Immediately after our food arrived, one person in our party complained that her catfish was soggy instead of flaky and tasted old. She traded it out for shrimp. I ordered the Blackjack Salmon. Before leaving, I immediately began feeling sick. I thought maybe I had been accidentally glutened, even though the waiter assured me everything I ate was gluten free. Our family recently visited for dinner. The food was okay, not the best seafood we've had, but not terrible either. It honestly looks better than it tastes. Very little seasoning and flavor. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, and we appreciated her service. However, we won't be returning after learning that this establishment recently hosted a lecture titled "Islam and the Threat to America." As a Muslim American and a paying customer, it's deeply disappointing and hurtful to see a business we've supported choose to give a platform to such divisive and discriminatory messaging. We believe restaurants should be places that welcome everyone in the community with respect. First off it's a good little drive for us to get here for a birthday lunch. But let me tell yall parking was easy but during busier times I could see an issue with that. I had the pick 2 combination plate. Wait before I go there the bread they serve with the butter is second to none! It was delicious. I started to be greedy but I left some for yall. But you understand why I want you get in we were seated almost immediately because they've expanded the restaurant. The service was top-notch our waitress was on top of everything even though she had many other tables to take care of the restaurant was clean as always, a very nice family, friendly atmosphere and the food is some of the best seafood around. The Marietta Fish Market came highly recommended by a colleague so I was really excited to take my boyfriend here for his birthday. Unfortunately, the experience ended up being pretty disappointing. To start with the positives: the drinks were good, and our server was incredibly kind and attentive. No complaints there. That said, the food was a letdown. The bread that came out was very clearly preheated day-old bread. The outside was extremely hot to the touch, but the inside was mushy, which is exactly what happens when old bread is microwaved. We asked for a second basket and it came out the exact same way. Both of our entrées were underwhelming, to the point that neither of us finished our meals, which is rare for us, especially if the food is good. I had been looking forward to dessert (the cake), but after being disappointed by the meal, we decided to leave and go somewhere else instead. Back to the great staff, they did bring out a slice of cheesecake and sang happy birthday which was a thoughtful gesture. The cheesecake was good. I'm not sure if this was just an off night. The perfect seafood restaurant without the hefty price tag. The food and drinks are always good and consistent. I went last night for date night. Living in Atlanta 2 full courses and two alcoholic beverages for $88 is a steal. We were seated immediately upon walking in. The waiter was okay I've had better here. We both ordered the pick two combination that included a baked potatoe and coleslaw. I had the fried shrimp and broiled scallops. My boyfriend had the fried shrimp and catfish. I felt like as soon as I sat down my server judged me and then continue to like ignore me. It was a party of 2 but I was sat as a single first. We go here all the time and last nights dinner was disappointing. We ordered the spinach dip and had to send it back bc it was so thick we couldn't even use the chips to dip it in. When it came back the second time it was the same. We then had to wait a long time for dinner and when it finally came the fish was so dry it was hard to eat. The risotto was inedible. It was lumpy and dry and not creamy. Also the floors were re-done with the remodel and they don't know how to clean them properly. You slip and slide all over the restaurant. The restaurant was not full on a Saturday night and probably because there has been a serious decline in the food quality. We used to love this place, unfortunately the food quality is not what it used to be. Few things that bother us: 1. Atmosphere: Feels and smells dirty. Weird vibe. Run-down, while masquerading as eclectic. 2. Waiter brought my drink is a badly chipped glass... not a little chip, but a big 1/2" chunk that was obvious. Waiter apologized, but its simple details like this that cause lawsuits, or non-return customers. 3. Artichoke dip was room temperature and stiff. You couldn't dip into it. Wanted to complain but just put it on end of table and waiter didn't have the common-sense to ask if there was a problem. 