She stepped out for 5 minutes and returned to inform me "the doctor" insisted I need an MRI. I've been dealing with severe hearing loss for 15 years and don't present symptoms which warrant an MRI. Particularly from a doctor who never even spoke to me. It felt like a checklist visit and they refused to take any action unless I had an MRI. It's sad we must advocate so aggressively for quality care.

He said "I have no idea; let me remove wax" and we forewarned, AGAIN how sensitive his ear was to the touch, and he proceeded to grab his ear without any sensitivity and then during the process of removing wax with a vacuum dug in and when my husband said it hurts really bad while his leg was shaking from the pain, the Dr didn't stop and said "oh it's not that bad"

It is now Saturday, it's been since TUESDAY and her feeding tube has not been replaced. He hasn't seen her. Has not given her the results of her barium swallow to see if her throat has healed. I wish we were having the great results everyone one else was having with him, but he really seems to have dropped the ball with this patient. Find your heart and passion again dr. She operated on that Cancer, removed it and then arranged to have a great Radiation specialist do the follow-up radiation. I have been Cancer free for over 14 years now. I was told I would lose my Salivary glands due to the extreme radiation required, but the specialist she brought in was able to prevent any further problems. If not for her dedication and thoroughness I doubt I would be writing this now. Since then she has been my go to ENT and I have never been disappointed with her. I highly recommend Dr. Redfeldt for all your INT needs. She is a great physician. The depth of her knowledge is unmatched and She really cares for her patients.

I was having problems with my voice for the last 3 months and I felt uncomfortable swallowing at times. I scheduled an appointment for 9/23. 2 days later a person on her office staff called me and told me she would do a Telemedicine call only and if she saw fit, She would have me come in. GREAT! Docs are now charging patients their full copay, mine is $30 for a telephone consult an then charge another $30 to come into the office to be checked. $60.....come on! So, I call my other ENT in Phoenix. They told me by all means, come in, we even have an opening tomorrow. So I went in and had a full exam. He even scoped my throat by putting a endoscope in my nose and down my throat and had me make certain sounds. The Dr. found some problems that I will not go into her but he told me to discontinue an inhaler that I was using that was prescribed by another Dr. He also said some of my problem may be due to acid reflux and I may have to change from OTC meds to something more suited for my condition. So tell me, how could that diagnosis been made via the phone? It wold have cost me $60 instead of $30. This Telemdicine this is a racket, a licence for doctors to increase their bottom line.They can charge you your deductible and code whatever they want to the insurance company. I have already dismissed 3 of my long term docs for bad practices like this. I dismissed my PCP last November after 15 years. I was in a car accident and went to the hospital emergency. The Hospital told me to see my PCP and follow up in 3 weeks with my PCP. My normal copay is $20 to my PCP and he wanted $150, what a rip for a follow up. I told them I am a patient for 15 years, they told me that they asked the Dr. and he said that is the rate.I tried to get the Dr. to change it but no go, so I quit his practice also. He said I had an infection in there which I thought it was also. Put me on ear drops that didn't help. I went back and he suctioned out my ear and put me on a different ear drop told me to follow up in a week. The morning of the follow-up visit I had blood draining from my ear. I told hi about it when I went in that afternoon. He took. quick peek in my ear and told me it looks like you have another infection in there, blood usually indicates a ruptured eardrum and he gave me a script for z pak. When I asked him about a follow up he told me it was not necessary. Being very unhappy I went to another doc for a second opinion. I do not have a rupturned eardrum nor do I have an infection. I was sent for a CT scan and guess what doc. I have a recurrence of cholesteatoma. I am so glad I didn't listen to him. I DO NOT recommend this doctor. DO NOT go to him if you value your or a loved one's health.
