He said I had an infection in there which I thought it was also. Put me on ear drops that didn't help. I went back and he suctioned out my ear and put me on a different ear drop told me to follow up in a week. The morning of the follow-up visit I had blood draining from my ear. I told hi about it when I went in that afternoon. He took. quick peek in my ear and told me it looks like you have another infection in there, blood usually indicates a ruptured eardrum and he gave me a script for z pak. When I asked him about a follow up he told me it was not necessary. Being very unhappy I went to another doc for a second opinion. I do not have a rupturned eardrum nor do I have an infection. I was sent for a CT scan and guess what doc. I have a recurrence of cholesteatoma. I am so glad I didn't listen to him. I DO NOT recommend this doctor. DO NOT go to him if you value your or a loved one's health.

I waited at least a week before calling to set up an appointment because I know it takes time for them to process the referral. When I called to make the appointment, the person I spoke to was kind, professional and very helpful. I saw Dr. Perlstein at the Tempe location. He was kind, knowledgeable and explained what was on my ultrasound in a way I could understand. He said I would need a biopsy, and thus a referral was sent to banner, and I was on my way. Fast forward to the end of December, my biopsy was done and I returned to Dr. Perlstein for the results. My husband, Dr. Perlstein and myself discussed the results and subsequent treatment options. Dr. Perlstein was great again at explaining things on the biopsy and different options on what to do. Every time she has been admitted, he has failed every single time to show her an ounce of care and come see her and explain anything. It is now Saturday, it's been since TUESDAY and her feeding tube has not been replaced. He hasn't seen her. Has not given her the results of her barium swallow to see if her throat has healed.
