We visited the Home and Garden show last year. It's very interesting to see what things they have for homes nowadays. We were renting last year but this year we are buying a home and really want to see what new ideas there are out there for homeowners. There was also a nice variety of decor and food. Stay away from "Red Light" dermatology sales! They charge twice to 3 times what you came buy online for their products. I was foolish and paid $200. For a eye cream. "Venofye Blossom bee wye corrector" That i could have bought online for $65.00.. they are a scam. Shame on Home And Garden shows for letting these guys in. I will not attend another show. We can not trust the venders. Obviously Home and Garden will let anyone In. read more

I had a meeting with one of the vendors set--he had invited me to his booth at a specific time for the meeting. While conducting the meeting, Security approached me and asked me to come with him. I excused myself from the meeting and followed the man. Every few yards I would ask where we were going, but he wouldn't answer clearly. Finally, when we were outside, he said I would not be allowed back in because I was soliciting. I told him again that I had been invited for the vendor for a specific meeting. I understand the policy, but the Security guard WENT OUT OF HIS WAY to be an absolute jerk about it. He was rude, as well as dishonest, having told me every few yards, "Just a little more." As a matter of principle, I won't frequent a business who treats paying customers disrespectfully, and I suggest you do the same. And yes, I called the show, many times, but my messages were never returned. You don't need to be sold to--I suggest you find a better place to shop, one that treats fellow humans with respect. read more

While we have always enjoyed the show in the past, the most recent show in July 2024 in Glendale was an absolute disaster. Like others said, long lines to get inside. Once inside, the new setup was absolutely atrocious. We. had to walk past so many booths of window sellers, HVAC, roofers, insurance sales before you got to the gist of the show. There were so many people and the upper aisle, with sales on either side, was so tight that you couldn't even see everything. Then we had to walk down a long set of stairs to get to the items we were all interested in. Whoever thought this new setup was a good idea, needs to be fired. read more

Fantastic event for attendees and vendors to connect. No better place to shop for your next home improvement job.

So we went to the one in Scottsdale this weekend. Could the entrance be any further away from the parking? NO. and then you walk the entire thing and expect to exit back to your car, but no, you have to walk all the way back to the beginning and then another 1/2 mile to your car. Half of the event was in tents with no air-condition or fans. We went to the smaller one in Glendale last summer and it was the same events only smaller, 3 roofing company's instead of 12 and 3 pool builders instead of 12. To end: way tooo much walking, no exit, ridiculous layout for entrance exit parking, never did get to see any demos, they were all the way at the end and we were exhausted before we got there. Do this again? NO, recommend it? No read more

Pretty large event - but we were expecting more landscaping/gardening exhibits, more ideas on homes aside from multiple pool and walkway companies, a lot if the same thing over and over. Beware of scam: Maricopa county Home Shows! The entrance is not free and they do not accept cards - cash only, no receipts (tax scam?). ATMs next to ticket booths work every other time. I've tried my card twice an all I got were two receipts, no money, so I probably need to call the bank. Moreover, there are checkpoints, so no water, knives or guns, or purses larger than 6"x4" are allowed. Therefore, make sure that you californicated yourself, as hard as possible, before you go there. BOOOORING show floor filled with overpriced vendors and same companies set up in multiple locations. Tons of NON-home related vendors. Looks like show organizers just wanted to sell booths with no criteria. "Educational seminars" were actually just pitchfests by vendors. Empty event with no buyers walking around makes me sorry for vendors who were duped into booth rental. $10 bucks just to park! Waste of time and money. read more

We have been a vendor of the Maricopa County Home Shows for over 10 years. We pay well in advance for space at these home shows, so we felt we had to be there or we would lose our money. Ever since the whole covid issue, we have been short of help. On the Monday before the show, it didn't look like we were going to be able to make it, so my wife emailed our rep, Chris to let him know of our situation. He then replied to her on the same day to verify if we were volentarily cancelling, or did we have someone we could send in our place. She then replied back the same day, stating it looks like we can have someone there, so please hold off. Per the instruction via email, we now need to text them our plans, so my wife text stating that we are coming. We did not get a reply, so we assumed all is well. Today, Thursday, which was the only day we could go to set up, I and one of our employees go to the show to set up our booth, only to be told by our rep, that they sold our booth to someone else. (However, our booth is still empty). But they had saved us another spot! What! another spot! Why can't you just put the other person in the other spot, since we are here and ready to set up? They won't answer that, they insisted that we had cancelled. So I asked if we cancelled, why did you save us another spot? I didn't get any reply. So then I go to the other so called "corner spot" (which is more expensive than an inline space) it wasn't a corner, it was in the back next to an empty space, so technically it was an inline space. The space we paid for was a corner space. We decided to leave and not be apart of a show that treats their long standing vendors like this. Attended the Westworld home and garden and absolutely wasted our time. Only clear bags were allowed and this wasn't mentioned till you got there. and had to go thru a metal detector and take off shoes! Vendors not even worth seeing. Most definitely will not return here! read more