4. Food portions smaller, while costs risen. We decided to give this place a try after a suggestion from a friend. I'm very happy we did!! There was a wait of about 30 minutes on a Saturday evening for a party of 9, but it was definitely worth the wait. The service was superb with our server staying on top of drinks along with making wonderful food suggestions after some questions. The large salt water fish tank was really neat to see while we waited along with gazing over the cakes that greet you to your left when you walk in. Well..I wanted to try Marietta Fish Market..begged my husband to take me there for a late Mother's Day Dinner. Food was just okay..but our waiter horrible. We like to dine slowly with glasses of wine, appetizers and then dinner. We both ordered appetizers just okay for my appetizer $28.99..his 21.99...well the wine pour is horrible about a 4 ounce pour.After 2 glasses we decided that a bottle would be way cheaper than by glass because at 4 ounces a pour (if that) they were getting 7 glasses out of one bottle. We'll anyway we asked the waiter to get us a bottle instead of by the glass and he said WHAT..like we were crazy then when he understood we wanted a bottle of wine he said okay ( LIKE we had to get his permission) then he plopped the wine on the table and just walked away. No chilling of wine basically room temperature...no opening of wine...no pouring of wine..so I preceded to screw off top and pour our own wine. Then when we ordered the waiter under his breath ..About time.. and took our order..like we were deaf. I was so appalled I was speechless. $175 bill with service that was beyond any good service with okay food. And here's the real topper we are both in the service industry, my husband is a server at Seed. He was dumbfounded at the lack of pride our server took in his service. It's a nice place and the wait staff is first rate, but the seafood was over-breaded and over cooked. It was our first visit and my partner ordered the fish and chips. The fish came out looking a browned potato. There's a piece of fish in there, somewhere. I had the shrimp and haddock, the shrimp was over cooked to the point of being tough. The haddock was locked into a mass of crisp breading. Obviously, its a popular place and perhaps our meal was an exception. This was my first time. The decor was lovely and classy. We had a large group. Our server was very efficient and pleasant. We came for the Early Bird dinner. I should've come home and defrosted the frozen pack I had already. I assumed MFM had fresh ones, but after my first bite, I knew they had been frozen. I got about 13 scallops and 15 hush puppies. I know that they are an expensive protein, and I was prepared and did pay the $30+ for the large plate. I was just disappointed with the quality. I'll go back to MFM in the future. The Halibut and jumbo shrimp was awesome and fresh. They brought this hot bread. Even the knife was hot. It was soft and buttery. The seafood bisque was creamy with bits of seafood. The baked potato was baked and fluffy potato not lumpy. My highlight was a smoking old fashion with the amarena cherries and a smokiness. The service was fast and attentive. Passed by this restaurant and decided to visit. It was a beautiful layout of decor and seating. The blue, ocean was soothing. And enough walking space between booths and tables. I think his name was Joey who serviced our table. He was wonderful and very attentive as her serviced other patrons in the area. The food presentation is on point but thats it and that's all. The baked/charbroiled salmon was a portion with no herbal enhancement punishing the palate. They didn't even squeeze lemon juice or top with garlic butter. The mixed veggies tasted as if they were steamed in water or steamed in PAM. The shrimp were grilled with no butter on the side to navigate it's purpose for being on the plate. The lemon potatoes were good . The whole red Snapper was great! It was fried hard like I love it. I wasn't a fan of the tartar sauce but I dealt with it. We sat at the table with Tabasco, Cajun Seasoning to help us get through the meal. Now, rhe worse of it all was the fried Calamari rings that is normally served with a marinara sauce. The content was liquid . I felt as if they had given me a taste of V8 juice in a sample cup. So, I requested a side of ranch dressing to accommodate my dipping. Again no flavor. Just frozen rings dumped in grease with maybe smoked paprika sprinkled for an edge of a taste. Now, if you just want a drink, the bartender had the right measurements to keep you entertained while patiently waiting for your food. Firstly i absolutely love the ambiance and decor! Falling water falls to to huge fish tanks filled with fish, this place was very appealing to the eyes. Service was great and honestly the whole staff. Bill the manager was amazing. As appetizers i ordered the zucchini fries (awesome!) and the oysters combo (absolutely have to order two next time) they where phenomenal. My son had chicken tenders and fries that he loved. Plusses - all the dishes we tried were very good ( and LARGE) although the two fish entrees were a bit overwhelmed by a butter lemon sauce. Tasty, just too much. The service was pleasant and efficient. Deltas - it was so crowded and loud that the 4 of us had a tough time hearing each other. We were in a booth across from a very large party, which didn't help. My regards to the update of the internal update. Now let me tell you about the food! This is the first time we have been here in some time. The clam chowder was really salty. We ordered the cat fish, when we got our food the fish was over cooked and the baked potato looked like it just came out of the microwave.
