dough in the thick spots but I do manage to choke one down. Tonight, I got the eggplant parm and a side of fried rav. The menu I had must have been an old one because it says 8 for $8.95. I didn't realize my wife ordered off the online menu and got 5 for $9 something. Bland no flavor or seasoning, not worth $9.00. The eggplant was soggy and tasteless almost like a warmed-up leftover with some sauce and couple slices of mozz melted onto the foil wrap. Big sandwich but now I know what not to get. read more

Sandwiches excellent, but when you top and Reburn a pizza you should make sure it's hot and crispy, toppings warm, tomato sauce cold and crust cold and soggy. I realized places do this but don't know why, customers will wait if you tell them or could be something else like a whole slice pie sitting awhile so top it and put in oven. This is as close as you can get to being the perfect pizzeria. The staff is awesome and always friendly. The owner is a great guy who always welcomes you when working. The pizza is amazing and the dinner entrees are out of this world. Staff has gone above and beyond to make getting pizza from there special for our kids. I mean clutter free and no greasy residue on the counters the glass doors didn't have finger prints which is very impressive lol. The worker behind the counter was greeting me before both feet were in the door ... (( I must be dreaming, right? )) So I tell him I'm picking up the curbside order ... he apologized right and left saying he didn't get a notification I was here. When I told him there was nothing to apologize for bC I decided to come in you could see the relief lol So now the real reason you're reading my review ... So I ended up ordering a medium PLAIN pie (( it's the test pie )) - The ride home was about 12min ... Very, very unhappy with an experience we just had here. We have had their food at friends' parties before, but this was our first experience ordering catered food from them. Prices on their website are very wrong. We ordered a half tray of wings ($40 on website), half tray of ziti ($40 on website) and half tray of chicken tenders ($30). so figured about $120 with tax. No one mentioned price issues when we placed the order by phone Thursday. Picked it up today and the actual total was $170. We were told "yeah, the prices on the website need to be fixed." I drove to the other side of Brick because of the good reviews, and, most importantly, because one of the reviews claimed that this place bakes its own bread for the subs. That got my attention. Upon walking in, I asked if they do their own bread, and the owner confirmed it. Yiipppee!!! So I get half of a traditional Italian sub, salami, cappicola, & cheese, w/hot peppers. Also I ordered a slice of pie, just to check the quality. I was not impressed. The sub, costing $8.50 with the hot peppers, had exactly ONE (1), count em...I mean, count IT, ONE slice thickness of each of the meats. Even with the measly amount of ingredients, they were spilling out of the loaf. This thing has to be re-engineered, in addition to needing a re-evaluation of how much protein the customer expects. Other than that the flavors were ok, but it was just an average sub at best. Disappointingly, the home baked bread did not jump out at you. Ditto for the pizza. It was just an average pie. It wasn't exactly soupy, but the cheese did sort of slide around the top of the sauce. Speaking of which, it reminded me of Ragu Spaghetti sauce. I might get a slice if I am in the neighborhood and was really craving a pizza fix, but certainly wouldn't drive across town. read more

first time ever eating here. pizza? 10/10. i had the pepperoni with mozzarella (margarita style) & it was fantastic! would definitely get that again. since it was my first time eating there I wanted to get a slice of pizza as well as my other sandwich that I was getting. I got a chicken Caesar wrap with croutons. the Caesar wrap was not good at all. I took one bite and couldn't eat the rest of it. so if we go in there for pizza definitely. If you're going there for a chicken Caesar wrap, don't waste your time or your money not worth it. I've never eaten here before, it was amazing! I had bolognese over angel hair pasta. Had the house balsamic dressing on my included side salad and an amazing 1/2 loaf and pre cut bread. The bread was soft inside and flaky crisp crust. I will gladly eat here again! Side note, order online or the phone, pay ahead and DRIVE THRU window, so convenient! First and foremost, let me say that DeCaro's makes a damned good pizza, has exceptionally friendly owners, and that I really wish I could give them 5 stars all the way. That said, there's a few things that really hold this place back. The good: The pizza here is among some of the best in the area, I won't lie. Slices are a decent size, and for a quick lunch I can usually get two tasty specialty slices for under $10. The calzones and subs are pretty good as well, and the sauce they use is of a decent, homemade quality. The owners / staff here are incredibly friendly, even going so far as to give a sample slice of various pizzas to regulars, on occasion. They do a great job cleaning up the place as well, and the display cases / counters / tables are always spotless. The unfortunate thing about this place is that they never seem to be open. Maybe the hours on this side of Brick are different than the hours people expect on the 08724 side, but on two occasions I've had friends over and attempted to place an order at ~8:45 on a Friday night - only to have the phone ring and ring. Taking a trip down to the restaurant itself had confirmed that they were closed. What pizza place closes before 10PM on a Friday night? We ended up ordering from Napoli instead, who at ~9:15PM was more than happy to deliver a few pizzas across town. Maybe I just have terrible luck, but every single time I try to come here lately, they're not open. They're closed early as hell on Friday and Saturday nights, next weekend there's a note in the door about being closed for the day, and this Sunday the lights were off at noon, despite their menu / website stating that they're open at 12 on Sunday. Sheesh. On top of that, the last two times I managed to come here when they *WERE* open, I had what could only be described as "surprise pricing". Apparently they updated their menus here, but didn't actually bother to update their website nor their physical menus. I didn't take much notice the first time when the price seemed off, since I figured I read the menu wrong. The second time, my sausage parm that I expected to pay $6.25 for a half (as per website and menu, including the menus on the counter), ended up being an entire *dollar* more when I went to pay. When I asked, they simply told me "all prices have gone up by a dollar" - quite a steep hike. All in all - this place could be *amazing* if they got their act together a little more. Get your website / menu in order, adopt some normal hours (so that you're not closing by 9PM on a Friday / Saturday, or not open for lunch on a Sunday), and get the menu pricing under control - 25 - 50cent increases is one thing, but a dollar? As good as the food is, if I can't actually order anything during the same time every other pizza joint is open, what's the point? I doubt I'll be going back anytime soon, since it's not worth my time to "roll the dice" and see if they're actually open. A real missed opportunity. read more
