I cannot say enough good things about COURTNEY at the Maribou in the Palladio! She is always so professional and sits down with me before she starts doing my hair to look at the pictures I bring in and talk about what that would mean, like if I want bleach it could take a few tries because my hair was initially dark and on the flipside if I bleach my hair once, don't go right back to dark the next time! I am writing a review specifically here because I have been getting my hair done by Courtney for awhile, but I recently did a purple/copper balayage look I found on Pinterest. The first try (from dark red brown) was almost perfect! The second time I went to the salon it was 110%. I recently purchased clip-in hair extensions and wanted them to match my somewhat unique purple and copper hair so I took them to Courtney to color match and then have her place them in my hair and cut them to my haircut so that they would look really good. She matched them perfectly to the color and even with the dramatic length increase, the cut blends in really well STRAIGHT which is saying something because you can hide a lot of damage with curls! I couldn't be happier and I always refer my friends to Courtney because I think she is honest, up front, professional, and overall just does a really gorgeous job on hair. Faith is a literal god send. I tend to be picky when it comes to where and who I get my hair done by and I've hit the jackpot at Palladio Maribou. Faith is extremely knowledgeable in her craft and continues to expand her expertise. She never fails to make you feel welcomed and comfortable during your visit and has a bright, contagious energy which is always the cherry on top of a salon day. Each time I get my hair done by her I feel like she outdid the last time she blessed my hair with her pizazz. I will even go weeks past a freshen up because I don't trust anyone but her to touch my hair. KRISTY is by far the best hairstylist I have ever been to. So..... I bleached my own hair (big mistake I know) and of course it turned out terrible!!! It was two completely different colors and so damaged that it was breaking off at the ends. I was about to start a new job and did not know if the mess I made could even be fixed. She explained that due to the damage done to my hair it was unlikely that it would withstand being lightened again without significant breakage. We looked at color swatches and agreed on a beautiful color that could be achieved with what damage had already been done. She executed the color process perfectly!!! I couldn't believe my hair was such a beautiful rich color and with the deep conditioning treatment (and a bit of a trim) looked and felt so healthy again. Sara L. is an amazing stylist! Being that I've been a stylist myself we speak the same hair language, but it was beyond that that I was impressed. Sara is attentive and professional. My hair takes to red incredibly strong, as a lot of women's hair does. When my touch up color wasn't exactly right because of this, Sara took the time to reapply a new formula and make sure I left the salon looking and feeling amazing! Her skill with shears also wowed me, my cut is even, with a clean edge, something that, surprisingly, has been hard to find, even with my hand in the industry. Of course to top it all off, Sara is one of the sweetest people I've ever met and who wouldnt want to spend 2-3 hours with someone like that! I rebooked with her until January, and am looking forward to my next appointment P.S. Her shampoo head massage is amazing!! If nothing else at least go in for a wash and style! read more

Before coming to Maribou I had two bad experiences in a row with hairstylists and the most previous one left me with a horribly done balayage. I was VERY hesitant to come to a new place but Maribou has a great reputation so I took a leap of faith and was completely won over! Destiny was my hair stylist and was the only one at the salon when I arrived (I like the earliest appointments) and she greeted me warmly, made me coffee, and made me feel right at home. She listened to my stories and took the time to really make sure she understood what I wanted by doing a thorough consult. Easy to talk to (the past one I had would just talk smack about other people to her other coworker and ignore me! Trashy!) and at the end she made sure I was happy and she did a BEAUTIFUL job, never been happier!! All I can say is....Destiny Astorgia, you are wonderful! I am of middle eastern descent with coarse, unruly, curly hair so I am somewhat of a nightmare client to style. And, if I dare to have anyone attempt to straighten my hair, I end up a huge frizz ball or weighed down and oily with product. Destiny, by far, is the best stylist I have ever had. Her blow drying skills are second to none. She straightens my hair so it looks naturally full, sleek and beautiful! So I was definitely hesitant about doing anything to my hair for months now and when I finally mustered up enough courage I was left with the daunting task of finding someone I trusted could do what I wanted. Simple highlights sounds easy enough but I've had my share of highlight nightmares so I went online and came across Shelby's facebook account. Immediately I booked my appointment with her. Booking was easy enough the girl was really nice. The day of my service I walked so nervous but the sec I sat in the chair Shelby made me feel so much better. She understood exactly what I wanted and was so pleasant that before I knew it we were done and I couldn't stop smiling!!! She nailed it. I cannot rave enough about Hannah Amaya! I am a natural brunette and wanted to get some blonde in my hair... something lived in and dimensional that is super low maintenance. Every step of the way she listened to my requests and did everything she could to honor my wishes and exceed my expectations. Kristi was my stylist, she absolutely NAILED it! I didn't really have a set idea of what I wanted BUT she took one look at my hair and said "we need to do A, B, C" and "based off of what you told me I think this style would look great!" And she was 100% correct!!! A deep condition and some beautiful toners amped up my look AND confidence. Plus she is the easiest person to talk to so my three hour treatment went by in a jiffy. Oh! Sara L was born to do hair. I brought in an inspiration picture and walked out looking even better than that pic! I got a cut and color 4 weeks ago and I am still thrilled with the results. Sara knew how to tailor the cut to my particular hair type and I had a blast spending my time there. She showed me how I could recreate the style at home and how to use the products. I appreciated the obvious enjoyment Sara had through the process and that reflected in the service. The salon is beautiful and everyone was friendly and welcoming. I was welcomed immediately at the door when I walked in for my appointment with Heather Hill. The atmosphere was very relaxed and I felt right at home. They have mimosas if you'd like, water, cookies on the table in the waiting area. Everyone is friendly and their customer service is wonderful! Heather did an INCREDIBLE job yet again on my hair! She does something called "Checker boarding" with hair color. It's not often used with hair coloring, but she makes it look so stunning every time! This is my new salon in Folsom! Sarah was wonderful and took great care of my hair and I'm happy I came here instead of commuting to Davis to my old stylist. I scheduled an online appointment, and I decided to select Emily. She made some suggestions and gave me a gorgeous cut that beautifully framed my face. I have really dark hair and don't get out in the sun as much as I used to, so basically I had no "summer touch" to it what so ever. :( Emily expressed that a bayalge would give my hair some dimension and a natural sun-kissed look, but I had never heard of it before and didn't want anything extreme. I have been back in California for almost a year and could not find a hairstylist that could understand what I wanted until I went to Maribou at the Palladio. Sara Lubinski is by far the best stylist I have had to date. She had a mess to work with as a previous stylist I went to in Roseville did a really bad job. This is a really nice salon environment. Very welcoming and modern. My appointment started right on time and Amber took the time to listen to my individual concerns with my hair and helped me with ideas for a good color and cut for me. My stylist is Amber Friedrichs and she is wonderful. She also helped me choose the best hair care products for my particular hair issues. I am an older client and do have some thinning hair challenges. The products Amber recommended have helped me with that issue when styling my hair at home. About almost a year ago, I decided that I wanted to dye my hair a bright red color, after recommendations and research I found Courtney! She has done my hair three times now and has done an AMAZING job with my hair each time. With my curly hair being naturally dry, she still somehow manages to keep my hair soft and healthy after all of the bleach and hair dye with my curl pattern staying perfectly intact! I got my hair done here yesterday and I couldn't be happier with it!
