I had griot and the goat, wings, and i got my homie the snapper, white rice and black rice. All the food was spectacular except the wings. It made me feel like my gramma cooked for me. Rating easily been 5 stars but i have concerns about the cleanliness of the restaurant and the wings were super trash.

    1 hour long wait

Ordered some rice, plantains patties over the phone. Arrived 20 minutes later just to wait for 25 minutes until someone came of of the back. Once I was shown my food it was the wrong order. Then a lady went back to the kitchen for 15 more minutes just to come out and say we are out of patties and we are making your order now. Only 2 customers inside but still a super long wait just for a wrong order. After leaving my cloths now smell like pork.

    Oxtails and Black Rice Plate

My friend recommended I try some Haitian oxtails so I decided I would and these did not disappoint. It was a small and nice store and the wait was short. The rice was delicious and savory and the oxtails perfectly tender. The salad had a surprisingly spicy taste, like they put habanero in it. The plantain was just a tad sweet. Everything complimented each other I pour the oxtail curry over the rice for that extra kick. Will be returning!

I'll keep this short. Marie lady is very disrespectful I'm here on vacation and wanted to get a taste of my own kind of food ( I am Haitian). I ordered this $16.00 plate and to me it wasn't worth it more so the meat. They give so much rice and a little portion of meat. When I asked about the portion Marie automatically went into defensive mode talking crap in Creole as if I didn't understand!!!! I didn't get out of character like I'd normally would paid and left. Fast forward to how the food tasted. From a scale of 1-10 I give it a 4. I'm an island girl and I'm from Miami...if you know you know.. the meat really had no taste I had to pour the watered down sauce over the rice and meat to give it some kinda flavor. The picture I posted is the end of what I ate I just threw the whole plate away. Would I recommend absolutely not. Americans would probably like this but if you're a real Haitian you know it's low quality, no taste, no flavor. Just basic.

Great food! Reminds me of my mother's cooking! The food is fresh and tasty. I usually called ahead and my order is ready when I arrive.

Great food! Personable service! Authentic Haitian decor!…read more Enjoyed each and every moment of my visit. The pictures, articles and artwork grabbed my attention the moment I entered the restaurant. The diverse content educated on the history of Haiti featuring landmarks and anecdotes. I was first introduced to Jo Jo Fritay during FIFA World Cup activities this summer. Jo Jo shared the history, full menu options and invited me to visit the restaurant. My visit was factored into plans to be in Kennesaw. I truly was appreciative of the information and the continued hospitality from Lalin upon arrival. Lalin was extremely proficient and pleasant when answering all questions we had. She offered thoughtful suggestions as I wanted to try something new. I opted to get my go-to Haitian griot and added the Fritay. Fritay is a combo of fried sides. Not my norm, minus green plantain, but it was an extremely tasty combination of vegetables, green plantain and a dough like fried bread. Pikleaz inclusion was as a must as well as a side of gravy. My meal was enough to satisfy my appetite for two meals. The only thing missing was my obligatory djon djon rice. I was told that black rice (its other name) is only available on Sundays. Still extremely impressed with food, service and visuals!
