Dr Bartell took care of my salivary gland that would swell whenever I ate anything. He's very thorough and took care of the problem.

I went in and was scheduled with Dr Allison. Not at all what I hoped for or needed. I know I have…read morea hearing issue but also wanted to see what was going on with repeat ear and sinus infections as well as bumps/sores in my nose. His words after looking ONLY at my nose was "I don't see a problem." Seriously my nose was tender to the touch due to the sores. The audiologist was ridiculous. She put a sample pair on me that were not working right/not programmed properly. I tested them for almost 2 wks, went back and told her the pair she put on me didn't make a difference. She claimed to try to change but couldn't figure out how so told me to take the first pair home and try them again. They didn't work the 1st 2 weeks so now they were supposed to magically start working? OR I could buy a pair (over $4,000). The overall experience lacked care and compassion from staffing, on time appts (I understand a few minutes late but not 45-60 minutes for every appt), follow up from there office, etc. oh, and I bought the brand Widex that she suggested, but not from them. And I paid a lot less than what they were going to charge.

So I would notice that everyone who came in later than me were going in first?!? So I asked the Front desk why? They just were rude and made me feel like I was a bother. After 2 hours wait I finally got in and Dr Chuang had no bedside manner whatsoever. I try to ask a question and he would interrupt me and not bother to listen to my question that my questions never got heard much less answered; he was rushing and quickly passed me on to another tech to do my hearing exam. On my follow-up visit, I was first to check-in and only person in the waiting area and noticed there was now a board that indicate how long is the wait. It showed zero minutes. I was pleased as I had another appointment that I need to be on time right after this one. Other patients started to come in and they again got called in before me. I looked at the board and it showed this time a 45 mins wait. I went to the front desk, and aired my grievances, asked for a refund of my co-pay & cancelled my appointment. I don't think staff and doctors care at all. A BAD EXPERIENCE ALTOGETHER!

Don't sign up for immunotherapy here. You'll just be signing up for three years of headaches. Their…read morehours vary week to week. They start each week by sending a text message newsletter about the upcoming week's hours of operation, and have a page on their website dedicated specifically to communicating their updated hours of operation at the start of each week. First, you have to question the consistency of a medical provider that varies their days of operation enough to even warrant these systems of weekly communication. Yet even then, there have been two instances in the past month alone where their communications got it wrong and they weren't actually open on a day when I drive out after double checking the week's text message and website updates. So make sure you like the idea of having to call their front desk every morning to confirm they're really open, because you simply can't trust that the communication they put out will be consistent nor accurate. They also advertise that best practice for immunotherapy involves coming in twice a week, but what they don't tell you is that the visits need to be spaced three days apart, and that their operating says often fluctuate in ways that make that frequency impossible to maintain. To be clear, this is not a unique exception for the holiday season, either. I could look past a single whoopsie or even a chaotic month, but this has been a persistent, ongoing issue for the past three months now. "The doctor decided to take a vacation next week" are words that I heard in October and simply don't fly in this context. While doctors absolutely deserve vacation days as much as anybody, we aren't talking about a surgery needing to be rescheduled. I just need a nurse to give me my weekly shot, and if the absence of a doctor on site prevents the place from even being open, then that is why medical registries exist -- to provide substitute coverage that enables the continuation of such fundamental care. Failing to contract with a registry is failing to value and protect patients' continuity of care. To be perfectly frank, that is willful negligence. Immunotherapy is a multi-year, weekly commitment that you pay big bucks for fully in advance. Before you make that commitment to a provider, make sure they're also prepared to make a commitment to you. This isn't a thrift store. It's a medical provider, and that should come with higher standards. Providing predictable hours for continuity of care, and a single source of truth regarding something so basic as their shifting days of operation, should be as reasonable as expectations can get. Yet at Aspire, meeting such basic expectations is either too challenging or not valued enough. You can let that headache trickle down to you, or you can sign up for care someplace else. I strongly encourage you to shop around before locking yourself into such a long and one-sided commitment.