I have been a "customer" of Maricopa County Home Shows for many years. I say "customer" because of the way the "Manager", through her own lack of people and social skills has slowly trained her staff to act the same way toward the exhibitors. Their customers. When Rene (the owner) managed the shows, her daughter Katie worked there as an account manager. The shows were a class act and Rene cared. Well, since daughter Katie has taken over as the General Manager, the relationship between this company and its exhibitors has become horrible. When Rene was managing it, she didn't have an attitude toward the exhibitors of "you're just some schmuck of a flooring guy" and you'll do what I say or I will kick you out of the show. Even when it makes absolutely no sense what-so-ever. I understand their has to be a process in getting a large show set up and by given certain times and days to set up prior is an effort to do that as smoothly and efficiently as possible. You see Katie, I'm not a schmuck. I'm an educated guy (BS in business from ASU.). I worked several years for fortune 100 companies in management. I've owned a very successful business for 20 years. My company starts and completes 40 to 60 jobs a week. I understand processes. But you, Katie, don't know how to listen, nor do you have the ability to make a decision on the fly. On top of that you have that "attitude" about us "dirty, scummy contractors" and you simply don't give a flying f*** about your customer or their employees. FYI, Katie, and I'm far from alone here... I haven't made the kind of money your mom has on these shows, but I have two homes and my primary is worth almost 7 figures and I make a lot of money. I remember when I didn't. And so would your mom. You wouldn't know that and maybe that is why you haven't a humble bone in your body and just don't care. Several shows back, my daughter, going into emergency surgery, called two day before my scheduled set up, asked to set up at the end of schedule and not the start and explained what happened with daughter. Cut off mid sentence with NO. We have a reason for the times, it's too late to change. Katie, I said, she will be in surgery for 3 hours that morning, I have to be there until I know she's ok. NO. I did it anyway. She was actually going to not allow me to set up. "Nope, you're not going to be able to do the show." After standing around there for an hour, in nobodies way I mind you, she did me "the favor" of allowing me to set up. Did she ask about my daughter? LOL. Of course not. The show this weekend is in Scottsdale. They have a vendor parking area, no problem. But the problem is, even though we can see the buildings the show is in, me and my employees, who will be standing on our feet for the next 10 hours are told we must enter at the front. It is literally, about a mile walk. The buildings are 200 yards from us. There's a gate right there. Locked. Katie, I pay $400 every show just for carpet. Let alone the several thousand I spend on my booths. You couldn't have spent, maybe $400 to have an employee man a vendors only entrance for the weekend? But again, it's your attitude and lack of care. You are lucky in that most business owners don't do reviews, otherwise, there would be a lot of these. One last thing, actually, Katie, think of this as a free lesson. There once was a great company that practically had the entire market of what they did. They really had no competition and couldn't possibly see anyone ever competing with them. And they became complacent. And they were right. Nobody ever came close nor ever has at competing with them for what they did, when they did it. But the world changed. That company... Kodak. MC Homeshows has a very large potential to do sooo much more. To become, first a friend to all contractors (you'll have to hire someone) and take that relationship beyond the home show. We recently moved here and the house we bought needed a complete remodel including an older pool. A friend told us about the Home Shows and we started going to them. They have several a year and after attending several we had all our projects lined up with contractors. We are well under way to make our new home in Scottsdale "our dream home". We have so much fun at the events, we look forward to them and go now just for ideas, and an occasional new fix. After hearing the horror stories from some people who hired "the guy with the deal", we were pleased to find out that the people who run the shows vet the people who display and are conscientious about having good contractors, etc. in their shows. I highly recommend you call them and get on their email list, as I did for discount tickets. read more

As a recent attendee to the H&G Show at the Fairgrounds, I found the set up to be very dangerous compared to recent years..They funnel you into a small tent as you go in , extremely overcrowded and I saw people having panic attacks from the mass of people, some trying to use emergency exits to get out..If you were a vendor in that tent, you deserve a refund....STUPID...Never go again read more

Stay away from the current home show at Westworld in Scottsdale this weekend. The parking is a considerable distance from the single entrance and the show's layout requires you to enter and exit at the point the farthest from the regular parking. The venue itself is crowded with narrow aisles. Finally, there are too many vendors with items not related to home and garden to make it worth the cost of admission. Not worth the time or expense. This should be called the repeat vendor solicitation show. I do not want to be solicited by 8 TV cable vendors and the same exact products throughout the show. No displays were great with the exception of some plants at the garden display. This is a home show. Show me new and upcoming stuff; not what everyone is doing now. Woodlook tile flooring is everywhere, show me something new. It is a lot of walking and they only have two exits (one at the very beginning and one at the very end (and i couldn't find it). Had to walk all the way to the beginning to get out. If i want information on a company, I do not want to HAVE to fill out a form. Stop with the DRAWINGS for lead generation. You should require that a verifiable list of all winners past, is posted.. We know your games. You are better researching the internet if you have a project. No one vendor had any one product that was unique or different or innovative. Also, $38 for a burritto, quesadilla, fries, churro and two waters! Do not waste your day. read more
