I ordered pizza, mootzy stix and knots. The Big Mac pizza was to die for. I got a small and everyone in my fam was able to grab a slice to try. Their special mac sauce was perfect and the pickle combo was magical. Their garlic knots were soooooo garlicky and that's how I like them. If you like a mild knot these aren't for you. I could have killed a vampire by saying hello LOL. Mootzy sticks had a great cheese pull and their gravy is fabulous. Yes I call the red stuff gravy. Ordered take out and was not disappointed. Cute little pizzeria with fantastic food. We ordered the Big Mac pizza which tasted like a Big Mac but 10x better. The crust was crispy and the flavors were delicious. We had the La nonna pizza which had a super crispy and buttery crust. The wings were juicy and tender bursting with flavor. I absolutely love Papa V's. I got their buffalo chicken pizza and it had the perfect ratio of pizza and chicken. The sauce on the sicilian pizza tasted fresh and homemade. My friends and I were just trying to order a pizza waiting for one of the workers to acknowledge us, and the manager made a comment "ladies if you would like to apply for a job come back another time" very loud and aggressive. This spot is super convenient if you live anywhere near Herbertsville. They have great hours of operation and the service is always very helpful, friendly, and patient. I ordered the Saltimbocca, which is my personal favorite sandwich that I usually get when I go here. Very good. My boyfriend got the cheesesteak and the waffle fry pizza. While the cheesesteak was average compared to previous ones we got, the waffle fry pizza was very good and unique. Decided to order from papa v's the other night. We ordered pizza, pasta and some appetizers. The pizza we ordered was chicken parm and it was actually really good and super flavorful. The toppings on the pizza were super generous and not skimpy. For the pasta we ordered penne vodka and were extremely disappointed with it. It tasted like marinara sauce and not vodka sauce. I wouldn't order that anymore. As for the appetizers they are just fried foods nothing special. I would definitely come back for the pizza but nothing else. The staff was super friendly and nice. Food is good but delivery is awful every time. Tonight topped the cake. Placed an order at 530pm that still hadn't arrived by 7pm. When I called to ask about the order, a kid answered the phone and rudely told me that "we are busy and you're far away". My address is a 9 minute drive from the restaurant.... When I picked up my order five minutes earlier than quoted, I was charged much higher prices than what I saw online. Rather than acknowledge the confusion, the woman insisted on arguing with me about the fact that I did not use their website. I said that I did not want to argue about it because it's after-the-fact. When I returned home, I dug out the paper menu which I had recently acquired from them. Even those prices were lower than what I was charged. My food was barely room temperature. These guys are the master craftsmen of new school NY pizza. I no longer live in NJ, but when I did these guys were my first choice for Italian takeout all throughout the 2010s. The Big Mac pizza is easliy my favorite order as Im a fanatic for normal big macs, but Id argue their pie is better than the real thing. A close 2nd for me though would probaly the be buffulo or BBQ chicken pizza, but you can't go wrong with any order there. My sisters and I also love their burgers and mozzerella sticks. Family owned and consistently excellent since it opened. They're willing to experiment with all different kinds of pizzas and they've come up with some great combinations and options. You can also basically order a custom pie at any time with whatever you want on it and the same goes for the subs/sandwiches. Impressed! I stopped in with my daughter for lunch yesterday while we were passing through. I didn't expect the pizza to be that great, but I was wrong. It was delicious and very reasonably priced. Best subs in Brick and pretty good pizza - for Brick. They really know how to put together an Italian sub. How to make an Italian sub might seem simple and self evident to the uninitiated, but it really is an art, as attested to by all the poor quality subs around. You have to hit the right balance of flavors between the meats, cheese, lettuce, etc. Most pizzerias skimp wayyy too much on the meat. One standout deli in the area, Lenny's Colonial Ranch in Point, gives you meat the size of your head in their subs. While I appreciate their generosity, it's too much meat, if that's possible. It overshadows the rest of the ingredients. Call me the Goldilocks of subs. At Papa V's they get it right. IMAO it's not absolutely necessary to use premium brand name cold cuts to make a good sub, it is a further assurance of quality. And here they use Thuman's. I have not had all their subs, but the Eggplant Parmesan is pretty good also... Although not the best (OK, I'm a big pizza snob), but they also make a pretty good pizza. This is especially so, considering that this is Brick, where it seems like there are two pizzerias on every corner, but so few good ones. Brick is not known for having good pizza: this place is really good. Their crust actually has flavor, they have the right amount of sauce, and aren't shy with their cheese. Salads are delicious and cheese steaks are amazing. Fries were flavorful, though I suggest asking for them well done. 3.5 stars really! we picked up a slice of plain, a slice of chicken bacon ranch, and an order of garlic knots. It was all good, but I was disappointed that there wasn't the huge spread of crazy variety up for slices like I saw in these pictures! We drove about half hour to go here because of the pictures I see here on Yelp of all the different varieties up at the front available for single slices. I really would've wanted to try a slice of quite a few. They did have all of the ones we saw available for full pie purchases. Called to rectify situation and receive what I ordered. Excuse: "they didn't see the 'california' part on the order. I made sure to explain my order again-what I paid for- Cali cheesesteak with extra cheese and extra meat. Made sure to ask that they SAW the "extras"....they claimed they saw. New delivery shows up- 100000% NOT extra meat-which I paid for-and the bread is STALE. Disgustingly stale. OH!! And the driver had to "make sure He got the other sandwich back." Never again!!!!!!!
