The service here is terrible. i had to yell to the back area two times to get someone to come out. The young woman was not helpful about the menu. We wanted to sit at a table but all were not clean and had remensbts of food on them. I told her and she said she'd clean up but never did. She never said my order was ready, she just put it on the ledge and never called me. I finally saw it. I wanted napkins and had to yell to the back again twice to get her only to find out all items are in a table in front. She should have told me that before. The other woman was a bit older and was very nice and I said the tables needed cleaning and she came out and did it. My everything bagle with salmon was the smallest bagel Ive ever had. There are a lot of things to like about Marietta Perks. The atmosphere is nice, and when I walked in and I saw there were private rooms to work in, I got excited. I write, and having a space to drink tea and do this in privacy that's not my house for a few hours sounded great. My complaint is the tea. I drink chai tea religiously, I put it on ice sometimes, add cream to it sometimes, I take it in all different forms. I walked up to the counter, there were 2 women who were very nice and friendly behind it. I asked what brand chai tea they carried. I've drank lots of different brands and I generally know whether I will like it or not. The woman that helped me couldn't tell me the brand, but said they could let me taste it to see if I would like it. They pre brew it, she said it was concentrated and at room temperature in a pitcher. She poured me a tiny cup of the tea, I took a sip- and immediately coughed. It tasted like a liquid form of the strongest big red gum ever, in a word, inedible. I told her this and she though from my reaction that big red was alcohol not gum, lol. I asked if she had ever tasted this stuff she was serving and she said no. But she assured me when they make it into a late it will taste better and diluted from the strong flavor. I got it iced as a late. As soon as I tasted the iced version I winced. It was no better. In fact after coming home and trying to force myself to like it, I realized it was so strong it was burning my taste buds off. Nope, I threw it away. A few days later my husband goes to try this place out and to be nice brings me home... yes a chai tea late from there. I tried it again, trying to show appreciation for his thoughtfulness and thinking maybe it was a one off thing, nope. It's absolutely disgusting. I told my husband so and he, who is a coffee drinker but occasional tea drinker, gave it a shot. He spit his sip out in our sink. I seriously don't know how someone could stomach a whole cup of this. If this is a top seller I will be completely gobsmacked. I urge whoever is the buyer of teas there: Please choose something different!! I won't be coming back for a while. I'll give it another try in a few months with the hope that it will be different than these 2 occasions. I liked everything there but the product. read more

They have separate rooms that groups can meet. My meetup group were able to craft masquerade masks.

They have lots of studying chairs, study rooms, and outletsss!! I love their new deli case items too! They carry cinnamon rolls that are the size of a cat's head, and they're absolutely amazing when they warm them up. read more

LOVE this place for working or studying. Great atmosphere! The girls behind the counter are super sweet too. As for the coffee, I have tried a latté, iced coffee and hot coffee. The latté was over steamed and therefore burned sadly. I know I got the last cup out of the pot that had been there a bit, so it wasn't great. I am attributing both of these things to them super super new and still learning. I will be back to see them again! read more

I like the space and it's decently quiet for studying. However, the staff is not the greatest. They are not very accommodating for customers. I had a significant allergy issue but they were more concerned with getting more money than with attempting to fix the issue. That rubbed me the wrong way and made me not want to return. Not a bad place at all but the manager (I think she was the manager, short curly blonde hair) is a bit stingy. read more

Incredibly friendly, enthusiastic, and welcoming employees, the owner greets almost every customer that walks in on a first name basis, and the coffee is made to perfection.
