Having never navigated the car-buying process alone--without my dad or husband's guidance--I visited and contacted numerous dealerships. From the very first interaction, it was clear this one stood head and shoulders above the rest. Their professionalism, warmth, and genuine commitment to customer happiness made what could have been stressful feel seamless and joyful. Hugh in sales deserves every bit of praise I can offer. He was extraordinarily patient as I walked him through my vision for this surprise gift, answering every question with clarity and never once making me feel like a novice. What truly set him apart was how far he went to ensure the moment would be perfect. He personally drove the truck to a friend's house and arrived with a huge red bow tied on the hood--turning a simple delivery into something magical. His thoughtfulness and "above-and-beyond" spirit made the entire surprise a resounding success, and I will never forget that kindness. Mike, the manager, brought the same level of positive energy and efficiency. Friendly and solution-oriented, he quickly coordinated all the custom upgrades I wanted, making sure every detail aligned with my husband's tastes and our family's needs. In finance, Josh was equally impressive. He explained every option with honesty and patience, never rushing me and always prioritizing what we truly needed rather than what might look best on paper. His knowledge and straightforward approach gave me complete confidence in my decisions. This dealership isn't just about selling vehicles--it's about creating meaningful experiences and building trust. In a world where car buying can often feel transactional, their team made it personal, caring, and even fun. I left feeling genuinely cared for, and my husband's reaction when he saw his truck made every moment worth it. If you're looking for a truck (or any vehicle) and want to work with people who truly listen and go the extra mile, I cannot recommend this dealership highly enough. Five stars, without hesitation. Thank you, Hugh, Mike, Josh, and the entire team--you've earned a customer for life!

This Toyota used to be okay but something happened in the last year. I tried to schedule an…read moreappointment to take my car in for servicing and it was ridiculously difficult. I left multiple voicemails and nobody got back. Finally, I got someone on the phone who didn't really put a lot of effort into helping me. She couldn't take the time to look up my vehicle in their system and tell me what was covered with this service plan based on my mileage. Nevermind that i have been taking my car there for years so that info should be easily accessible. Instead, she transferred me to voicemail. I left multiple voicemails, never got a single call back. Finally called and asked to speak to a supervisor, only to get yet another voicemail box. This one was completely full so I was unable to leave a voicemail. WOW. This is the worse service I have ever received at any Toyota and I have been a Toyota customer for decades. I ended up going to Hansel in Petaluma which was a great experience. Even though I had never been there and I wasn't in their computer, they were able to tell me what was included before i came in. They told me how much it would cost and scheduled me in the next day. Everybody was super nice and it's an overall much nicer dealership. I recommend anyone reading this ditch Novato Toyota and go to Hansel in Petaluma!

Because of that I was in the process of purchasing a car from Carvana so I wouldn't have to deal with a car salesman and all the others, like the finance manager who always tries to pressure you into buying an extended warranty, and this or that. Or the salesman saying he'd have to check with his manager BS. I saw the vehicle I wanted advertised on their web site at what was a good price. I thought I would try again, so I drove 100 miles to take a look. What a great experience! This is like no other dealership I have ever been to. The salesman is the owner. He is very personable and applies absolutely no pressure. I decided to buy the vehicle I saw advertised. I said I suppose you want to now sell me an extended warranty. He said only if you want to buy one. I told him I didn't and he said OK. They prepped the vehicle and I took it home. It was detailed with care and was immaculate. I highly recommend North Bay Motors. Next time I buy a car, I will go there first.

It was doing me no good sitting in my driveway! Looking to sell as is, not deal with the hassle or stress of a private sale, and just get the car off my hands, I called CarMax, everyone I dealt with was friendly and professional. They advised me to go through the process online, being honest about the car's condition, and set up an appointment for the in person appraisal. They emailed an estimate offer and I fully expected that number to drop once I got the car on the lot. Nope! They gave me the exact number from the email- And I felt that number was fair given the circumstances. Marisol took care of the process, in about 30 minutes, the title was transferred, paperwork signed, and I left with a check in hand. If you're looking for ease, highly recommend!

I can save many of you your valuable time if you read this…read more Had a very new luxury car (6 months old) and decided to go in another direction with another car but needed to sell the current one. Went online to CarMax.com and entered the VIN. Within seconds, on the website I get an 'offer' to buy my car. It says Carmax will buy your car for $64k-$73k. First and foremost, I knew they would lowball, but thought it was free to at least try. Here's the key to the bait and switch which is well documented online in reviews and with the BBB. The 'offer' stipulates that the car must be brought in to the nearest CarMax for the 'sales team' to further evaluate and ultimately determine what the sale price will be based on the spectrum they sent me. Ok. New car. Perfect condition. Logical that they'd offer the highest number...even though that number is significantly less than KBB. Drove to Santa Rosa, pleasant enough sales guy looks at the car and with 45 minutes I receive a written offer for just above the lowest amount initially sent to me. I was confused and said to the sales person, but your offer was a range and this is so low, why wouldn't you offer me the higher number as the car is new? She said, what offer did we send you? I grabbed my phone and looked at all the emails that were sent to me when I got my offer online from CarMax. I was so confused, NONE of the emails had the offer amounts. Did I lose it? I then realized. The offer that CarMax sends to you is only on your computer screen and when you close down (as you have confirmation emails right?), the offer numbers are GONE. The high number they flash on the screen is JUST a way to get people to come to the dealership where they then give you a lowball offer. Shame on me for falling for this, at best, deceptive scam, at worst, illegal business practice-one that is clearly VERY common based on all the reviews out there. Beware.
